I'm not sure why Amber is reaching out to 'other women' in this trial loss. From what I see most women can see exactly what the jury saw. Sadly Amber needs to massive dose of reality and say sorry to Mr Depp.
She should look at the trail on utube... watch herself lie, lie and lie. Watch it as a third person and then realize what did I do....
Too true..she is completely deluded .. to see and hear her arrogant answers to quite obvious questions which opened her up as lying was amazing.. she is totally convinced by her own act that she can lie her way out of anything, she has proven that any admittance of even a mistake in her testimony was not going to happen.. so much so that when challenged by johnnys lawyer she resorted to 'cant remember' 'thats what they testified' basically saying that all those who testified for johnny were 'in on it'.. she is the prime example of a spoilt brat who has got away with things all her life,, reality has now hit.. I just hope that the system or money wont allow her to challenge the result.. shes a horrible person through and through.. should stick to man hating lesbians..
There are always ideologically inclined women who don't care for the reality or don't accept the idea that men can be victims.

We have already seen articles in Guardian and other left leaning progressive sites, claiming that she was wronged.

The verdict is not a setback. The verdict is in favour of a survivor of DV. It's a huge step forward. The only reason certain people are upset that it's in favor of a man. Still in our society we have the mindset men cannot be victim of DV because men are physically stronger so it's mostly such incidents goes unreported or not widely believed. Those people who are upset at the verdict open misandrist and prejudiced and refuses to believe women too can be perpetrator of DV.

I lost any sympathy I had for Elaine. In a case where you want the juror to believe your story over someone else's the worst thing you could do is lie, which Amber did multiple times (almost out of habit it seemed). She sank her own case

Could you all imagine the absolute out rage if this case wasn’t televised, Johnny won and Amber and her “lawyers” came out saying what they have been saying. Its a good thing Johnny made it public because at least we all saw what went down in the court room.

I'm gonna be honest, if Elaine didn't go and continue to spew lies after the trial, I'd actually have a bit of pity for her, considering she was basically told by Amber to win a case where 85% to 95% of the evidence is amber's own words, things taken out of context, and lies, so many lies. But alas, she either truly believes some of the worst evidence ever presented in a court case to date, or doesn't know when to quit. Either way she's made a fool of herself, and her career.

Anyone with the absolute show stopper moments where Amber was caught out plain and simple for lying knows this isn't a reliable source of information. To believe "pledge and donate" are the same words and mean the same shows a gross misunderstanding of the English language. Also anyone watching for 30 seconds and sees her only look at the jury when answering questions asked by a person straight in front of you immediately call this acting. If you're on the stand, and under oath, and acting....it's not a good look. Yet her lawyers were fine with it!?!?!

From watching Elaine I can only say she was I’ll-prepared, never had her notes in order, and totally appeared incompetent. And from the 'mountains of evidence' (in the words of Elaine, AH's lawyer) provided, it shows that AH is the abuser and a liar. We all saw it. Both sides have been given the opportunity to show their evidences and AH team failed to substantiate their allegations. Case close.
I agree. I support the MeToo movement, and I think Amber is just trying to us it as leverage. I still don't know if Johnny is as innocent as people are making him out to be, but Amber's lies were obvious and simply could not be ignored.

However, it sounds like alot of this was largely reactionary to what she did to him, which makes his own actions during this time pretty much insignificant in comparison.
That, and he admitted to the whole drink and drugs thing pretty clearly right at the start. It's honestly quite admirable to see someone owning up to their own faults without deflection or excuses, which is more than I can say for little miss 'everyone's a liar but me.'
The setback is when Amber got on national television with all her lies and her attorney condone everything after they found her guilty.
The setback was that this was ALLOWED to be televised. Is the same going to happen to Evan Rachel Woods defamation trial? Marilyn Manson superfans making memes out of her story of trauma etc? Or whoever the next person is who makes claims against a powerful person? More than likely no one will say anything any more.

AH DOES NOT speak for ALL women who have suffered, I can't call myself an SA survivor yet because I'm still going through it. I'm taking it day by day what had happened to me. I question myself daily. I'm still going through threapy weekly, this case. Watching this case has helped take my mind off so much these past weeks. Watching and listening to some of the things AH has said and the things she has done. Exasperates me, I can see so much of myself in johnny. The way he talks, the nervous smile, I'm that way after being hurt. The media crucified him for being "weird" or not "staring at AH ENOUGH" in court. That's wrong, I can tell you if anything, I can't look my abuser in the face, when they speak my stomach gets sore. I stay away. I've tried to block them out. Amber Heard is the biggest setback to women and DV survivors. Verdicts don't make it hard to believe victims, liars do.
This trial was fraught with so many complications throughout but at the same time, several red flags went up on the AH side like donation/pledge being the same thing but hitting/punching not being the same, the single picture in two versions of colors claimed to be two different ones, her obviously sudden changes of emotions on stand, her lying all the time, not accepting a single accountability for anything that had happened between the two, etc etc. Guess those were what made it easier for the jurors to arrive at their conclusions.

Elaine’s credibility as an attorney was lost yesterday when she went on a media blitz and misrepresented the law and continued to lie on Amber’s behalf.
The judge was fair, balanced and gave Elaine a lot of latitude given her poor performance. For Elaine to then say evidence was not allowed shows disrespect to the court. Elaine failed to mention the stonewalling by her team, missed deadlines and most of all the evidence was not admissible because it was hearsay.

I find Amber's statement to be a huge insult to the jury. She states that she is sad that the "mountain of evidence" was not enough to overcome Johnny's power. That's basically claiming the the jury decision was based on who is the bigger and most popular star, rather than all the testimony they sat through, all the witnesses they heard and all the evidence they reviewed over multiple weeks. Elaine is doing damage control. I'm sure with how sneaky her lawyers were during the trial now that they are out they will pull out all the stops to try and get her appeal approved. Probably will go after the jury..its so pathetic. She was given a more than fair trial with a patient af judge and a jury that gave weeks of their lives for this. BUT if there was such an acceptable mountain of evidence as claimed, and as she ASSERTS that she represents unfortunate domestic violence women worldwide- the question is: WHY did she NOT report to the POLICE and make the POLICE investigate, charge and prosecute the accused? This would be an IDEAL setting of an EXAMPLE that she is asserting! Getting caught up in civil law suits with minimal thoughtful articles is NOT the practice to represent the real sufferers of domestic violence. One thing that doesn’t make sense is they had a private physician and she never sought any kind of medical help. Even after the alleged bottle incident. I find that completely unbelievable. It was her case to lose meaning the burden of proof was on JD and they still failed. I think the jury got it right.

Argue from a legal standpoint. Going into the trial Amber actually had the stronger legal case. Defamation of a public figure is very hard to prove, but the evidence provided by Depp was soo compelling that the jury awarded it to him on all three counts.

I doubt he cares, he aired his side of the story and made his point. The whole point of the televised trial was his way of speaking out and restoring his reputation. Sure he incurred collateral damage but he is no longer regarded as a wife beater by the majority. Amber and Elaine are just embarrassing themselves at this point. If I were JD I'd ignore them as much as possible and only call on my posse of outstanding lawyers if it becomes necessary to do so.

UK trial is Johnny vs The Sun, not Amber, the requirements are different. Also in Virginia trial this time Johnny successfully proved Amber did not fully donate $7M (UK court assumed she did), plus many other lies of Amber which is why she lost, period.
