Hi Tim TLC $$$ 😅😅 Tim I ordered a new silverado last year in Feb and got it in June so since then if I ordered the same truck now it's $16K more . Ya it's just nuts out there for vehicle prices. Take Care bud 👍
Wow. That’s crazy. Glad you got a fresh one when you did. The dealership next door doesn’t have any on the lot. Super sad. Hope things are good with you buddy.
I serviced the T-cases on the wife's 06 Trailblazer and my 04 TB EXT last winter. Good idea to check the fluid level regularly. And if your 4WD vehicle has a setting for "automatic 4 wheel drive", where the vehicle will shift into and out of 4WD when it thinks it needs to, DON'T USE IT!! The constant shifting in and out of 4WD is really hard on the clutch packs in there! I'm willing to bet that using A4WD and not keeping up with fluid checks and replacement is the cause of 95% of T-case failures. Keep it in 2WD until you really need 4WD, thne use it and shift back to 2WD as soon as you hit dry pavement. And keep up with the fluid maintenance.
when I worked in the oil and gas fields those GM transfer cases wouldn't last 80 KM in Canadas northerner BC country. shame really , even the t case pump tabs would wear through the case lol .
Not too bad considering it was totaled and put back together I guess. Drives pretty bad since it needs a front end alignment at least. Still a decent vehicle.
It's sad that people always want to rip someone off. Awesome video thanks for sharing. Tim, It's great to see you. I hope everything is going well for you. Stay safe & well my friend.
Often a pos is hard to diag, because so much is wrong with it. This was easy since the insides of the trans case ended up on your floor !!! I too would worry about a valid tittle since no numbers seemed to match, including the licence plate..Good to see you back Tim.
My 07 avalanche tc just kicked the bucket. Would a tc from a Tahoe be compatable?. Or any truck from the same year?. Thanks for your time and keep these awesome videos coming.
Man i miss your videos Car Dr. come on with them please! You’ve helped me time and time again. I think probably 8-10 different instances you’re helped me with my trucks and every time you’ve been exactly on point. One of my favorite RUclips channels. 2005 Chevy Avalanche
I would have them check the vehicle before they spend money to make sure it is not stolen. And you car doctor don't loose money on your labor. Hope to see the next video up date. Greetings from Arizona. Take care.
Needed a transfer case on an Escalade I owned. Got a good used one and it worked just fine. Have to be careful when buying a vehicle now a days. Glad to see you back posting. Missed you.
thats crazy and the used car market is too
👍👍 Awesome
Good luck 👍
What brand car hoist do you use?
It will suck to be stopped on the hwy because of the questionable history of your vehicle!
That’s all sorted out I guess. I was concerned for a bit.

Same SUV…I love my truck but yes it has problems… GM come on… you can do better
I really like your vidz. I drive Chevy products lol. Would be nice to see longer vidz.👍😀
I hear you. I’ve been busy building a new video studio and I’ll be making some more content in the weeks ahead. Pls stay tuned. Blessings.
I think ull just drain it on the floor 😂
Dont have a pan?
Hey @thecardoctor I have a 2005 GMC 2500 duramax but it's just 2wd. Think it's possible to put 4x4 in it? Maybe use a doner truck?
Don’t see why not but that’s a ton of work. Even the transmission needs to have the tail shaft changed I believe. Fun stuff.
Too bad. Good diagnosis, doctor.
She’s all better now. I wish they were all that easy to diagnose. Haha
I gotta 2007 suburban misfire on cylinder 1 3 5 7 pulled valve cover do NOT have collapsed lifter
Watch your bank 1 O2 volts. If it’s fixed at 400-600mv your O2 is bad. Otherwise you’ll want to check for a restricted cat.
04 Chevy trailblazer 4.2 6 cil jumping hesitation while driving new motor new PCM all new parts sensors on motor what could be the problem

Good day My 2019 pkup has that on, I like 2 wd to test road conditions & then I know roughly how fast to drive on highway Thanks
I agree. I use 4x4 high and not auto. Good info.

Yes, lots of oil pump clips wearing through the case half. In this case that was the only thing that wasn’t worn out. Haha.
Hey you have a living to make, youtube is just a hobby.
i suspect the rear wheel drive doobre is ill lol :-D
Just a guess :-D
She couldn’t get out of her driveway. Haha. It’s been very icy around here lately.
Good day from Ontario.. Boy that does not look good, even though truck looks real good for 07. Thanks for now

Thank you!!
No. Thank you
Yikes...always a nice wake up call for me to hear how these things pan out...cant wait for the update🍻🤘👏
The vehicle wasn’t stolen so that was nice. The tcase was smoked for sure. The front end on that Yukon needs some TLC but could be worse. Blessings.

Guess it was totaled before and they stuck a door on it off a suburban that had a vin sticker on it. Confusing.
Hey, welcome back! Hope all is well. Hope to hear an update. Be interesting.
Been a long slog.

How’s going my good doctor
Long time didn’t see you
God i miss the days of locking hubs and shifters on the floor !
Boy those were the days.
Hi Tim. Good to see you again. I trust all is well in the great North! Oh crap, that doesn't look good.
Haha. Yes, there wasn’t much inside that case worth saving.
Welcome back Tim. Long time no hear from. Hopefully you'll be posting again soon. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you!
Oooo there were part numbers in that fluid. Hi Tim! Hope you're well.
Haha. Yep
I would have them check the vehicle before they spend money to make sure it is not stolen. And you car doctor don't loose money on your labor. Hope to see the next video up date. Greetings from Arizona. Take care.
Turned out to be fine. They had some used parts from other vehicles on it. It was totaled and reconstructed I guess.Needs some more TLC.
Nice looking 3/4 ton yukon...sure hope it's not stolen. Good to hear from you Car Dr.
It’s clean I guess. It’s a decent ride.
Nice to see you back! Ouch for your customer.. Looking forward to the resolution.
Spoiler alert. It got a new unit. It still needs some front end work and a few other things but it wasn’t stolen which is what I was concerned about.
Needed a transfer case on an Escalade I owned. Got a good used one and it worked just fine. Have to be careful when buying a vehicle now a days.
Glad to see you back posting. Missed you.
Thanks for watching. Glad that used transfer case worked out for you. At least they aren’t too hard to change out.
