HOW TO MIRROR FINISH A BAR
I start with an 80 grit flap disc on my angle grinder then I use my drill with 50 mm round sanding discs . I start with 150 grit then go through the following Grits 240-400-800 Then once I get to the following Grits I use a small squirt of WD-40 1200-1500-2000-2500-3000. The WD40 helps to lubricate the discs and stops the sanding disk binding up with the metal powder . Then after that I use my buffer wheel on my bench grinder to get a perfect mirrored finish on it.

Everyone loves a good Copper pour and today is no exception. A beautiful pour for a beautiful bar to add to the stack. Sit back enjoy and I’ll see all you sensational subs next Friday👋🏻😁
🥰💓💓🥰
Hi, I recently watched you, but sometimes your videos are sticky, so thanks for the content.
I'd love to see you do a Speculum bronze bar. It is what Newton used to make his reflecting telescope. Formula is simple: 2:1 copper to tin. It is super brittle though.
Do you know the total length of cable that you used?
@@jasonloukx1653 Do you mean all the strands end to end?
I swear, a big chunk of the fun of these videos is the eternal question, "where did he stash his snack today"
I love how you hide food in strange places as if its natural. Plus your puppies are sooo cute.
well for me hiding food in strage places is something I usually do... well for snacks that is (normal average world snack)
Right, love the lil hiddie spots, like pizza in the "trashcan"
I think this is to keep the bugs away
Always makes me laugh when he reveals the hiding spot of his snacks.
As I was gonna say that lol that’s probably my fav part is the food
While seeing you make magic with the melting and such, it's your sense of humor and way of going about things that keeps me coming back each week. Thanks for uploading!
So much work stripping all that wire. Beautiful end result.
That moment when you opened the fridge and there was no beer in sight. My thoughts were 'we have a problem'
I thought the same thing lol! I was like "Uh oh! Where's the Corona?"
My thought was "he's gunna panic, go into the house fridge and find it comically FULL of nothing but beer"
I was mistaken
I thought he had another hidden outdoor fridge he was going to open and find it there. You know, the outdoor party fridge.
STILL NO BEER SPONSOR! WTF?????
For a moment I thought we were going to see telemetry flashing on the screen as his operating system crashed.
"No...no beer? What?"
Finally i have built my first furnace with help of simplest tools available in my country Yemen. After some tries i got it finally and melt some Aluminium and copper. However Forge burner was bit tricky but i got it 😅
This channel have always inspired me and pushed me forward to accomplish my goal. Thanks A million . Your videos not only for entertainment and satisfaction but it teach you things in different ways.
👍🏾 🇺🇸 🍻
always loving the content and kudos for helping growing stack out with advice and such!!! you making a difference with a lot of people. much love and respect too you and yours!
I love this channel. The humor is amazing and the pours are so relaxing and the dogs are so cute...
Just... Chef kiss

This comment right here is gorgeous
I LOVE watching copper ingots in the ice. It starts losing its outer greyish color and you see the copper shining through. It's so cool. Also watching you sand off the rest of the grey after it's cooled is SO satisfying to me. :D

The sound of tha cable being strip is so satisfying. My favorite melts by far! No slug, no messing arround just pure metal melting.
Absolutely love your casting content man, keep up the amazing work! (also loved the cheeky dan murphy's run too hehe)
Finally in within 10 minutes after the upload. This is promising something good 👌🏻
Come on beer company's this man needs a sponsor! What an advertising campaign this could be !!!

