The Imperium having the Aeldar as allies would be so clutch. They are the faction most suited on eliminating Sla'anesh. The Imperium has a huge and vast resource and power to bolster and complement the Aeldar's.
I'm not immensely aware of Aeldar lore, but aren't they at risk of just straight up having thier soul snatched when they die? that might be the drukari, I know it's one of them
@@Lunalander226it’s true of all the Eldar, they just have different methods of dealing with it. The Asuryani, the Craftworlders, basically have to chill out and cultivate severe autism to ensure that a rock absorbs their soul instantly when they die, so they can be plugged into the psychic mainframe of their Craftworld. Drukhari just torture people to stop being soul-drained, and have their scientists clone them if they are killed. And Harlequins become one with their clown god in death, so they don’t have to fear death at all.
Here's the problem: They'd have no reason to keep the alliance when the threat of Slaanesh is gone. Given their history of fucking over humanity which began during the age of strife, it'd be foolish to trust them so wholeheartedly.
@@ULTIMATZEKROM they never fucked over humanity during the age of strife. It was written that xenos races aggressed humanity during that period, but it was never specified which ones. As far as I know, the Aeldari didn't give a damn about humanity before the Great Crusade, especially before the birth of Slaanesh, when their power was so great that they literally used wars with Orks as a form of distraction.
And not only that but also having to play with their rules too, because if he doesnt the best case scenario is hes branded a heretic by the insanely zealous and corrupt megalomaniacs around him, or the worst case - shatters the imperium from the inside by mistake. Hes got to work with them, and play a long with the whole "you dad is a God" bullshit that he knows is not only untrue but he never wanted (allegedly - because he was reeeeeeeally bad at not giving off "im a god vibes" lol). and all these idiots hes dealing with are also just completely unreasonable.
These are the ones that replaced the ones he purged: when he first came back, he basically went to the high lords and said "hey, I'm changing some thing around." They didn't like that, so they sent their centurion space marines after him. Some high lords were killed. Others were thrown to the street stripped of all wealth and power.
Humans with power will let worlds burn before they humble themselves. Tyranids and chaos at the door, still those highlords can't see the bigger picture.

@@dejannincic9671From what I can see, it depends on what faction of each group you are talking about. I don't know 40k inside and out, but I'm pretty sure there are factions within most of the races that could ally safely and effectively with the Imperium. Even the orcs, after a fashion. Though that would be mostly convincing them that the Imperium can bring them to a better fight than the Inperium can give them.
A murmur went around the room: The Master of the Administratum: Do these eldar need air air to breathe? I thought we banned the breathing of air last Tuesday? The Grand Provost Marshal: I AM THE LAW! Fabricator General: You should just replace your lungs with respirators 🎶 Kitten: Oh emperor, how did I get roped into this? (ANGRY CAT NOISES)
With chaos and tyranids running ever more rampant I believe that the imperium may need to swallow its pride. It isn’t a sign of weakness to forge alliances with others. Shout out to the giant, tiberos the red wake.
Guilliman is doing good by making a truce with the Eldar cause if the races do not work together the Chaos and Tyranid will destroy them all and then the Orcs needs to be dealt later
So did the Commodore of the Navy. I hate agreeing with the High Lords, but the Eldar have proven time and time again that they aren't trustworthy, even after the Aeldari/Drukhari split.

Also Dark Eldars probably cackle a lot.
Guilliman is really trying to do reasonable diplomacy which he was always built for but waa forbidden in old times from negotiating with aliens. What he could have accomplished had the Imperium sought alien allies in the Great Crusade.
Guilliman knows that a truce, even if a temporal one between eldar and human iis possible. He unfortunately also knows that on each side, many would cling to the lamest excuse to start killing each other
Some bloody how the distant pencil pusher during the Heresy is now the only one with both a functioning common sense and a bloody back bone. Blueberry king's return is literally the best thing that could have happened to the Imperium.
Eldar have perfect control over their body motion and posture. The fact that he specifically made the kneel look hesitant means that he wanted Guilliman to know either he was uncomfortable or that he doesn't serve humans, but that he simply respects them.
