For a guy like me who loved building and painting models to the level of using masking tape, rattle cans and a good set of fine detail brushes. Hell in the late 60's and early 70's in my world of limited budget using rattle can's, fine detail brushes and "freezer tape" for masking....electrical tape or scotch tape if I needed a tight line was steppin in high cotton. Forget about lighting my builds in those days. My being forced to retire relatively young due to serious medical issues left me with time on my hands that better be filled with something fun as opposed to dwelling on how much time I had left. A few RUclips video's later featuring LED's, SMD's and an airbrush to replace the rattle cans for the most part and I'm having fun again ! @@wakemanedwards3450 The DeAgo Falcon I did was my first in 20 years, and that's what got me back into it. So glad I did. It's something I just love doing.
It's their market that they targeting, Japan. Their primary market is Gundam and they usually sell the 6" tall units the most. Limited space, etc. But yeah, would LOVE to see 1/48 Y-Wing and B-Wing at least.
I started buying these a couple of years ago, and everything you say is true; brilliant detail and fun to build. So far I have made the TIE IN, Snowspeeder, AT-AT, AT-ST, A-Wing, Y-Wing, Speeder Bike, a bunch of the 12th scale figures, and have 16 unbuilt kits including the 48th scale X-Wing and foot-long Imperial Destroyer. I'd love to make the 72nd scale Falcon, but just can't justify spending that much. I'd do $200, but I can't find it for less than $400. I still hope to see more OT vehicles, like the Jawa Sandcrawler, Bespin Air-car, Rebel Transport, Medical Frigate, Tie Bomber, Lambda Class Shuttle, maybe Jabba's Sail-barge? Plus there's plenty of figures I want to build, including Bossk, IG88, SnowTrooper, AT-AT Driver, EV-9D9, TIE Pilot, etc, etc... (not to mention Clone Wars era stuff!) Apaart from Rogue One, I'm not interested in Disney Star Wars. Maybe I'll start my Star Destroyer today.. heh heh
I really like the Bandai Star Wars Spaceship Models. Mini versions too. Epic. I would like to see the standard version B-Wing build. Thanks for sharing your builds. They're awesome.
I've actually built the First order Tie Fighter and Special Forces Tie and painted them to as close to the studio models. Though after the Debut of the Skywalker Rises teaser it might be possible there might be a First Order TIE Interceptor coming from Bandai.
These are as great as I would expect from Bandai, though I'd like to see them cover some prequel era designs, like the LAAT Gunship, ARC-170, Naboo Starfighter etc.
I really want to get into these, I like that you don't have to glue every little piece like other kits, I just wish they came more ready painted too. That's just how lazy I really am.....
Oh hell yeah! So glad I watched this video! Just ordered 0-0-0. Thank you so much for that info. Wife said “That’s enough models for the month though please.” Luckily she sent it in a text so I can quote her on that in a few weeks. 😈
Yes, the Bandai kits are awesome in their detail, even on the smaller ship models. Generally, I buy the kits because I love the instruction pamphlets that come with them. Some great orthographic photos of the finished products in them, which make for great texture sources for my computer generated model builds in Blender. I also think that Fantasy Flight games make some excellent and highly detailed miniature builds for their X-wing and Armada table top games. From X-wing, I have both the Han Solo and the Rey Millennium Falcons, the TIE Punisher (think TIE Bomber with extra weapons bays arranged in an "x" configuration), the Lambda class shuttle, and the large miniature of the Corellian Corvette (my favorite ship in the Star Wars universe). From Armada, I have the Gladiator, VIctory, and Imperial class Star Destroyers. (The Gladiator was inspired by the Star Destroyers we saw in the 80s animated series: Star Wars Droids). I am eagerly awaiting (what is sure to be very expensive) the Super Class Star Destroyer, the Executor. I would love to see Bandai do a model kit of The Executor. Christopher, your model builds are exquisite. The level of detail and painting, and the electronic rigging you did for the cockpits, engines, and weapons. Very, very well done. Your accolades are well deserved. HA! I have that same Weylan-Yutani shirt. Bought it at a Comic-Con a few years ago.
