  • We're continuing on with our upgrades to the SR20DET Notch Top engine in the S14 drift car. In this episode, we're going to show you how to install the fuel rail that came with the NP Boosted Intake Manifold. We'll show all the parts you will need, as well as how we routed everything.
    Even though we're working with the NP Boosted fuel rail, the principles are just about the same for any aftermarket fuel rail. Shoot us a message if you have any questions!
    Check out www.performancefuelinjection.ca if you're looking for your own set of injectors. They were super helpful, and we would highly recommend them to anyone who is in need of injectors. (Not a sponsor. We just like supporting local businesses!)

      I hope so. It's actually a pretty simple system to install. The tuning will be the interesting part.

    Loving the detail, keep it up.
    I've just done a nice top mount setup on mine, next will be tidying up the fuel system and inlet side. This is a great walk threw

    Just wanted to say, thanks for uploading and great videos. I am basically taking the same approach as yourself to my SR20 rebuild, nearly down to the exact same components, so its nice to see what all is involved with the setup I am going with. When I start uploading videos of my work, feel free to comment and let me know what you think or if you have any advice. Thanks again!

    Are you able to show how the injectors fit into the manifold, along with some measurements which may help someone (like me) who doesn't have the exact length for the injector and needs to work out what size may work for there setup?

      Hi there. With the NP Boosted Intake Manifold, you will need 60mm injectors, with 14mm O rings. Not sure how other manifolds measure up, but that was the numbers for this one. I sourced mine from a company called Performance Fuel Injection.

    Does it make a difference where the inlet enters through the fuel rail? Like having the inlet closer to cylinder 4 or 1? Also do you prefer the fpr to be before or after the inlet?

    Nice work on the channel. Can I ask why such a large DBW?? Are you chasing over 550hp?? Interested to see if pedal modulation is compromised ?? Probably not 🤷🏾‍♂️

      Honestly, the size of the throttle body was determined by the intake manifold and the adapter I could find. Once all of these modifications are complete, it will be easily ready for an engine and turbo upgrade. I always favor supporting mods and engine management first!

    Great video. My oil pump gasket leaks. Is there an easy way to change it without removing the head gasket? Not looking forward to tearing the block down completely to do this

    • @BrainPowerMotorsports

      You should be able to do it without removing the head. Drop the oil pan, couple bolts accessed through the top of the head, and remove the bolts on the front cover. May need to remove the exhaust cam if you're having trouble getting at one of the bolts. Check out the video below, it may help.

    Did you purchase the fittings for the fuel rail as a set or separate?

    • @BrainPowerMotorsports
      @BrainPowerMotorsports  2 года назад

      Hi there. Sorry for taking a while to get back to you. The fuel rail came with the ORB to AN fittings, as well as an ORB plug. The rest of the fittings were purchased separately.
