I’m so happy that you visited my kitchen today and I hope you have had a wonderful Christmas. In this video I’m taking you along with me as I prepare the dishes I’m taking to my in-laws for Christmas Eve, take care of some late night Christmas breakfast prep, and as we finish up with our big ole family Christmas morning feast. Oh. my gosh- my kids do the same thing with some of my decorations!! They are adults too and are so funny changing things!!
The Christmas morning dish is very much like one I make in western Canada. Except I use black forest ham, and before I put it in the oven in the morning, I crush up a cup of cornflakes, sprinkle them on top, and pour half a cup of melted butter on top. We call it Wifesaver up here in Canada.

I love all the decor you put out. I try to keep it pretty simple here too. This year was easy. I got so far behind that I didn't have enough time to do what I usually do. But in the rush if it all I realized that ni matter how big or small we do it up it still Christmas. It's all about Jesus and celebrating why he came. Not about the things we try to make it. I really learned a valuable lesson in all the chaos of things this year.

Thanks so much Angie, I love all our antiques that have been handed down, they are each so special. I love those chairs, they were from Patrick's mamaw's too. We had 4 but one needs some repairs, his aunt re-did the cane bottom on them all. They are definitely not sturdy every day use chairs LOL We are too hard on our dining room chairs.... And the towel came from a Cracker Barrel a year or so ago. And yes, our kids will never grow up LOL and I love it

If you want to take your Velveeta and Rotel dip up a notch...fry up and drain a pound of sausage. Add it in and YUM! I have also had it with hamburger...but sausage is much better!! That clock is stunning!