I think it was less a message to Guilliman, and more to the High Lords. "I am exactly as unhappy to be here as you are to have me here. But, I'm here regardless, so the formalities must be obeyed. I will do your silly gestures of respect and submission, and you will... You're... not even going to pretend to listen. Of course not."

Do also remember that Illiyan Nastase is the half-Eldar half-Human chief librarian of the Ultramarines. He's more than entitled to speak as an ambassador of Eldar people.
I mean the Eldar is already being somewhat forced to be cordial to humans hell he even kneeled before the primarch if anything their should have been some sort of amusement from the humans. Sometimes I wonder if/when will the constant forceful compliaces of the laws enacted or just doing what Guilliman wants will bite him in the ass. Then there seems to be also a preference for transhumans to rule over regular humans as seen in the reforging of the 500 worlds of Ultramar.
@@Soundwave142Eldar generally move differently to humans, a kneel is probably just a clumsy and awkward pose to them, but he adopted it because it’s a sign of respect that the humans would understand.
An eldar trying to bow to a group humans? That is a very rare and unique moment. Guilliman was right to pursue an alliance with the Eldar. The Imperium is full of enemies on every front, so is the situation of the Eldar. An alliance is the most logical thing.
Immensely. The Aeldari have some insane tech and hundreds of extremely skilled seers, plus a whole planet-sized library containing every bit of knowledge there is to know on chaos. Their problem is minuscule quantity, with the Imperium to cover for that, and the Aeldari’s knowledge on how to deal with Chaos, both would benefit greatly.
The high lords also treated the mechanicum with disdain (post heresy) until they marched a fracking titan up to the chamber and reminded them why their alliance was needed for survival.

@@ULTIMATZEKROM Other threats to the craftworlds still exist outside of Slaanesh. Chaos is just one side of the die.
"MY WIFEY IS ONE OF THEM!" - Roundhouse Godzilla man, Probably
That’s why I like Guiliman he’s no nonsense and does not any shite whether they be friends or foes is respected by both
G-man having that *my dog won't stop barking while I'm talking to someone important moment*
Jesus, imagine being G man and having to work with these people 24/7
And not only that but also having to play with their rules too, because if he doesnt the best case scenario is hes branded a heretic by the insanely zealous and corrupt megalomaniacs around him, or the worst case - shatters the imperium from the inside by mistake.
Others were thrown to the street stripped of all wealth and power.
in my head that is the real canon for the Horus Heresy... The constant bitching and hindrances from petty burocrats drove him mad
are we Sure Guilliman isn't the favorite son? By the Emperor i love this man
I can only imagine what they would say if their lord commander guilliman was in a Relationship with yvraine or was going to marry her
Slaanesh is the problem
imagining abelard in the same room as guilliman is hilarious
Humans with power will let worlds burn before they humble themselves. Tyranids and chaos at the door, still those highlords can't see the bigger picture.
Oh trust me the Eldar, Tao and Necrons are prety much the same
Ah. Like irl. Hah.
Gulliman is destroying there whole understanding of the imperium. Now there not the most important people anymore and have to follow Gulliman's lead. Being treated like unruly children. They hate this so much
@@dejannincic9671From what I can see, it depends on what faction of each group you are talking about. I don't know 40k inside and out, but I'm pretty sure there are factions within most of the races that could ally safely and effectively with the Imperium. Even the orcs, after a fashion. Though that would be mostly convincing them that the Imperium can bring them to a better fight than the Inperium can give them.
@@dr.insanity9087 Those factions you speak of are few and far between, though. And even then, the exceptions just prove the rule even more.
G man brought the hammer down swiftly! And rightfully so. I appreciate the transylvanian accent our eldar ambassador had tho. Not the most soothing
A murmur went around the room:
The Master of the Administratum: Do these eldar need air air to breathe? I thought we banned the breathing of air last Tuesday?
The Lord Commander Militant of the Imperial Guard: I asked our Guards to stop breathing so much, need to keep the best air for ourselves. Just in case it runs out.
The Grand Provost Marshal: I AM THE LAW!
