I have combined 2 of my Japanese Black Pine Bonsai videos to give everyone 1 full video for 2 years worth of development. I hope this makes an easier viewing experience!

Wow! That was absolutely wonderful to watch. The cinematography, the tree and the journey - all fantastic. I don't think I've ever understood these methods for JBP until now.
Excellent job. This tree is going to be a show winner for sure. You've got a wonderfully artistic way. I'm in awe.

Very well filmed! Easily one of the best JPB videos I have seen. Also thankyou for using Season names as well. Many practitioners only use months and forget the southern hemisphere exists.

No problem! I added season names exactly for that reason! Thank you very much for your comment and watching my video! Please share to any of your bonsai friends!

I have a few hybrid trees in my collection. Black pine crossed with red pine. I'm sure there are others out there as well.

Great video mate, expertly filmed as well 👌. Haven’t touch pine bonsai myself yet as never been to sure on when/how to prune and everything to do with how the candles work. This video has been a great help with and a great example on how to develop these trees. Will have to start one myself to practice on. 🤣

Thank you for the nice videos. I only have a question. I see after candlecutting in winter to two cadles, there is only one candle emerging from the buds in spring. With my tree there are already 4 or 5 buds ready to burst in spring. Do you reduce these buds already to one with a pincet in winter or do I wait until summer to cut off all five? I hope you understand my question. Thank you in advance.

I enjoyed the video but I would have gotten a ton more out of it if you actually spoke or at least had some subtitles.
Without better explanation, it's just an aesthetically pleasing video with no real instructions.
    Why do you decandle?
What does it achieve? Why can't we decandle at other times?
Do all pines react this way to decandling?
Do you also pinch candles or just cut them completely off? What happens if you don't decandle? What is the best age to start decandling a JBP?
Do you remove all or just some of the candles, and how do you decide?
These are just some of the really important details people need to be successful with JBP. Just a thought.
