Bruh the B roll is on fire 😆!! IMHO the initial DIY needs to be that door latch thing to shut down that stupid chime when the key gets inserted into the cylinder. Good video dude!!
Only thing I would have done differently is to check the fuel pump fuse after it failed to come on. Good logical way to troubleshoot vehicle problems!!
I have 99 ford expedition Eddie beaur and it's always dead the next day already changed alternator and starter and battery but still having the issue. Can you help what it might be
Thanks for the question. Your issue sounds like a parasitic draw, where something is draining the battery when the vehicle is off. Here’s how to troubleshoot: 1. Test the Battery and Alternator: Use a multimeter to confirm the battery has ~12.6V (engine off) and the alternator outputs 13.8-14.4V (engine on). 2. Check for Parasitic Draw: Disconnect the negative battery cable and connect a multimeter in ammeter mode. A draw over 50mA (0.05A) indicates a problem. 3. Locate the Issue: Pull fuses one at a time while monitoring the multimeter. The drop in current will identify the problematic circuit. 4. Inspect Common Culprits: Look for stuck relays, lights staying on, faulty modules, or aftermarket devices. Hope this helps!
Yes, a bad fuel pump can cause long cranking and stalling because it fails to deliver adequate fuel pressure. This leads to difficulty starting the engine and interruptions in fuel flow, resulting in stalling. Checking fuel pressure with a gauge can help confirm if the fuel pump is the issue.
Hello Sir, I am haveing a similar issue with my ford expedition 2005. It canks over but shows no signs of starting. Sprayed engine starter fluid in the throttle and it seemed to want to start but it only did it twice and I couldnt replicate it again. Took off the fuel pipe going in to the fuel rail and there was fuel coming out strong when turned key to on position therefore the fuel pump is working. Also checked the coils and it has power. My next step would be to take out all the spark plugs and replace them. Do you have regarding everyhting ive said an idea what my issue could be?
Thanks for the question and for stopping by the channel. Here are a few ideas: - Although there appears to be fuel coming to the rail. It would be nice to get an actual pressure reading at the rail using a fuel pressure gauge. Assuming you have 5.4L V8 you should be seeing (35-45) psi with the key on, engine off. If you need help checking fuel pressure, here's a link to one of our videos: ruclips.net/video/lloGSFd-5sE/видео.html - Also, just because fuel is getting to rail doesn't necessarily mean it's getting to the cylinders. You can use a noid light or automotive stethoscope to verify the fuel injectors are being commanded to turn on. If they're not being commanded on, this could indicate the computer is missing a critical input from like a crankshaft or camshaft position sensor. -It won't hurt to take a look at your plugs. However, before replacing them I'd suggest spending some more time with the fuel system and verifying everything checks out.
@@daddydiygrilling Thank you for replying. I checked and it says on my scan tool that the pressure when key is in on postion is 40psi. I tried checking the pressure manually but i just couldnt find the shrader valve on my model expedition. I pulled the coils and the plugs and the spark plugs were very dirty but when i put the spark in the coil and tried starting, it indeed had spark. So there is no reason why i shouldnt have been getting combustion correct. I will check tomorrow if the injectors are turning on but is there something else i am missing? From my understanding the engine should have combustion when spark and fuel/starting fluid are introduced. What do you think?
Sounds like you're on the right track. Just keep in mind FASTEC to help you remember all the things an engine needs to start: Fuel - Sounds like you'll be checking the injectors to make sure they're being commanded to come on Air - You can check for air restrictions by removing the air intake snorkel and trying to start the vehicle. This will help rule out a dirty or clogged air filter. Spark - Sounds like you've already confirmed you have spark Timing - Another thing to check after you've ruled out Fuel, Air, and Spark being the problem Exhaust - Another thing to check after you've ruled out Fuel, Air, and Spark being the problem Compression - Another thing to check after you've ruled out Fuel, Air, and Spark being the problem Also, check to see if your vehicle has any trouble codes. This can help give more insight into what's going on.

Lol. Thanks! We'll be sure to get that chime taken care of for the next video.
Exactly what is wrong with my truck thank you for the video it really helps because income issues too

Great suggestion! Stay tuned for part 2!
Thanks for your work sir

More issues since ford don’t want to work on 1981 no more after they made so much money off us old people. I hope this is my problem now. Thanks.
I understand the frustration. Glad the video can help!