So much to love about bigstackD Casting videos! Impressive skills and technique, the visuals and connect-ability, work ethic and consistency, all gift-wrapped nicely in a weekly video with your growing pile as a big bow on top. What a shiny beacon of industriousness. Well done!
Heel leuk! That is a beautiful ingot, a very welcome addition to your stack. Love the way you just polished and marked that one side that can be seen: awesome design decision!
Yes! And I just finished the whole series!
Such a reward, a new video!
I was just binging melt videos and a new one popped up, good start to the day!
Now THAT is a melt
This one is going into my favorites.
I really enjoy watching your videos every Friday, when I come home there is a new video for me to watch Keep up the good work :)
Cheers my friend 👊🏻😁
Quality pup content today. Love to see it
1:45 that Holden UTE sounds sooo good.
Oh yeah! I'm grateful that you upload these videos on fridays, they days in which we need to relax the most. Cheers my fella!
Another excellent video! I absolutely loved the extra skits in this week's episode. The boys are so adorable.
Still my favorite channel on RUclips by far. Nobody does it like the king of casting!
Another relaxing morning before work watching MELTIN' drinking coffee.Today my 4 year old son watched it with me with his chocolate milk and he basically didn't say a word for 18min. Jaw dropped and wide eyed, he put together the science of the hot copper melting the ice into water. I look forward to your video all week bro, great great work.
Hilarious, not a word for 18 mins, thanks Mike, I'd have done the same but for my babes (now 25 & 31) we only had the Teletubbies and Along the Riverbank with Johnny Morris.
Been trawling through the comments looking for people who are blown away by the size of the store. A whole supermarket with nothing but booze!! An appropriate BigStoreB for BigStackD. Your content is always so cool, creative and a ton of fun.
I'm always impressed when melting copper, at the swirling eddies in the crucible, like it's alive. Something I don't see with other metals.
Those cables were the longest tease ever. Present for dozens uploads without them ever being shifted from there spot under the cars.

Am I the only one who wants a secondary Chanel of your dogs?
Love your videos man, thank you in these hard times!
Dude, I get excited when I see a new bigstackD video uploaded. Keep it up!
G’day Cobber 😂
This is my first ‘new’ BigStackD video since subscribing a few days ago. I am really pleased the RUclips algorithm brought me here, as your channel is bloody fantastic. I especially love the dogs, Ingot and Bullion. They’re definitely living their best life there with you.
Keep up the good work. I’ll be continuing to binge watch the rest of your videos as time allows.
Much love from 🇬🇧
Welcome to the club
Honestly this community is one of the nicest I've ever seen anywhere on the internet, and the man himself is lovely too.
You'll have a good time here
Welcome to the club! You won't be disappointed!! 😊
So you're how we got 1.1 million subs🤣 awsome! Welcome aboard!

Been watching your videos for a while now and it makes me happy to notice few things.
First: love the melting and dedication to your work.
Second: You don't talk nor show your face and you live apparently Australia. BUT all your little silent things make me feel that i've known you for years.
(ofc i don't but it they just feel so familiar.)
Do not change how you do things.
With Love. Finland!
Enjoyed every minute. From cable stripping, K9 hygiene, to the final polish. Loved it. Thanks
Thanks again! I agree! Those pour lines are a thing of Beauty!
This was another awesome video. The casting turned out great. I have a request for a future melt/casting. If it is possible, can you make a bowl, a cooking pot, or a frying pan out of aluminum or copper? Cheers! 👍👍✌️
A coffee mug. You'd have to coat the surface with laquer or acrylic, since coffee is acidic, but still a useful utensil.
OUT OF BEER!!!! As Anikin would say: "NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!"
Dude, you are seriously starting to make me want pizza and burgers for breakfast! Also, please pass on some pets from me from Texas to your pups.
I love the finish you put on that bar, man. Just beautiful.
Not just the bottles, but the cans and the glasses too!
That pour is so beautiful and watching the metal freeze is so cool!
There lack of slag was very satisfying. Thanks for making this. I've been wondering about those cables on your floor ever since I subbed.
Watching that one melt through the ICE was so awesome
Good morning here from 🇧🇷, what beautiful adorable best friends the author has along side his number one hobby. Congratulations
The 1st one that I saw that made it to the bottom of the ice. Cheers Bro. I love your vids. I also look forward to seeing them each week.
That was beautiful. Gorgeous vid, from beginning to end. The color's looked great. The copper was tops.
When you reach your target goal do you plan on selling it all and starting again? Or will you make a new goal? I love the videos btw it’s so relaxing
Молодец!👍👍👍
Thanks to @bigstackd I know own the same devil forge and have a dirty little stripper of my own 🤣. I came across this channel by accident and I have thoroughly enjoyed the content and it has inspired me to do more with my scrap etc, I have been stripping 3 washing machine motors down this even and have a nice tray of copper and aluminium ready to melt at the weekend. Really glad I purchased the devil forge and all the extras because it’s a big passion of mine now. Keep the content coming @bigstackd great work mate 👍🏻👌
That was awesome!! Can't wait to get a forge and etc. I love how you are physically turning metals into Lava! lol. So cool!!
Можно смотреть бесконечно на три вещи: как горит огонь, как течет вода и как работает кто-то другой)))