Yeah after the Y-Wing and tie Interceptor I'm a Bandai addict myself .. working on getting my skill level to that of yours .. you're an inspiration Chris .. I'll be watching 🤘😎👍

I really can't wait for you to show your B-wing videos !!!!
Hello, Christopher! Just found your channel. I am getting ready to expand my modeling horizons by delving into Star Wars kits. I just got the Ban Dai X-Wing, and am going to peruse your channel for inspiration.
I've just started model making and bought the shore trooper and death trooper kits to start me off, want to get a feel of building these before trying some custom builds. Great vid just subbed!
Hello Christopher, I wish ILM and Lucasfilms and Disney of course watch your vids and send you a VIP card for next Star Wars event or at least invite you to visit studios as you put so much passion in your models. And I definitly agree with you Bandai molds are far beyond standards. Best regards.
The size of the kit is subjective. As a baby-boomer modeler I don`t mind the smaller kits for practical space reasons when it comes to displaying a collection. On the other hand, the detail of the smaller kits are second to none and a painters dream. I wish the smaller scale ships were a little larger (like the 1/5000 Star Destroyer), but they are still very impressive when you compare them to the past offerings you have demonstrated.
They truly do amazing detail in a small scale. I don't mind some in 1/72, but I prefer 1/48. Obviously, depends on the real ship though. A 1/48 ISD probably wouldn't work out to well. LOL. I can't wait to get my 1/5000 ISD, but a slightly larger version would be nice. Like the Zvesda 1/2700.
Very nice work on your award winning models and nice collection. Though I am more into Star Trek, I started building some of the small Bandai kits because of the detail they put into them. I did a nice Death Star Attack diorama depicting the scene from the movie. It has some cool lighting effects, and I also lit the small Star Destroyer and Millennium Falcon. I also built the Revell build and play Imperial Star Destroyer with over 1000 holes drilled with a pin vise for 300 feet of. 25mm fiber optics. Doesn't look anything like what came out of the box. I did a little build series on that. Hope you get a chance to check them out sometime. Have to subscribe to you and tell some of the other sci-fi modelers that I talk with about you.
I have found a new hope millinumn falcon with lights this will be my first serious build still a bit expensive an want to take my time especially after finishing up Battlestar Galactica colonial viper added some lights looks cool need a better air brush I'll save lots of videos an tips with your awsome paint schematics good job ur awsome

Just found your channel. I’ve built 60+ Bandai SW kits and the engineering is unparalleled. The decals suck though. At any rate, since this was posted last year, just to update, we may have seen the best of it. With the global apocalypse and the uncertainty at the Mouse, Bandai may not get a renewal of the license. MTFOOBWY
How do you submit ideas for different Star Wars kits? Bandai's website says they don't take suggestions. Do any of these sound interesting to builders? 1. Luke's land speeder 2. Jawa Sandcrawler (a huge one) 3. IG-88 4. Tusken Raider 5. Snow Trooper 6. TIE and/or AT-AT Pilot 7. X-Wing Pilot 8. Imperial Probe Droid 9. Bespin Cloud Car 10. Jabba's Sail Barge 11. Death Star I (also huge, like a basket ball, w/leds and green laser for gun) 12. How about a 1/2, or at least 1/4 scale R2-D2 instead of BB-8? 13. Imperial Shuttle 14. Emperor Palpatine's Red Guard 15. Princess Leia as Boussh 16. An interior Death Star scene for 1/12 scale figures, like the trench scene kit (which is off scale, unless you double them up for 1/72 scale kits) Last, but not least: FIX THE 1/6 SCALE STORM TROOPER'S MASSIVE HEAD! lt looks like he's got hydrocephaly. Don't believe it? Compare it to the 1/12 scale. Still don't believe it? Take measurements. Bandai seems to spend an awful lot of time concentrating on making kits from those awful prequel/sequel CGI dependent turds. l actually wanted to file suit against Lucas Film for emotional distress because those movies absolutely disgusted me. l was already upset enough when l took my little brother to see the 20th anniversary re-releases to turn him on to the universe and saw how Lucas had molested the movies l nearly worshipped as a kid, l was effing embarrassed, l had to explain to him why this awesome movie had these silly, cartoonish looking and totally unnecessary scenes. l always wondered how much time, effort and money was squandered creating that ridiculous Jabba scene. And to add insult to injury, he refused to re-master the original theatrical releases because of some complete and utter phony-baloney, when the truth is that he felt spurned when the fans unanimously agreed that his meddling nearly ruined the Star Wars experience for them, so like a stubborn, bratty grade school punk, he's gonna show us by not giving the fans what they want. Now, whoever's responsible for producing these Star Wars Story films (i.e. Rogue One, Solo), they've hit the nail right on the goddam head. Those two movies were what l was expecting to see from Lucas, not the dreck that's been foisted upon so many die-hard and loyal fans, people who were raised on Star Wars since the time they were old enough to talk.
