Helping my mom propagate her fridge pothos

Mom is very camera shy BUT I appreciate her allowing me to film the process of helping her propagate! She is practicing her skills and I’m very proud of her and her fridge pothos! No matter what your skill set, anyone can have a “green thumb”.

I'm not sure about that... I went to my daughter's which she just moved out in August of last year.. She wanted my mandevilla plant... I don't think she's watered it much since I sent it. 😢😢 I had to rescue it I really did!! I kept telling her to water it please water it just water it please😢😢😢 She didn't😮😮 poor baby was dying😢 I stole it I brought it home cannot believe how much dead was on her trimmed her back praying for her to come back to life... I got to start with something easy. So she don't kill it. So either that something that sits in water or doesn't need any water hardly at all. I told her she needed to go to plant 🌵☘️ parenting classes😂😂😂

This is such a dumb question, but I have one of these it was one of my grandma's and so after you do this and roots grow (this video helped me indemnify the plant I have ) you just plant it to another pot of its own ?

THANK YOU FOR MAKING PLANT CONTENT! I almost killed my favourite plant (a young monstera thai constellation). If I hadn’t seen your RUclips shorts I would have had NO idea that i was accidentally murdering her. Last night i noticed the bottom leaf yellowing and immediately uprooted her and recognised all the signs of root rot thanks to you! Thank you for sharing your plant knowledge! I gave her a much chunkier soil mix than she had been in previously and transplanted her to a terracotta pot after giving her roots a bit of TLC ❤

Clipping at each node ensures each leaf grows its own individual roots, and you’ll get stronger propagation overall if you cut at each node instead of putting the whole vine in water. In my experience YMMV.

I love how you are teaching your mom to propagate her pothos. Be careful of the sens you put it in the water tho, the upside of the branch should stay Up. Its a pothos so it will still work, but more difficult plants may not

Cut from the middle to make the plant fuller. Then from within the pot on the outside stems to create more legs up higher.

My grandma's fridge pothos, grew over 10 meters. When she passed away, I inherited her plants (nothing more, I'm the youngest of the whole family, so I don't deserve charity or even a pic of her). The plants were meant to be to the trash, so now I have them and had to propagate them too and the fridge pothos' babies are doing well... But I can't put on my fridge 😅

My mom has a Forest of low maintenance plants. I’ve been on a Hoya kick and have been giving her some of my extra propagations that rooted. She doesn’t want my “hard work to go to waste”