Another classic video. I love it when you get out of the house. Next time it would be great to see the stamping process in real time.

I'd say that was the best of yours yet.
Good job!
Really glad I found this channel, it gave me a new hobby. I’m just waiting on my Devil-Forge to arrive soon. Thanks for being the highlight of every Friday morning for me.
You won't regret your new hobby I promise...been at it about 8 months now once people know your doing it you get all kinds of interesting stuff to melt
Be careful dude. I took up casting as well and always make sure to have a respirator. Molten metals give off bad gases, especially brass!
@@michaeldionne4732 🍻 good man.
1:44 That Ute was hauling! Another great vid too! Love seeing molten copper
Glad someone pointed it out lol
I couldnt quite tell what it was
Hands down one of my fav pours! Just look at that perfect bar!
Thank you so much, copper cable melting was the first video of yours I ever watched!
Just brilliant work 👏🏻👏🏻
Well done bud! You have the eye of the tiger for the videos and the passion for melting.
Excellent pour and awesome quench indeed a classic for the stack and your channel
I love the ASMR of the melting but the added content of the pups makes this a feel-good staple
That was the best ice melting ever done in this channel. So satisfying.
I absolutely adore your videos .Thank you so much. Very educational 👍🏻🕊
I'm a first time viewer, Vid Vulture sent me over your way to watch your process! Really enjoyed your video, I'll be back!!✌
There's something calming and entertaining about you dismantling and repurposing all this metal. I think I like watching you melt down all this metal and smelt it into new stuff, because I don't have the ability to do so where I live. It would just be a major fire hazard. Perhaps I like seeing bars of metal being polished, from material otherwise junk. But I find the dogs adorable in your video as well.
Had to stop the video to mention that it always cracks me up when you pull some food item out of your "old stock". It always takes me by surprise. Thanks for what you do! - Don
Thanks for the video BigStackd. Have a nice weekend!
Beautiful copper bar. Bullion looked like he was really enjoying the bath. Thank you for sharing. Cheers 🍻
You let nothing go to waste...even the dust. So cool.
I'm addicted to this channel now!!! BTW love the chain bracelet.
That mold was just big enough for the copper. Awesome!
Would you ever consider doing a podcast on smelting &/or your dogs?
Man that was like the perfect pour, well done 👍
I love those dogs and watching these vids is very relaxing. Keep up the great work, sir!
great job big just love the copper melts stay safe and hope your fam is well see ya next week cheers Mate

Great video as always!!
I greatly appreciate how you included the quick Fahrenheit conversation on your ambient temp display. Us Americans are often confused by this "Celsius" thing...
Wow! Nice melt, I really like the end stamping! Good Job! Oh, and the Pups rocked the shower scene :)
I love the two good boys and watching the ice melt 👍🏻
big beefy beautiful copper ingot and about time you get at those coils on the garage floor, LOL. thanks for the trip to the liquor store too that was great.
I love how watery it is. It looks like watery orange juice. So neat!!!
Tank you for adding BGN cheers mate. Keep the great work.
Very cool,Love the cre8ive ice melting being driven by heat and gravity 👌 spot on.
Whoa! I think that's the first time an ingot of any metal has made it all the way to the bottom of one of those bigger ice-blocks, bigstackD! Impressive block o' copper!
Excellent copper work!