If you count them. Most of them models are the original 3 movies. There isn't much to work with for up 8-9. They are likely required to make some models of the new movies.
I bought a bunch of the Bandai kits at celebration in Chicago. I am not a model builder and first one I tried came out alright no paint. Can you recommend the tools and paints and airbrushing for someone who is a novice trying to get into building on astarter budget.
I have a link to my Amazon storefront in the video description. There I have items listed that I use to build my kits. Everything from airbrush, paint supplies, electronics, LEDs, etc. That's a place to start.
Just built my Death Star II and Star Destroyer. I don't really want to paint them, just maybe add a wash. Anybody have recommendations of what I could buy from my local Hobby Lobby?
Man, that Facehugger model is great, when I was a kid there was this local comic book store called "Dreamlands", in the '90s, that had it above the entrance. I spent a lot of time there after school, such a cool place.
More ships from the prequels and Star Trek,in fact anything from Bandai puts Revell to shame.Despite all the hard work put into the molds, there still exists green strawberry photoetch for these. Some people are never happy.
I've used the photo etch in my x-wing and y-wing just in the cockpit. The tie fighter for the cockpit as well, but also some of the exterior detail looks really nice with the photo etch. Though the tie is not Bandai.
Enjoyed you video Chris, quick question...the Han and Luke Stormtrooper kits you have from bandai, are the helmets the same as the Trooper kit or hollow? Keep up the good work
It all depends on the kit and any modifications. For a small Bandai kit with lighting, at least $400. For the DeAgp Falcon type, $8k. But I get time. That's my issue now as well. I've had many ask for the Jupiter 2, but I'm not doing those now, as it just took so much of my time for a year, I couldn't do anything else.
I've never bought a Bandai for a couple of reasons. One, they are too small. Two(the most important reason), all of them I find are snap together. I'm biased against snap together, snap together kits cannot be good, so I have never bought a Bandai.
I used to think snap kits were not good kits too, until I did Bandai. The design of them is great. I still use some glue in some areas. More 1/48 scale would be nice, but the 1/72 are so nice for the size.
@@modelsbychris I'm glad you seem to understand where I'm coming from. My comment definitely isn't intended as an insult. It's intended to show where my biases lie, this is my problem. They may be nice kits, and I'm trying to overcome this bias. I went to the hobby shop the other day to buy one and try it, even though it is snap together. Unfortunately I chickened out again and left without it again... In my brain a model kit has to be glue together and has to have a LOT of pieces that need to be fitted. I'm just going to have to suck it up and give it a real shot.
I love the quality of Bandai. But they are not models, they are children’s snap together kits that are molded in colour. If a 6 year old can put it together it’s not a model it’s a “some assembly required” toy. For the size of some ships the scale is way to small. 1/144 for the Slave 1? Really? And their price is ridiculous to boot. Still I have to give them thumbs up for detail.
