Considering his age Shaw is still a literal tank

I’m not certain, but I don’t think he’s a literal tank. I don’t think that would be allowed.

Say what you will, Brian Shaw was close to getting that 5th title, and he placed the highest since winning his fourth in 2016. I think he can still get that 5th title.

I think now that Licis and Kieliszkowski are now back Novikov will likely be working alot harder after his poor showing and also Tom's brother Luke Stoltman has been improving he nearly came 3rd had he not slipped on the stones tbh I think Shaw will struggle but it's going to tasty WSM this year

I would love to have seen a younger aggressive Shaw vs. Stoltman in the stones. I still lean a bit toward Stoltman, but I bet it would have been a sight to behold.

Shaw and Stoltman are the two best stone lifters I've ever seen. Shaw still holds several stones records. A Brian Shaw in his prime would've given Tom a run for his money at this event even if the outcome would be the same.

Tbh even if Shaw didnt make that thumble this event is Stoltmans bread and butter, Shaw on the last 2 stones was struggling but he did amazingly to come back after Tom's slight slip ups before this event

I think Shaw was the strongest man ever and competed the longest in and era and still does (retired this year only / maybe) he had to compete with big Z , Thor , Mariusz , Eddie and now he’s still here side by side with big Tam .. and to cap it all what a gentleman

I don't know what the unbreaded was watching
But shaw did not get smoked
With the age difference and the stumble on the second stone
    It would have been close
But stoltman absolutely is a true strong man
He has not peaked in strength
As for Brian Shaw he is and always will be number 1
He has bought respect to all that trains for a very discipline and daily routine very few possess.
Brian will go in the record books
Brian gave the world a view in the lives of what most of us would have never thought of.
I could keep going but I need to stop now.
So congrats to Tom you deserve it.
Brian thank you for getting me interested in wsm.
And let's not leave mr. Eddie hall another great power lifter and wsm.
    Ok I'm done

    • @jmcsquared18
      @jmcsquared18 4 месяца назад

Shaw still placed 3rd in the stones just behind Boudreault.
Stoltman's just went so fast he made Shaw look like he was standing still.
It's not that Shaw got smoked, it's that Stoltman is just inhuman at stones.