Fabricator General: You should just replace your lungs with respirators 🎶
Kitten: Oh emperor, how did I get roped into this? (ANGRY CAT NOISES)
With chaos and tyranids running ever more rampant I believe that the imperium may need to swallow its pride. It isn’t a sign of weakness to forge alliances with others. I believe an imperium/eldar alliance could be a force to be reckoned with and with the blue man at the helm idk man but I have this feeling it may be a possibility, and this is coming from a loyalist. Shout out to the giant, tiberos the red wake.
Guilliman is doing good by making a truce with the Eldar cause if the races do not work together the Chaos and Tyranid will destroy them all and then the Orcs needs to be dealt later
Guilliman had a point, it was the Eldar who awoke him from stasis. So his blasting of the High Lord's eardrums was completely reasonable.
So did the Commodore of the Navy. I hate agreeing with the High Lords, but the Eldar have proven time and time again that they aren't trustworthy, even after the Aeldari/Drukhari split.
@@ULTIMATZEKROM Unfortunately, dealing with 1 group of Eldar does not mean you're talking with all the Eldar.
Eldar of craft world A might be friendly to you
Eldar of craft world B might be assholes attacking your ships on the other side of the galaxy.
@@bubusbus1 Yeah, the Imperium could probably get an alliance with the Craftworld Ulthwe (Guilliman think that Eldrad is the only Eldar in the universe to be trusted ^^).
But with Biel-Tan? Not a chance XD
@@krankarvolund7771eh Illayandan?
@@ULTIMATZEKROM Depends. We have bunch of craftworlds - every one independent from each other. Also let's be honest - regular ass human have hard time telling Eldars and Dark Eldars apart.
Which is kinda silly, since one group is arrogant as fuck, although will kill you calmly, other is also arrogant as fuck but if they kill you, you'll be grateful to whatever god you believe in that it happened instead of them taking you for a trip to Camorragh. Also Dark Eldars probably cackle a lot.
Guilliman is really trying to do reasonable diplomacy which he was always built for but waa forbidden in old times from negotiating with aliens. What he could have accomplished had the Imperium sought alien allies in the Great Crusade.
If it wasn't for his Eldar wife, he wouldn't be there 😂😂😂😂
The Lion when he sees Guilliman hanging out with Eldar: Ew, brother ew. What is this brother
I like that Guilliman truly appreciates all the help he can get, even from the xenos factions of 40k...
Blue boy introduces his work friends to his GFs family and it doesn’t go well
Even I was silent with Guilliman's shout
Imagine if Guilliman is hot headed, those high lords would be "peacefully removed from their position" this includes firing squads or being burned by melta cannons 😅
Personally that's what Vulkan should've done yet didn't.
I like the conversations between Guilliman and Illiyan. Specially in the books written my guy Haley
Guilliman: Shut your goofy ahhes up! I do a lot of dumb stuff myself. You will not be the reason for another argument between me and Yvraine
High lords: "Xeno, Witch, (INSERT SLUR)!!"
Guiliman: "MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS IN THE IMPERIUM, THE ELDAR SAVED MY LIFE!!! So stfu and hear. him. OUT."
Not sure when in the timeline this is but more importantly has word reached the imperium proper that the Lion has awoken and returned? It would be nice to hear what the leaders of the imperium think but also hear what The Avenging Son thinks as well.
The Eldar and Mankind have to team up, our fates are intertwined and we need all the allies we can get (plus I want Robute X Yvraine to be canon so bad literally would be the coolest power couple in fiction)
In the grim dark of 40k can’t we have one moment of happiness. G-man needs to blow off a little steam, so let him have this.
I’m an Eldar fan, honestly, I see this as the one way GW will let us be cool again. So I’d fucken’ take it.
Every other hard hitting fantasy setting makes power couples work, come on gw do it
@@ambion19 Star Wars had that before Disney . . . man . . . I just made myself miss the Mara Jade and Luke Skywalker romance. And Ferus Olin and his husband . . . and Revan and Bastila . . . fuck you Mickey. Anyway, even Warhammer Fantasy had some serious power couples like: Tyrion and Alarielle, Teclis and any human he came across, Karl Franz and his warhammer, Vlad and Isabella von Karstein (aka "somehow the healthiest relationship in Warhammer"), Gottrek and Grungni, Felix and that one Tomb Queen who wanted to jump his bones, Malekith and Mora-
For legal reasons my lawyer has advised that I don't finish that sentence.
