I’m taking the Golden Pothos that has been propagating in spring water since August 15th last month and potting it in soil!

“Use a well-draining soil mixture and plant the cuttings in a small pot with drainage holes. Give the freshly potted plant a good watering and return it to a location with bright, indirect light.
Keep the soil evenly moist for the first one to two weeks to help the roots acclimate to the soil.”

To give your pothos cuttings their best chance, it’s good first to let them grow roots in water. From there, it’s a simple process of transferring them - complete with new root systems - into good-quality soil. Once planted in soil, they benefit from accessing the nutrients, vitamins, and minerals embedded within it.
This makes them more robust for further growth and more tolerant of varying environmental conditions.

Nice. I’m too nervous to put my neon Pothos back into soil. She likes the water so I figure if it’s not broke don’t fix it🤷🏽‍♀️

Lol I completely understand keeping your Pothos in water, I still have some that I’ll keep in water forever more than likely 🫙🚰

I root my Neon Pothos in Gustavo's tank. He is a twin tail halfmoon male betta. My God 😮🤯 roots grow so fast and so long. The Scindapsus Exotica leaves are big and beautiful even underwater. The Exotica stays in his tank for hiding, resting, play area. Neon pothos or any other cuttings I leave in for about a week, then pot up. Just potted up second Neon clipping to add with earlier potted up piece. Guess Gustavo has that magic water 🪄🔮
