@@MobileCarMechanic changing out the PCV valve stopped a lot of the leaking. A bad PCV valve causes increased pressure inside the engine, forcing oil out through the gaskets. Judging from repair receipts from the last owner, many lazy mechanics changed out gaskets without diagnosing the leaks.
New rocker assembly is needed usually. After expanding the thread bore it weakers that corner of the cam cap, and the whole corner breaks off soon after.

It’s called RTV. It’s a silicone that dries into rubber.

This was a on D16Y8 but the concept is the same for any vehicle
the top right bolt's threads are stripped on mg 1999 LX. My valve cover stays leak free with 4 of the 5 holding