Roboute: Friendship is magic
High Lords: Magic is heresy!
I agree that they need to hear the Eldar emissary out first but the navy officer did raise a good point, they'll require a truce between the Imperium and the Eldar before things progress
Guilliman was like a dad telling his unruly kids off then
*"YALL ARE EMBARASSING ME IN FRONT OF MY GF'S FRIENDS! so STFU!"*
I can imagine Valoris sharing a look of pity at Guilliman in the high lord meetings.
God people are dumb by that logic the Eldear could bring up Chaos Cultists or Chaos Primarchs too and Space Marines there’s good and bad people to every faction
I will NOT accept Abelard slander
You know, if Gulliman could, I wonder what he would say to Sanguinious. Just from the end of the Heresy. Man, do I imagine he has regrets.
Bro had to stand up for his xeno inlaw 😂
Demons Run when the blueberry goes to war
It's wild to think that must of the imperium looks at all other xenos as a monolith when the imperium itself literally split in two
That's the essence of bigotry
In the fist edition this eldar name was the chief librarian of the ultramarines, and he was half eldar. This is a great attencion to detail.
Guilliman is that No nonsense maths teacher from Highschool lol
I imagine that when he was "forcing himself to kneel" is not because of shame but awkward because he did not really know how in a way.
@@Soundwave142Eldar generally move differently to humans, a kneel is probably just a clumsy and awkward pose to them, but he adopted it because it’s a sign of respect that the humans would understand.
I love what a deep cut Illiyanne Natasé is.
Along with his crew: Byornon Borgo, Johnnan Makainro, Peetee Samprase, Andras Agasee, Rogiero Federerh, Rafiel Natal, Novakon Djokovitchin.
🎉 I like the way you spell
“Silence!”, Guilliman said calmly.
When i heard 𝙎𝙄𝙇𝙀𝙉𝘾𝙀, i immediately thought of Jeremy iron's role in kingdom of heaven
An eldar trying to bow to a group humans? That is a very rare and unique moment. Guilliman was right to pursue an alliance with the Eldar. The Imperium is full of enemies on every front, so is the situation of the Eldar. An alliance is the most logical thing.
consider what you're about to do Roboute Gullima-
SILENCE!
Careful now high lords... without His CPM, yall aint gonna last long
The Emperor seeing this: Finally, one of you at least gets "fuck the Xeno's"
And to this day the High Lord's in the room still their ears ringing
I wonder how strong the imperium would be if they actually legitimately teamed up with the eldar
Nothing better than Warhammer lore knowledge before sleep
Guilliman really said, "Do *NOT* insult my son-in-law!"
So this confirms that the Eldar helped revive Gulliman. Glad to see this info.
Dude this was confirmed at the start of 8th edition in 2017.
I would imagine Guilliman's shout would have made lesser men faint and total blackout
They forgot they were in the room of the final boss of bureaucracy
imagine the higher lords saying stuff like "the emperor's will point the way" and Guilliman says"I'm pointing the way!" XD
The high lords also treated the mechanicum with disdain (post heresy) until they marched a fracking titan up to the chamber and reminded them why their alliance was needed for survival.
That commodore isn't entirely wrong, though he may just have interrupted before hearing news that he didn't already know
Oh Guilliman. I’m sure the high lords will never forget that the Eldar are the reason you came back and ruined all their fun.
Bro clapped yvraine's cheeks and immediately sympathized with the Aeldari
"Paul Atreides moment"
I fucking love the way how you described it.
Folks talking aboit guilliman, but no one talking about the representative of the eldar getting down on a knee to show respect to someone who isnt of their own kind. Especially since how so far up their space elf butt that they are, it showed humility to kneel before someone they once considered beneath them, and guilliman likewise being courteous is truly wonderful, but guilliman being a peak statesman, hes forte was always about diplomacy
Big humie: WAAAAAAGH
Humies: ok boss
Yet another stark reminder that, as high as one might be among the High Lords of Terra, you are still naught but a mewling speck before a Primarch.
Roboute Guilliman, Improving Human-Eldar Relations since M41! (Or as we call it, “Claiming Alien Territory in the Name of The Imperium” if you catch my drift)
