I've got a scots pine bonsai grown from personally collected seed. What's weird is that trees in the forest, including small trees, have short needles, but my needles are just gigantic. Almost like pinus Armandii. Gets a lot of sun light, almost as much as possible.
I prefer organic fertilizer since it promotes a healthy microbial environment within the pot. Microbes are important for mycorrhizae (good fungus for conifers, helps trees with coarse root systems absorb nutrients) to thrive within the pot.
Wow! That was a great time lapse mate. The tree put out such a healthy second flush of growth
much appreciated and thank you for checking out the video again, in short format haha
Great job!👏👏👏
Amazing pine!
Hi love the vid, just subbed 💚

Thank for the video, just curious which climate zone are you working in?
Do you trim your needles?
I do not, I do some needle plucking to reduce energy but never trim the needles. They get smaller each year I decandle!
What fertilizer would you recommend for pines and junipers

As far as brand goes, I use Biogold, but any organic fertilizer will work. DR. Earth is a good one and easy to find