Huh? Even those Revell Buil-&-play is still "model kits" Those $50 Eaglemoss miniatures are also "models", but are not model kits you build. "Molded in color"? Like Bandai is the only company that ships a kit with 3~5 different color parts? The 1970s MPC R2D2 kit came with white, clear-blue and chrome parts.... it's not a model? "If a 6 year old can put it together, it's not a model" makes NO SENSE! My first model kit was an MPC muscle car I got and built at age SIX, so that was never a model? Build a $200 PG Gundam model and call that a "toy". Yes, Revell Build & Play are targeted for children, they are made of softer and thicker plastic and include a battery /light module at a child can build in 15~30 minutes or an adult can paint up to look quite nice. Thus, they'll hold up being played with. That $30 build & play Revell Star Destroyer is far more accurate than the HORRIBLE 1980 MPC Star Destroyer which is a nightmare to build with horrible fitting parts. The Starwars Bandai models are NOT toys. Drop them, they will break. The $400 Bandai PG Millenium Falcon is a toy with over 800 parts? Uh, no. Compare the $20 Revell Falcon to Bandai's $45 1/144 Falcon which is slightly bigger. The revel is missing lots of details, inaccurate - But you can put its 25 or so parts together in 15 minutes. The Bandai is slightly bigger, has about 200 parts which look very screen accurate. Optional aftermarket 3D Printed parts and photo-etching parts thrown in for more details. You can build it out of the box without paint and use its stickers/decals to build in about 2-3 hours, but many, if not most people will spend days, weeks painting and customizing it. I've been building Star Wars models since 1977, I still have many of them today, some I can see right now with my eyes. I've recently built another MPC X-Wing (1:43 scale) then the Bandai (1:72). That MPC sucks. I'm too old and have not the time to spend fighting a kit that doesn't fit well, inaccurate and lacks details, yet I did spend half the build time scratch building custom parts to make it look better. The 1:72 Bandai is beautiful. It goes together without fuss or needing clamps to hold it together while the cement cures to keep it from springing apart unlike typical MPC, AMC and other old and even current Round2 kits. I rarely ever use cement for a Bandai kit! Seams are hidden or they are along panel lines. That 1:72 Bandai X-wing destroys the MPC in detail and the 1:48 Bandai is better still and includes lights and motors for the wings and engines. Pick one up when you can, they're usually $100. Having a model like Bandai that you can take apart is very handy. Such as replacing an LED or making a modification during or after a build that would severely damage a typical "model". I've done it. I was weathering a finished model and decided I wanted the engine lights to be white-blue rather than orange. Took me 5 minutes to remove a few key parts, swap out the parts, then 5 minutes to put it back together again, then continued my weathering. Bandai's model engineering is second to none and is one of the reasons why they are the largest company in the industry, able to mix 4 colors of plastic onto a single sprue, even to form a single piece of plastic made with 2 ~ 4 different colors. They sell enough models to build a full-scale moving Gundam in Japan. Check it out on RUclips.
