    In my opinion if you are in the business it would be totally appropriate in hesitating to grade , but it is educational and if you have the means I say go for it get it graded it is definitely worth it ! Thank you

    Daniel great info! On 1 centers. PCGS in my opinion Grades too low, when you know for a fact it's a higher grade then they give you some grade that just doesn't make sense. I walked away from collecting the last 2 years cause I was so upset with the grade. But then I saw you pop up on my cell, and you dragged me back in for hope. Your the BEST and HONEST Teacher Collector's

    Thank you! Your the only one who explains penny’s this well and how to grade them. We just sent in about 12 coins to pcgs. They were from 1963 to 1977. We got about 5 66’s and 5 65’s one 65 plus. We were surprised not to get one 67. They were in great condition but I noticed that the more tone they were the higher the grade was. I will subscribe! Keep talking penny’s 😊

    If you wondering whether or not to grade your coins. Even the smallest of blemishes will knock your coin back a point. Particularly on your Modern coins. Be thankfull that it's like this. The standard has to be set so high or high grades would be common and our coins would be worthless. Absoloutely perfect is what your looking for. Thanks for the video and not trying to draw an example.

      What grading holder are they in PCGS or NGC?

    • @richcali21
      @richcali21 5 лет назад

      @@CoinHELPu I have always used PCGS because the dealers I work with wont buy NGC unless its keys. I have also always preferred them but the way they grade for both companies has been very up and down for the last few years. I get about 50/50 of what I grade but I am extremely picky and careful to only send the best of my coins and have lots of MS66 coins in slabs that I use to help make sure I am not forgetting just how much luster and such as the luster has always been my downfall. I also have OBW rolls so sometimes there are the tiniest of rub or friction marks that you can hardly see and some times they let them slide and sometimes they do not. It is a real challenge and I think that is why I enjoy it so much.

    The trick to worth, and value, and top dollar and so forth all comes down to finding the person who values their dollars less than what your item for sales is to you, at that moment in time.

    • @CoinHELPu
      @CoinHELPu  2 года назад +1

      That is not how value works, we have a standard that determines values of most coins, and that is multiple people paying a medium price for a coin. This creates comps that we can average values from. I could sell a coin worth a $1 for $1,000 to a dummy, but that doesn't mean the coin is now worth $1,000 if several have been selling for only a $1.

    • @dont.ripfuller6587
      @dont.ripfuller6587 2 года назад

      @@CoinHELPu Correct, perhaps I used the wrong syntax, as I was alluding to the other side of the same coin.
      If I have something thats worth $100 to me, but I can't find a buyer, the more I need cash or goods or whatever I'm trading for, the liklier the item becomes worth less than the $100 I originally valued it to be and I accept less cash on the trade, as cash would be more valuable to me, right then and there.
      , Or inversely, someone with an abundance of easy cash, might offer more for the item than l had it priced, if there was a competing buyer or it held some pertinent relevance to them, to them, cash would be less valuable.
      Then there's the guy with a bag of gold but no food or water, how exponentially the gold loses its value to him, the longer without eating he goes until he would trade the whole bag for a glass of water.
      I might have some terminology mixed up, but hopefully that clarifys where I was trying to go. Certainly wasn't suggesting go out and justify ripping people off by telling oneself since they paid it, it was worth it.
      But I also wasn't thinking about our basic measurement for creating a standard or at least a starting point for determining value... what worth is one hour of labor...

    Now I really like these videos Daniel cause it helps to get a better aspect to grading. I will say though the coin you were showing looks like most the 60s coins an 50s coins. I've looked at em four hours studying them an there all beat up scratched up an yet there all mint state 67. 🤔🤔🤔 Makes ya wonder what's really going on an frustrates people. For instance I just sent I'm a 1965 dime an was graded at AU 58 an I looked at coin facts at some mint state 66 grades an couldn't believe my eyes with as beat up as them dimes looked. So yes grading coins can be a huge frustration if you don't know how to properly grade your coins so nice video an hope to see more of these videos down the road. Thanks have a blessed day.

I was hoping someone would bid on the good ones then I’ll list another for a bit more. I’d say most of mine are good or very good and some fine. I’ll list for 5 or something. • @CoinHELPu
      @CoinHELPu  5 лет назад

      Actually there's not a P over S and in order for that to happen a Philadelphia Mint die must be shipped to the San Francisco Mint. Since these dies are heavily documented, then there's a paper trail and then they're carefully ground off under security. So no Susan Anthony P mint die was ever shipped to the S mint. Since that is the case then there was something else wrong with the mint mark.

    Yea you’re right on grading Lincoln cents. It can be difficult. I have a 1909 S I think will get UNC If I sent off. It’s between a 58 and low MS. I inherited it and thus would be a profit regardless of the grade. Anyways, thanks for this. Good video!

    I got 4 87 D, 1 of them D/D, absolutely NO scratches. I’m really really trying to study pictures because I think it’ll come down to the strike. I’m gonna have my LCS look at them too. Wish I could teleport to you and get your opinion

    Can you do a video on coin Restoration that the grading complaines offer. Would end up getting a clean grade or no just a regular grade? Would restoration remove tarnish, toning, and graffiti I guess you would call it graffiti because there is a little bit of gunk on it.
