Hey friends, this week I found myself standing in the kitchen on Monday night with NO concrete plan for dinner that night or any other night of the week. Does that ever happen to you? Always love your uploads and the community here. I need a favor please. Our son-in-law, a rancher and nurse, despite all precautions, is terribly ill with Covid and our grandson spiked such a high fever with Covid he had a seizure. Happened so fast. Of course, he and his little baby sister, who also had a temperature climbing, went to the hospital. Would you all please, please pray? At 82 my weekly plans and goals have been thrown out the window. Lucky to get a plan for the next couple of days. Monday and Friday volunteer at a food give away so those are the only two days I have a set goal. Doesn't God tell us to live one day at a time. LOL

Oh Mel I just have to share a family secret of mine with you- My whole family thinks it’s hilarious how long I’ve been addicted to marshmallow fluff! I never knew there were other brands but thank you girlfriend! They wouldn’t recognize that in my cabinet! I don’t cook so finding this recipe, well I’m elated! One of my normal supper ideas:
I line my sheet pans with tin foil then I take the great value thick cut bacon. If I am having company I roll it up the bacon & put a toothpick through it. Then I sprinkle it with brown sugar. If I'm not having company I lay it flat & sprinkle the bacon with brown sugar. Either way, I bake it at 450° until the bacon is done. To go with the bacon ,I go n one of two ways. Especially this time of year.
Option 1 is stewed Cabbage with potatoes, tomatoes & macoroni, peas, & cornbread.
Option two is butter potatoes, stewed squash & onions, green beans, & cornbread.
Either way, it goes amazing with the bacon.
Love whatever you post. Please keep me in prayer as I learn to travel the dementia or Alzheimer’s road with my husband of 44 years. Much happened today that was scary but I have Jesus, my kids and friends🙏🏻❤️

Regina I’m so sorry you and your husband are having to deal with that horrible disease. I moved my mom in with me when she told me one day she couldnt remember how to get home from the grocery store that was like 5 blocks from her house. I cared for her for 10 years before she passed away and it’s heartbreaking. I love her so much and I still have a hard time dealing with the fact she’s not with me any longer. Again I’m so sorry and I will add you and your family to my prayer list.

I have a very helpful hint for grilling sandwiches... lightly spread an even amount of butter on the bread instead of in the pan... just spray a little cooking spray in the pan to keep it from sticking!! It helps the bread not get soggy...

We use a jar of the marshmallow fluff at room temperature and equal cream cream cheese whipped together as a dip for strawberries. It is so good. I am sure that pie you made was delicious. Everything looked really good yum 😋
I'm not criticizing at all....I fight the baked-on crud on pans too. Sprinkle "Bar Keeper's Friend", a powdered cleanser usually stocked next to Ajax or Comet cleanser in the grocery store, on your muffin pan, let it sit 5 minutes or so, wipe off with the scrubby side of a sponge, and rinse. Makes your pans look like new with very little effort. Love your videos! My favorite part (aside from the common sense recipes) is your accent!
The bacon, barbecue grilled cheese looked delicious! I may try that for supper tonight for my husband. Love your videos!

I ordered a bunch of different ones online and had the strawberry and (one of) my Tropical Splash left. I was going to give one to my Dad and made the mistake of letting him pick the one he wanted. Take 1 cup of bisquick into pumpkin pie then pour it into a sprayed pie plate makes a great no crust pumpkin pie

Good afternoon everything looks good and those jams look really yummy. Have a Blessed week until next time. My reunion yesterday was a hit I made cowboy beans but I added bbq sauce to it, sauerkraut with kielbasa and Mac and cheese. Nothing left I took other things including hamburger patties that I prepared. Resting today

Lawd I’m going to try that BBQ grilled cheese sandwich! I like planning a few meals each week and I keep a list on my phone. The other days of the week we eat leftovers, salads or sandwiches. Weekends my beau grills so it’s a nice break for me.