Bob said "Size too small": First, Bandai builds models for their primary market, Japan. While a Japanese builder may have a single 1/48 F-14 model, a sci-fi fan may have dozens of models for a series / movies. Bandai has made over 100 Star Wars models since 2015. Old MPC and today's Revell sell kits to *fit the box* so they are off scale from each other. Pretty much all of them are all over the place, so making a diorama or have a sense of scale with those kits is NOT possible! So Bandai makes 1/350, 1/144, 1/72 and 1/48 scale ships. For the bigger ships, they go with 1/1000, 1/5000 and the rest within reason. (1/48 Bandai = Snow Speeder, AT-ST, X-wing) Thus, we can put the 1/144 Falcon, Snow Speeder, A-Wing, X-wing, Slave 1 together. But yeah, it would be nice to have 1/48 B-Wing, 1/48 Y-Wing and 1/48 Tie fighters.. :( It's maddening they didn't a 1/72 U-wing! But hey, maybe Round2 will fill in those gaps and make new decent Star Wars models and not just re-poop out old kits. Look up photos of Bandai's AT-M6 model. It's 2.5inch for $6. Compare it to Revell's $25 8inch AT-M6. The Revell looks like a toy. The feet are completely wrong. The shoulder ledge and other details are completely wrong. It's horrible. But it's bigger, right? No amount of paint will make it look "GOOD". The 2.5" Bandai looks great, looks far bigger than it is. Please compare the photos. PS: Bandai gets the details right with its 26 parts vs Revell's 46 parts 4x larger model. "their price is ridiculous to boot"?? Their prices are generally quite good compared to other models. Currently with the pandemic, reduced inventory and shipping constraints - the prices of the models are higher than they should be, and not just Star Wars. It's crazy. $45 kits going for $120. $120 kits now going for $300, etc. But those prices should normalize in a few months as the word on the street is that Bandai is re-popping Star Wars and Star Blazer kits in April. But let's compare to Round2/MPC Trek models. A $20 1/72 X-Wing model is about the same size as Polar Lights 1/2500 1701-Discovery Enterprise which goes for about $30. I say pay the extra $18 and get the 1/1000 kit Enterprise, it's much nicer. They sell the ancient TOS 1/650 Enterprise for $35~40 and its a horrible kit. Bandai's Star Wars prices are a bit higher than Bandai's Star Blazer prices because of licensing. Don't be surprised if the re-releasd 1970's MPC X-Wing goes for $45. Sure, Bandai's big X-wing is $95~99. But it includes a motorized module, lights for the engines and cockpit besides being very screen accurate. You get a lot more plastic with a Bandai kit compared to Round2's MPC/AMT kits for the price. For what you're getting, the prices are fairly fair - even if they are high sometimes. I sure cannot afford to spend $400 for their Falcon model. But if I could, I would buy it in a heartbeat.
@@TexasCat99 : take it easy there Tex. I was just my opinion. Building models takes years of experience. So ya, if a six year old can put it together it’s not a model.
@@thebobloblawshow8832 You are welcomed to your opinion, but your opinion doesn't change objects or definitions. If we put a six yr old child behind the wheel of a truck, let's say a 2019 Ford F-150 pickup truck with leather trim that has 24,000+ miles on it. He can't reach the pedals and doesn't have the strength to turn the ignition all the way in order to start the engine, much less get it into proper gear, etc. So by your "opinion" - that F150 is no longer a real "truck"... okay, so what is it? So lets say I, as a 6 yr old in the 1970s get a 1978 Trans Am from Monogram #2716. (because I did get such a model in the 1970s) - I open the box, removed the parts from the sprues with my fingers or scissors because I didn't know about nippers, sanding, etc. By myself I put the model together, I used way too much Testors cement, my hand brushed paint looked "okay" to child me. even thou it was very thick, covering up some details. It's the same exact product a 40yr old would buy and build. Then fast forward to 2020, I pull a Monogram model car out of my stash that I bought in 1995. I have very good brushes, far more paint choices on my bench, I use primer and my airbrush to paint the car and with minimal Tamiya cement. The car is no more complicated than the one I built in the 70s... Yet what I build before my preteen years is NOT A MODEL? Again, Everything *IS* a model that is a representation of a real thing. What a great way to teach kids model building. What if a 30yr old does a poor job building and painting a model that a 10yr old does a lot better job of doing... but because he's 30, its a "model" and the child is not? The Bandai kits are model kits. The MPC, Revells, AMT are model kits. The Millenium Falcon model I built in 1980 *IS* still the same model a 40yr would have built. Same box. Obviously, my builds as a pre-teen are nothing like me as an adult. Just because Bandai doesn't make crappy models, especially like the old AMT and MPC models, does NOT make Bandai models not a model kit. Just because you don't have to fight the kit to get something out of it does not make it a toy. The reality is that one company makes a quality product while another does shabby work. I have unbuilt Bandai models that were tooled and released in the 1970s, I have one on my bench right now. Guess what? The PARTS FIT together very well, models that I bought in the 1980s. They FIT. They are now out-dated and sub-standard by modern Bandai standards but the quality is still better than typical AMT/MPC of the 90s and 2000s. You insult future model builders, most of them children when you tell them "ah, you did not actually build a model because you don't have years of experience". The 1970's MPC Space 1999 Eagle model was the same piece of garbage kit they were selling up until 2019. It was always total garbage. The MPC Falcon and Star Destroyer model kids were always garbage. No amount of skill will fix that MPC Star Destroyer.

