As someone who is a former Christian turned follower of the old ways and a lover of the old Gods, I can verify that there is so much more truth to everything Odin said than any sermon I heard from the day I was taken to church as a baby to the time I stopped going after finding out about the church's great lie. Not one thing that Odin said here cannot be verified online. Harsh words but full truth. ❤️

It isnt really a lie since Catholic doesn't really hide that fact (Caveat being they Christianized said figures and Festivals) and Old European Paganism being more or less under direct influence of Christian Faith in the modern age being that most of the recorded information regarding them are from Christian monks and are a direct reaction to it, Like its pretty interesting how Christianized cultures have their own version of Christianity overtaking the pagan gods . Honestly, they severely nerfed Jesus. If in American Gods, power comes from belief, then Jesus should be among the most powerful “gods”. Since most mainstream Christian denominations see Jesus as a God, they actually do pray to him for everything: good weather, bountiful harvests, healing, protection, truth, etc.

what Odin says here about Ostara is complete bullshit. There is exactly one first mention of her by some english monk and even he only speculated that she existed. Based on evidence, Jesus is the older deity even if Ostara actually existed. And even then, the egg painting thing came much later also.
