    As always folks, if you find this useful, consider taking a second to grace it with your thumbs-up and subscribe to the channel if you haven’t already - I put out one or two detailed tutorial videos per week and often have free app giveaways. I will soon have giveaways coming on Mynth by Fingerlab and on Pure Piano by E-Instruments, keep your eyes peeled for a notification.
    Please do me a favour and remember to support the channel by not watching behind an adblocker, by donating by PayPal if it is within your means, and maybe by watching the odd ad or two. Huge thanks to all the channel regulars for your great support and appreciation of my work 🙏 - more people have been watching ads and I can actually see that the RUclips ad revenue is increasing. Big thanks everyone!
    Don’t forget you can follow me on Twitter at @gavinski_s and on Instagram at instagram.com/gavinskistutorials. Alternatively, just search using my channel name on either of these and you will find me. I generally only post music related stuff. Also, if you enjoy the channel and would like to show your appreciation, my PalPal is
    paypal.me/GavinskisTutorials
    PayPal donations make a really huge difference to how sustainable my continuing to do this channel is, so I am very happy when people support me in this way, and will certainly take the time to email you to thank you personally if you do 🙏.

    As crazy detailed as your walkthrough was you did overlook the Wow and Flutter Sync buttons that allow you to sync to the Tape Speed itself or Sync to quarter notes, eighth notes etc. A petty and minor observation, indeed, but it isn't a Gavinski vid without all the deets. ..an aces one, at that.

    My dude I literally bought Reelbus 3 days before this launched 😂. When I first saw it I was like... well, I guess now I have twice as many tape emulators as I originally intended to have 😁.
    Hey dude have you checked out Pure Piano? Just curious because of Ravenscroft. It might be too early to say but I think I have found a piano I prefer (in comparison to Ravenscroft), definitely check it out especially now that it’s on intro sale!

    • @GavinskisTutorials
      @GavinskisTutorials  3 года назад

      They sent me a copy today, finally! I still prefer Ravenscroft I think, but I probably need to investigate further. What do u prefer about it?

    • @EnriquePage91
      @EnriquePage91 3 года назад

      @@GavinskisTutorials to be honest pretty much everything, it is far more versatile if you consider the effects and the way better implemented velocity curve. Even the sound, feels rivaling to me... and even though Ravenscroft has fixed their UI, for the longest time it bothered me every time I had to use it on the iPhone because of how bad the UI-UX was. Luckily, it’s better now... but it still doesn’t compare to Pure Piano in that regard.
      When it comes to sound, do you prefer Ravenscroft then? I didn’t notice much of a difference especially because of the EQs on both : seems like you can shape both sounds quite a lot so sound isn’t what defines this for me as at least I find them equivalent in that regard. The effect pad on Pure Piano is so useful tough.
      On the other hand, Ravenscroft crashes a lot... I still haven’t used much Pure piano, at least not in comparison but I have yet to experience a crash whereas with Ravenscroft it was almost a daily thing.
      Last, well, it’s cheaper... much cheaper if you buy it now for 14 bucks, while on 50% sale.
      I’m curious as to why you prefer Ravenscroft !

    • @EnriquePage91
      @EnriquePage91 3 года назад

      Ravenscroft was my “Main instrument” on my default AUM template, I replaced it already :}

    • @GavinskisTutorials
      @GavinskisTutorials  3 года назад

      I have barely compared them yet as I just got pure piano. But basically when I ran this lioop from Paino Motifs through them both, Ravenscroft was the clear winner, even using the EQs. Piano Motifs use a lot of sustain, and it seemed to be, at least partly, something about the quality of the sustained note sound, which was much more resonant on Ravenscroft than any of the Pure Piano settings. Again, just an initial impression, but if you have Piano Motifs, try it and see.

    • @GavinskisTutorials
      @GavinskisTutorials  3 года назад

      But yeah, Ravenscroft does crash occasionally, though not every day for me, no way, and it definitely has issues wotjh Polyphony which cause it to work badly with Polyphase, so I am keen to compare how these two handle Polyphase.

    Thank you again for making a video tutorial on this app. Pianos always sounds great with old Reel to Reels. I'm going to overuse this app for sure. Loving the demo at the end as well.
    I like switching between the tape speeds, it sounds like a broken microcasette player.
    You mentioned in the beginning The Disintegration Loops. My question is - is there a way to automatically have the variance go from 0.00 to 1.00 gradually (even better - with you choosing the time it takes it to reach 1.00) so it can create the same degrading tape effect that's happening in TDL? Like, creating a loop, run Chow on it, go take a shower and come back with a completely ruined music loop?

    • @GavinskisTutorials
      @GavinskisTutorials  3 года назад

      Well, u could maybe try automating it with a slow lfo like the lfos in Midi Lfos set to the slowest speed, which is crazy slow. Or you could draw a line for that automation in something like Midi Mixer or Polyphase

    Sounds good. But I laugh every time I hear about Lo fi stuff. I remember a time not long ago when everyone was ready to put out lots of cash for CD sound to get rid of all if those sounds. So one day we want crystal clear, crisp sound and then suddenly we buy electronics to bring the noise back. What's next? How do we decide what we like? How does everyone like the exact same things at the same time? Fashion and trends blows my mind. It's as if noone has any taste of their own. Their taste is based on what is trendy. "It's what everyone is listening to these days". Why does that mean we have to like it?

    • @GavinskisTutorials
      @GavinskisTutorials  3 года назад +2

      Of course it doesn't! In fairness, lofi stuff has been popular since the 90s, in the indie scene etc, but also in underground hop hop and many other genres. It is only recently that it has kind of exploded as it got embraced by people in more mainstream hip hop etc but yeah, that's just the way people are I guess, they like novelty and often what is novel is just a rediscovery of something that previously had gone out of fashion.

    • @perrypelican9476
      @perrypelican9476 3 года назад

      @@GavinskisTutorials thats the word that I find strange in our society. "Fashion and trends". People go for whatever is fashionable and trendy, determined by who? Who decides on what should be trendy. It's as if we don't have taste anymore. We are limited by what the kardashians decide should be in fashion. You have to admit it's weird. And I think it is why pop music today is so boring. There are the few who everyone wants to sound like and no one has their own thing. Creativity is stifled by this restriction called fashion and trend. I hope you get my point.

    • @GavinskisTutorials