Maybe I'll start my Star Destroyer today.. heh heh
I've been looking at your builds on the RPF and I'm absolutely knocked out by them. Excellent work.
the General Grievous bandai kit is superb
I would like that also.
AMAZING collection, love the shirt ... and the facehugger on the wall lol
I'll be watching
🤘😎👍
I really can't wait for you to show your B-wing videos !!!!
Loved the tour. Could you PLEASE show us your Alien collection PLEASE?
Chris, followed you for a while..used some of your techniques and have had success.. keep up the good work and DETAILED videos!
Hello, Christopher! Just found your channel. I am getting ready to expand my modeling horizons by delving into Star Wars kits. I just got the Ban Dai X-Wing, and am going to peruse your channel for inspiration.
Hi Chris. Bandai kits are awesome!! Really enjoy your builds. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and ideas. Enjoy the day. Ray L
That up coming Star Destroyer looks sick🤙
The Bandai is 12 inches long, yet it's more than 2-3x times the detail and accuracy over the nearly 24" long Zvezda/Revell Star Destroyer.
I've just started model making and bought the shore trooper and death trooper kits to start me off, want to get a feel of building these before trying some custom builds. Great vid just subbed!
Luv that alien shirt!
Hello Christopher, I wish ILM and Lucasfilms and Disney of course watch your vids and send you a VIP card for next Star Wars event or at least invite you to visit studios as you put so much passion in your models. And I definitly agree with you Bandai molds are far beyond standards. Best regards.
Chris!!!! I’m very excited to see these builds! You’re my go to guy. Also I️ had no idea Bandai released a b wing, lol.
I so want a B-Wing kit and hopefully Bandai will offer a long overdue TIE Bomber soon as well.
Planning on doing the b- wing next
I have found a new hope millinumn falcon with lights this will be my first serious build still a bit expensive an want to take my time especially after finishing up Battlestar Galactica colonial viper added some lights looks cool need a better air brush I'll save lots of videos an tips with your awsome paint schematics good job ur awsome
They got top quality and perfect
If a little small
But I hope they do more there so many Star Wars ships they could do
The ssd sweet
If they hit up the old EU favorites they'd make a ton of money. A TIE Defender would get sooo many people trying out models.
I think I’ve got twenty plus Bandai Star Wars kits in the backlog and I just ordered the big Star Destroyer.
Nice. There's still plenty of others I'd like, but I have some old kits to still finish also
Very cool.
Awesome shirt
It's a shame these kits have become hard to come by for a fair price, I'm glad I bought a bunch of them when I did.
Same. There's only a couple I don't have that I'd like, but the prices are so crazy for them right now.
Your work is amazing,I could only hope some of mine could be that awesome,I have the Darth Vader tie fighter looking forward to building it
Love the video, when will you be doing the snowspeeder and do you still do commission builds and how much...keep up the good work.
Snowspeeder is a few builds away. I do commissions, but it's on a case by case basis. No set price
Bandai with their Star Wars and Gundam kits are arguably the best models you can buy, even better than Tamiya
I love those model kits me boys do airfix spitfires hurricanes red arrow I'm going to be getting all the starwars ones
Enjoy. There's certainly a lot of Star Wars kids from them. I have almost all of them. Not quite though
@@modelsbychris i phoned airfix asked about how many stamps you need for a plane they sent me a stamp book which is on the side of the boxes you need so many bit of a rip off
Just found your channel.
