    Do you recommend this for someone who has zero experience in assembling stuff like this?

    • @jaiteamodels

      Absolutely Charlie, the Bandai kits build up fantastically just out of the box, everything interlocks, most people compare it to Lego for ease of building

    Yo this helped me so much, I was looking for something to take the gold out for a custom TC-14 just a all silver protocol droid.

    Excellent work. I'm just getting around to building this kit and your tips are very valuable.
    I was curious if you've seen any cracking or problems with neck or shoulders where you used clear lacquer to remove the gold finish.
    I know Bandai kits often react to certain chemicals badly.
    Thanks much and again, great work.

      Hi Jim, thanks very much, I didn’t have any bad effects with the plastic, just be careful, don’t soak the plastic with the lacquer, spray onto a tissue or cloth etc

    That came out really nice. The weathering finishes it off to perfection.

    Disclaimer for the ones trying the white glue technique: Do not try Meyco White Glue, while it is similar in texture as Elmers School Glue, it is next to impossible to apply it to the surface of this kit. If you are lucky you get some parts to be dulled down but you sort of have to use "violence" here. It is an absolute shit show to make it "stick" with this one

    I’m torn. I have this kit and it’s SO shiny, I was going to leave it unweathered and clean as if it were the yavin ceremony at the end of a new hope. But all that grime and weathering really brings out the realism. Beautiful work.

      The good thing about the pva is if you don’t like it you can wet it & it’ll peel off or wipe away ,…thank you Alan!!

    Great job....the pva glue trick is spot on to the weathering in the movie. What ratio did u use to thin it/

    • @jaiteamodels
      @jaiteamodels  4 года назад

      Thanks Menudofan1985 , I just did it by eye until it was thinned to enable me to paint it on but still see through it,...so when I painted it on , it just looked wet.
      When I dried it with the hair dryer, you could see it becoming matt
