Instructions: Preheat oven to 350º F. Prepare two 9-inch cake pans; spraying with baking spray or buttering and lightly flouring. For the chocolate cake: Add flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, salt and espresso powder to a large bowl. Mix until well blended. Add milk, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla to flour mixture and mix together. Add the boiling water to the cake batter until well combined. Keep mixing. Distribute cake batter evenly between the two prepared cake pans. Bake for 30-35 minutes, until a toothpick or cake tester inserted in the center of the chocolate cake comes out clean. Remove from the oven and allow to cool for about 15 minutes, remove from the pan and cool completely. Chocolate Buttercream Frosting Recipe:
Ingredients: 1½ cups butter (3 sticks), softened. 1 cup unsweetened cocoa. 5 cups confectioner’s sugar, sifted. ½ cup milk. 2 teaspoons vanilla extract. ½ teaspoon espresso powder (optional) Instructions: Add cocoa to a bowl. Whisk through to remove any lumps. Mix together butter and cocoa powder until well-combined. Add sugar and milk to cocoa mixture by adding 1 cup of sugar followed by about a tablespoon of milk. After each addition has been combined, mix until smooth. Repeat until all sugar and milk have been added. Add vanilla extract, espresso powder, and mix. If frosting appears too dry add more milk- a tablespoon at a time until it reaches the consistency desired. If it appears too wet and does not hold its form add more confectioner’s sugar- a tablespoon at a time until it reaches the right consistency.

She grew up in a time of war and hardship and even at that age she understood the inportance of being a symbol. That woman joined the Forces and learned how to fix Jeeps during the War, something she had to persuade her father to let her do. She had to figire out how to keep.the monarchy viable in a time where there really is no role for monarchy, and she did it by making it about service to the realm. She was very politically smart and informed. She considered royals to be royal. To her, the king of Swaziland, for example, was on the same footing as her, despite the racism of those around her saying otherwise. She was directly involved of some of the most important things that happened in the 20th century. She symbolizes so much. It's the end of an era.

Here is a chocolate cake recipe.
Serves: 12 (this is here for those weird people who actually share cake)
Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour, sifted.
2 cups sugar, sifted.
¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder.
2 teaspoons baking powder.
1½ teaspoons baking soda.
1 teaspoon salt.
1 teaspoon espresso powder (optional)
1 cup milk, buttermilk, almond, or coconut milk.
½ cup vegetable, canola oil, or melted coconut oil.
2 large eggs.
2 teaspoons vanilla extract.
1 cup boiling water.
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350º F. Prepare two 9-inch cake pans; spraying with baking spray or buttering and lightly flouring.
For the chocolate cake:
Add flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, salt and espresso powder to a large bowl. Mix until well blended.
Add milk, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla to flour mixture and mix together. Add the boiling water to the cake batter until well combined. Keep mixing.
Distribute cake batter evenly between the two prepared cake pans. Bake for 30-35 minutes, until a toothpick or cake tester inserted in the center of the chocolate cake comes out clean.
Remove from the oven and allow to cool for about 15 minutes, remove from the pan and cool completely.
Chocolate Buttercream Frosting Recipe:
Ingredients:
1½ cups butter (3 sticks), softened.
1 cup unsweetened cocoa.
5 cups confectioner’s sugar, sifted.
½ cup milk.
2 teaspoons vanilla extract.
½ teaspoon espresso powder (optional)
Instructions:
Add cocoa to a bowl. Whisk through to remove any lumps.
Mix together butter and cocoa powder until well-combined.
Add sugar and milk to cocoa mixture by adding 1 cup of sugar followed by about a tablespoon of milk. After each addition has been combined, mix until smooth.
Repeat until all sugar and milk have been added. Add vanilla extract, espresso powder, and mix.
If frosting appears too dry add more milk- a tablespoon at a time until it reaches the consistency desired. If it appears too wet and does not hold its form add more confectioner’s sugar- a tablespoon at a time until it reaches the right consistency.