MTFOOBWY
Great video. Can I ask where you got your Alien figurines from please?
Most of them are model kits I built. Got them over 20 years ago. They're by Halcyon. Can be found on Ebay still
Are there any ships, characters from the clone wars? Like general grievous, Asoka, Cad Bane, the Jedi ships, etc?
Oh yes. There's a Grievous kit, Anakin and Obi Wan jedi star fighters, Republic Star Destroyer, Battle Droid, and some others
How do you submit ideas for different Star Wars kits? Bandai's website says they don't take suggestions.
Do any of these sound interesting to builders?
1. Luke's land speeder
2. Jawa Sandcrawler (a huge one)
3. IG-88
4. Tusken Raider
5. Snow Trooper
6. TIE and/or AT-AT Pilot
7. X-Wing Pilot
8. Imperial Probe Droid
9. Bespin Cloud Car
10. Jabba's Sail Barge
11. Death Star I (also huge, like a basket ball, w/leds and green laser for gun)
12. How about a 1/2, or at least 1/4 scale R2-D2 instead of BB-8?
13. Imperial Shuttle
14. Emperor Palpatine's Red Guard
15. Princess Leia as Boussh
16. An interior Death Star scene for 1/12 scale figures, like the trench scene kit
(which is off scale, unless you double them up for 1/72 scale kits)
Last, but not least: FIX THE 1/6 SCALE STORM TROOPER'S MASSIVE HEAD! lt looks like he's got
hydrocephaly.
Get the Perfect grade falcon... the biggest and most expensive kit BanDai made todate, it is movie filming quality.
I've already got the studio scale DeAgo Falcon. I'd love to do the perfect grade, but I'm quite happy with the DeAgo which is studio quality.
Bandai kits have great detail but they are so damn small. Wish they made a larger scale....
Agreed for sure
@@modelsbychris How hard was it to use?Tempted myself but find using photo etch a bit daunting.
@@leecormack2413 it can be difficult, but not too bad. Definitely can be small and fragile to work with. But great results
Enjoyed you video Chris, quick question...the Han and Luke Stormtrooper kits you have from bandai, are the helmets the same as the Trooper kit or hollow?
Keep up the good work
They're like regular trooper kits. Not hollow. You can pop off their heads and replace with trooper head if you wanted. Not hollow
How much does a typical commission cost? I love these finished kits but have no time at all
It all depends on the kit and any modifications. For a small Bandai kit with lighting, at least $400. For the DeAgp Falcon type, $8k. But I get time. That's my issue now as well. I've had many ask for the Jupiter 2, but I'm not doing those now, as it just took so much of my time for a year, I couldn't do anything else.
Hay Chris, are you likely to build Slave 1
Ya know, I have a built and unpainted original MPC Slave One. I'd like to either paint it or get a new one and light it.
Bandai has spoiled me. The other company's kits seem inferior now and I hesitate to buy them.
I hear ya.
I’m not gonna lie these are some awesome kits but add a little tone to your voice or maybe music cause the vid felt kind of dank
Lol. I usually have music, but I've had people say they don't like that. Oh well
They're everywhere in Asia and ssooo cheap.
really hate small kits. if I am going to spend the time I want something large and impressive.
Hence my DeAgo studio scale Falcon behind me. I like larger kits as well, at least 1/48 scale. But room is also an issue.
I followed all the companies making kits over the years but thought they were just globs of shit until bandai started making stuff.
Fine Molds was the first to make nice accurate kits, but Bandai shut them down. They really just set the bar now.
Said KIT way to much for me,
I love the quality of Bandai.
Bob said "Size too small":
First, Bandai builds models for their primary market, Japan.
@@TexasCat99 : Tex,you got way to much time on your hands my friend. I appreciate your enthusiasm for Bandai. I’m simply saying it’s an easy kit to build. You can make the kit simple or complex depending on your skill set.
