another thing, carriers make mining with ships with poor jump range far more viable, i've heard from numerous people that corvette makes a great mining ship with carriers nearby, and i love the clipper for core mining. and sure, you won't make max by not selling at the best station, for a single trip, but if you want to devote the entire day to mining, you can offload multiple rounds of material far more then you could if the stations with the best prices are over 100ly away
Problem is, the trade routes are absolutely saturated with fleet carriers already, and the stations have single digit supplies. idk how do compete with the sheer number of people doing exactly this
Any time I run any kind of cargo i end up getting ganked by a stupid npc. And in a huge cargo ship that doesn't maneuver well it gets very frustrating. Any tips on how to make this go easier?
If it’s a t9 it’s definitely a risk but with a Python you do have a little bit more maneuverability vs the interdiction. Personally if I am running a multi-jump cargo run with my T9 then I bring on shields with chaff and heat sinks. I watch the coms tab when I jump in a system and if a pirate npc messages me then I hit the jump button as soon as it’s ready and pop a heat sink if I’m close to the Star. For supercruising to the station then I hope for the best and for the most part I defeat the interdiction. But when I don’t my shields hold out while I low wake out again.
If you manage to get a Cutter, you'll easily win interdictions and even if not, you'll have plenty of shields and speed to escape afterwards. I've never had a problem against NPC's.
Hello Ghost Giraffe. I hope to be read by you here too. I don't know if you noticed, but one of the community members, CmdPlater, lost his battle with cancer. I'm not an organizer and I don't have a reach... but Joe deserves to be honored for a moment in Elite. I hope something can be done to give him the moment he deserves. I send almost the same text to other Elite community. I sincerely hope that one of you can contribute something.
Every time I land on a FC there is nothing to purchase - except for ONE which had mining tools. Are you telling me you just go land on FC and don't run into this issue?
Hey Mars Yurip, thanks for the tutorial, you make things easier for us all! Not sure if it still works though as I loaded up my new Carrier with Agronomic Treatment at 2300/tonne, then jumped to a system to sell it at 31000/tonne. Sold one T9 worth of cargo and the price dropped to 13500/tonne. Tried three more systems, same thing happened. Wonder if FDev have messed with the 0 demand settings... Still making money, but not the fortune I was dreaming of ☹️
I have denied permission to land on every carrier I have tried to land on. I don't think to many carrier owners are setting their permissions so anyone can land on them.
That's all well and good, but as long as there is no ship with a minimum 1000t cargo capacity (Imperial Cutter has the largest cargo hold of all ships with a maximum of 794t), it takes FOREVER to load 20000t onto an FC and then unload it at the destination. Especially when the stations are far away from the FC and/or in the vicinity of large planets (Keyword gravitation). thumbs down!
great! but after watching this i still dont understand how to make money with other peoples carriers (a less funny and more detail explaination would be appreciated), especially in legacy mode on console, where it seems all fleet carriers are dead
"Use an escape pod"
People without Odyssey left the chat
The all around, most entertaining and informative Elite Dangerous content popping ! It's akin to dangerous Giraffes from Mars or something.

Great point
2:36 wait whaaaaaaaat
I've had a carrier for almost two years and haven't noticed the escape pods
Then you'll not know about the 'secret' room on the second floor in the rear, left side facing the rear, next to the table with the plant and cup ;)
Good video, and great tip on using two cargo ships at once.
Brilliant! If my brain were bigger, I would have thought of the 2 ship method :/
Informative, entertaining, simply great!
(By the way mars, did you get the stream kit working?)
I did but it didn’t do what I was hoping. Thanks though.
this was the most entertaining trade video i ever watched ;)
Mission accomplished
Note: A fleet Carrier that's not yours will also not be open for you most of the time.
Why is it by the way?
If people are doing the method where they are letting people sell for them then it's gona be open no?
90% of carriers you see are open
Inara only lists open carriers.
Almost never true. Very few players have their carriers restricted.
Cancri Clan Dredger currently selling in Sharru Sector FW-W c1-19

I mostly just stalk the pilot's trade network carriers. I've made a decent amount doing that.
> Two Ship Method
Well, if you fund me Odyssey...
;-;
(Horizons Gang hands up)

o7 Ghost Giraffe. That escape pod trick is pure genius.
Man, I wish Inara hadn’t done its total makeover.
ive been wondering if you can do this with transport missions too lmao
this is great, i hope frontier doesnt nerf it
So you're the one that jinxed it
@@CryptoTonight9393 They nerfed it ?
But how can you do that on Xbox without Odyssey?
Can you pilot the carrier now? I thought it was basically a space station.
Sadly not
You can sit in the Captain's chair as it jumps through hyperspace
Edit: only in Odyssey dlc
This doesnt work that great. When you enter a system with your carrier the price of the commodity is dropped
And for console players?
How it works? I didn't understand
I have denied permission to land on every carrier I have tried to land on. I don't think to many carrier owners are setting their permissions so anyone can land on them.
1st love ur videos mars
Always happy to hear that
But you need to have Odyssey first, unfortunately I play on Xbox…
How did you get all those impossible shots. Like more than 4 CMDRs on the carrier command deck or the guy walking on the rolling ball thing?
what on earth is happening at the end ?
“Dancing”?
Who knows. That happened in space.
Cool it Einstein!
Money! 🦀
Numbers make my eyes sad :(
Note: I'm in console (I hate frontier)

uhhh, what game is this?
Elite dangerous
I hope that rent cost for carriers will go up by 100x so we can finally get rid of those ugly ass ships.
this srly Helped my Out alot men! i just bought myself a Nautilus-class. Thank Ýou!
Glad to hear!
Best way to make credits, don't buy the elephant of a fleet carrier.
nerfed
Ps5
Now if you can teach me how to like this video more than once, that would be much appreciated? o7
