It's so nice that they make sure the kids understand the instructions (in the live task I mean) before starting, it's a good thing to check. Especially with the gap in ages , I like that they check with the younger kids specifically
That makes sense, it's hilarious for people to misunderstand the task when they have a thing they can read about it at any time, but a lot less hilarious if every live task devolved into "what did the task say?!"

How do they all have so much personality and self-confidence? 10-year-old me wouldn't have been able to get a single word out. Even now, grown-up me probably wouldn't.
They're professional child actors whose overbearing helicopter parents living vicariously through them are just offstage making sure their ungrateful kids don't screw up THEIR big break into show business.
Ahh I so love seeing Rose getting more confident in the role, especially at also "judging" the kids instead of seeming afraid of being mean. The bit at 28:39 about them all doing terribly and noone getting points really married this being the kids show to still being Taskmaster afterall and Rose being an actual presence in the format, which to me was lacking in the first three episodes. And no I'm not saying "be horrible to the kids", just seeing a bit more teasing and banter was wonderful and the kids obviously loved it and took it in stride!
What an adorable child. If I was Rose she’d gotten so many bonus points, could not do that job. The way she looked so genuinely happy when she won the live task.
Oh yeah, Jamie is my favorite. And yet another perfect example of Mike Wozniak being a perfect Taskmaster's assistant. Being the "TM" is fairly straight-forward, issue judgment without care or mindfulness of others, degrade the assistant, all in the attempt to get a laugh. But being the TM's assistant, means filling shoes similar to that of Little Alex Horne. Which means, you understand you "pseudo-created the show" and therefore technically know more than the TM, but can only show it in slightly subtle ways, while still remaining subservient to the TM and the show.
I think for the kids the TM has the added job of trying to control the atmosphere in the studio with children - keep the kids confident enough that they will jump in and say potentially entertaining things, but still keep enough order that they don't seriously fight.
Loving this rendition of TM. I would love to see them bring in more past contestants for fun tasks like TMNZ does! Sam Campbell or James Acaster would be hilarious working with the kids somehow. In NZ they had David Correos painted like the wall in the after shot of a find the difference task 😂😂😂
I was sure that Finley from the last episode was Acasters kid. And now I sow Kyra and I have another theory. If they would look like him and talk kinda similar, their teachers could tell them: "Great! You are next J.A.!!" And it works!

At first when I started watching the junior, I thought, Rose doesn't have taskmastery vibes. Then I realized: next to Wozniak's energy, anyone can feel like a taskmaster 😂

Kyra's performance was good, but I'm pretty sure Dara Ó Briain (Series 14) got a 5-5-5-5-5-3 plus 2 bonus points, adding up to a whopping 30 points in a single episode. Pretty hard to beat that!
This is really fun. I enjoy the big personalities of all of the kids. However, I'm going to be *that* person, and say that in the sand castle task, the task did specifically say to "transfer the castle", and I don't think re-labelling plinths counts as transferring anything. 😁
Rose is a stronger person than me. I couldn't resist the temptation to grant ties and bonus points. Even though I know it's better for outcomes if you don't.
