I saw on twitter that Guz apparently learned about the poem just today. He should’ve been called to meet Persia! That was amazing, she’s clearly such a taskmaster fan and amazing contestant
How the hell did the children perform on the same level as adult comedians? I'm not saying some of their jokes weren't childish / obvious, that's to be expected, but the general feel is of a really good normal TM episode with some of the best contestants! Great job everyone involved. Thank you for making this happen - and available for us non-UK viewers!
Anita shouting at the milkman was fantastic, and her taking a bottle each time even though she didn't need to felt like something someone like Ardal would do. "Why'd you take the milk bottle?" "I don't know. I genuinely don't know. I felt like I had to."
Anita is just too adorable. The slight speeaking affectation, the way she translates and executes tasks, how she argues. She ranks up there with best Taskmaster contestant all time for me.
She really remindes me of one of the child actors from Horrible Histories, the one who played the kid "Chastity" in the "Victorian Eastenders" sketch, for example: watch?v=hHdXXwv3f3Y
imo people are being too hard on this kid. I think his iq stuff might have been tongue-in-cheek, and even if not, let's remember he's just a kid, we've all done dumb stuff as kids. He certainly didn't bring it up this epsiode
I was initially rooting (a bit, I love them all) for Persia and Scarlett but Anita really won me over throughout the episode. I still think Kyra's going to eat them all for breakfast. Can't wait for the 2nd semi.
A lotof people must have been fed by the clones of that potato, and that potato has the full potential to grow into more potato plants and feed even more people. It's certainly one of the best things.
@@Sheer_Falacy agreed, maybe it's because you can put "a" before anything but "green" takes the effort of finding things from a specific category as the task intends. she basically turned the it into balance X colored things instead of X named things, he just did X things
I'm so glad Persia did what I had been waiting for at 26:16. Even better, she unintentionally recreated the 'bring a classic board game to life' task by turning Mike into Buckaroo.
I find it interesting none of the contestants ever decide not to take the time-penalty when given the option. 10 seconds is much less than the bit of going to the door and back.
When the Harry Potter movies were first being released, they gave a whole new generation of young British actors their big break. I wonder if we'll look back at Junior Taskmaster the same way, but with comedians rather than actors.
The more this series rolls on, the more and more curious I am about the behind-the-scenes part of Taskmaster as a whole! For the main series, I'm sure that the contestants shoot all their parts roughly at the same time to coordinate scheduling, plus however many extras they may need for potential tie-breaks or anything, then the team decides which tasks make which episodes. But for this, did they have all the kids do all the tasks first and then choose which ones to use based on who advanced? Have any of the TM podcasts talked about this series yet?
Taskmaster podcast for the last episode said that they shot semi finale and finale tasks with all the kids at the same time as their first episode tasks.
@LordHorst Oh, for some reason I misheard that 13:48 as a 30:48. The fact that Mike announced Finley's score first and putting so much emphasis on his many missed bells didn't help aswell. Thanks for clarifying (:
Do you know if they filmed all the tasks beforehand? Or did they wait until they knew which kid go into the semifinals/ finals and then invited the kids back in to film more tasks?
Definitely. Finley and Lazer deserve another go for sure. The thing that the Junior Taskmaster has made more clear is just how unfair the judging is. I'm sure many will disagree, but I see a certain bias with some of the kids, particularly the girls. And, it's more about the tasks that would have been filmed but didn't make the studio cut (for whatever reason)... it's entirely possible that the boys did better on some tasks, but they'll never get the points for those tasks. What tasks are selected to make the final cut essentially decides who the winners will be. I'm just saying it's not a very fair system. This is so evident in the JTM show. Lazer gets eliminated. Then the following episode, they make it a point to show in black & white with a buzzer sound that they've done something they shouldn't have and potentially are disqualified. Then there's the saying or doing a certain action as explained in the task. It's funny how Rose will enforce that sometimes but other times not care. Again, I see a gender bias. I'm sure all this happens in the adult versions as well, but it's different for them, because they have 10 shows on which they appear, whilst these kids only have one shot.
@@aderi31415 No, they still could have held the table, or at least done so by cupping it underneath with both hands to look like they were holding it up or at least making contact with the object.
I’ve really liked this season. All the kids have been great. It makes me happy that all of them got to film the semi-finalist tasks at least. I’m interested though, it seems like if the top three kids get to move on to the finals then the top three of the first place kids will as well. So I imagine that means for the first time we’re getting six contestant at once.

I'm disappointed the kids aren't as creative with the rules as the adults are, I was expecting more creativity, they're kids after all! Like on the milk task, 100%, I could see an adult just not answering the door for the mailman, because the penalty is only 10 seconds and you waste more time than that answering the door. Or maybe just leaving the door open and answering it from the room where you're filling up the cows, or even filling up the cows on the porch there's no rule that said they couldn't! There's so much creativity with these tasks they've been given, but it's been pretty rare for any of the kids to get creative with their approaches... Let's step it up kiddos, I believe in you!!

Having eliminations makes it much more tense. I was cheering and clapping for the winners despite living alone.
As soon as I read this episode's title I thought: 'Mike definitely could milk a pigeon!'
