Would've loved to have seen all the love gods show up for party at the hotel - Tu'er Shen,Biliquis, Ishtar, Freyja, Aphrodite/Venus, Eros/Cupid and his wife Psyche with their daughter Hedone/Voluptas, Bes, Bastet, Oshun, Milda, all of them. Their blessings combined on for their guests......though the number of deities may take up at least half of the rooms.
Some inaccuracies with the story not withstanding (e.g. Hu Tianbao appeared in the dream of a villager not the inspector who murdered him), this is the most honest retelling of the story that I've seen in quite some time. A lot of people, including researchers and historians, have a tendency to sugar coat the topic of homosexuality in the Ming and Qing empires and tend to interpret the murder as "simply" a transgression against social status and that homosexuality was otherwise fine, when the story and what I know about the status of late Ming and early Qing society strongly suggest that said inspector was an adult, albeit young (for an inspector) man. Also the english translation has the author of the story describe the inspector as handsome, not "beautiful" and never likened him to a flower (except maybe when saying he is like the Jade cherry bay in Heaven), so suggests that the inspector didn't have an effeminate or feminine appearance (unlike most catamites, dan-actors and sing-song boys) but a masculine one, and from what I know, being sexually attracted to an adult male was usually not tolerated; at best ignored, if you are already pretty damn low on the social ladder and people don't give a shit about you in the first place. But a guard/soldier being attracted to an inspector, oh that transgresses more than one line of acceptibility: it transgesses against sex, gender and social status, at least.
He got a temple in Taiwan. It's one of the popular places of LGBT+ ppl here. The butterfly scene is probably related to his real name, 胡天寶(Hu Tien Bao), which got himself a nickname 蝴蝶寶(Hu Dié Bao), and 蝴蝶 means butterfly.
This story literally is the story of Gay Bombay... Back in 1999 and what gb still stands for today .... gb for literally a decade was the only place to have "Gay Parties" in mainstream spaces in any Metropolitan area between Tel Aviv (Isreal) to Bangkok (Thailand) openly.... That's one openly Gay space for a population of 2 billion people. (Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Mayanmar)
the most uninteresting, boring , cringe and unnecessary plot in the show. But those "minorities" who scream the loudest right now need things like these
Homossexuality and transgender is prevalent in mythology and ancient history. No "minority" screamed, they just naturally are apart of our history and our mythological tales. Your ignorance self is simply not capable of understanding it and chooses to remain hollow and prejudiced.
yeah, actually i like the evolution of salim but sometimes feel like the plot with the jinn´s lost was a little boring at times. But i think that tu er shen was a interesting character, they should include him a little bit more.
So many poor people with shriveled souls devoid of love needing validation... feeling the need to spread the hate of satan... Ur hearts will never be lighter than a feather...good luck in the next place
what a REVOLTING episode. seems like after knowing season 4 wont be they just went full on into gay propaganda. what a debacle for a show that started off as an interesting series
yes, homossexuality is prevalent in mythology and ancient history. It would only be natural for it to be represented on this show: Something your fragile ego is too scared to face.
@@saltlessbread Common.... nobody here is homophobic. People are tired of woke advertising, two different things. If they put a "Coming to america" of a god super-straight the woke media would demand more inclusivity. That is what people are tired, the condescendent speech not the lgbt community
This was one of the beautiful scenes of the entire series. The butterfly scene after that was the most beautiful I think.

Why someone hate love, no matter the origin of it?
Ignorance.
People with lower IQ always scream the loudest.
@@dannywang4543 And the ones scream the loudest determine how we run the community. Sad

Зачем тащить этот сблев в и без того уже почти уничтоженный сериал?
Why drag this shit into an already almost destroyed series?
Based Ivan
@@nikname1617 Yep. Funny.
Because americans still need to find identity through series like this...
Considering this show called American Gods, not Russian Gods or something like that, i think it's pretty relevant to "drag this shit" into the show
@@friedalien1351 lol yeah , poor Russian got offended
Good I didn't eat...I'd throw up else...
naww pathetic little snowflake :-(
I also felt like throwing up. But in my case it was because of your cometary!

To be fair they did a clever move. They shove it into your face, making it look like they dont.

The only revolting thing here is your homophobia.
Homosexuality is as old as time you don't have to be gay cos you saw this
Meh. For the gays... I’ll pass. By far the worst episode.
oh no 🥺😔
Guess how much worth can be the gay love in such a serial.
