It's always nice to see more reactors getting into this amazing group, they're a global phenomenon from Japan and trust me you have seen nothing yet. Here's a brief info about this amazing group: BabyMetal is a Japanese metal dance unit created in 2010 under another Jpop/Jrock group called Sakura Gakuin, they had 11 and 12 years old when started this and become independent after 2013, they created their own genre called kawaii-metal (kawaii means cute) mixing Jpop with metal sound and different subgenres along with many more rhythms. Their name is a reference to a new genre and not related to their ages or "baby" faces, is a pun intended play words with "heavy-metal" which sounds similar to "baby-metal". They are: *SuMetal* lead vocalist, now 26. *MoaMetal* scream and dance, now 24, next July 4th is her birthday. *MomoMetal* scream and dance, she's 21 and is the new official member since April 1st last year. -YuiMetal- scream and dance, former member since 2018. None of them are related. After 2018 you'll see backup dancers performing along with them but none of them are official members, they don't sing, only dance, but that status change recently like i said. There's no other group like them around and teaming up with this group from Germany just elevated them even higher. If you like Jpop and edm elements then you're gonna find a lot of cool songs blended with heavy metal in their latest album "The Other One" released last year. Songs like Divine Attack - Shingeki, METALIZM, Time Wave and Light and Darkness among other great songs as well tracks and live performance from early era will make you bounce and rock with this insane group. This single reached Number 1 best selling song in the US Billboard rock/metal chart for the first time for both bands! Last weekend of May they did the live premiere of this song in Japan at FOX_FEST (a festival held by BM) and everyone went wild with this collab, the live version is already out if you don't wanna stop enjoying this song. They played this together once again at Rock Am Ring and the day before at Rock Im Park in Germany twice in the same day, one during EC show and later at BM show. They already finished the Europe Tour at Resurrection Fest in Spain playing this collab once again in the same stage twice. The girl in the middle is the lead singer SuMetal and she actually dance less than the other girls (MoaMetal and MomoMetal) because she sings most of the time but regardless she can dance and sing and you won't even notice she's out of breath. About this song: This was filmed in Germany and the concept of the MV is they're breaking boundaries with the genres and they don't care about corporation decisions. The "hips don't lie" is definitely a Shakira reference. The "Fu Fu" part sounds like Backstreet Boys - Everybody female backing chorus but it's also used in Japanese karaoke as well many others songs. The "push it to the limit" line it could be an homage to Scarface's movie, another post disco, dance rock song with some guitar elements. The moment when they're bursting the wall is another homage to Aerosmith x Run DMC - Walk This Way MV, symbolism of breaking the boundaries with the music genres like I already said. Also one of the singers is holding up the cable with electricity during the breakdown it could be a reference to "The Cable Guy" movie. When I heard the official audio I thought the second "Are you ready?" chorus was MomoMetal doing the backing growling but they didn't show that in the MV, although later fans spotted in the live performance, so it was her after all as well in the third chorus when singing "Everybody". There's probably more references but I'm a little bit far away from pop culture nowadays that I'm probably missing a lot more. Fun fact: EC said in a reactor comment and later at their own reaction video that they did the bursting the walls scene in one shot, there will be a bts so we're waiting for more. The crew had to put all those disco ball on the celling manually just for this song. They met each other last year when BM went to see EC live in Boston and they asked them to work together, this is a 50/50 collab song. When Metallica saw BabyMetal live they said they were astonished by their awesomeness. HeadBanger -Legend of 1997 and Road of Resistance Live in Japan are my suggestions. BabyMetal has won 32 international metal awards and their song Gimme Chocolate has been named by numerous publications as one of the most important metal songs of the last 20 years

Oh you HAVE to check out more of Electric Callboy. This song was all up their alley. Mixing EDM, pop, Metal etc. and fun and well made music videos. I would suggest their Tekkno Version of "Everytime We Touch" or some of their original songs like "Hypa Hypa", "We got the moves", "Tekkno Train" or "Pump it" I've seen them live twice this year and their concert was so far the best concert I've been to in my life. They are AMAZING musicians and performers and just really humble, fun and down to earth people (And it also helps that they're German like me 🤣)
This was fun thanks! Babymetal specializes in mashing metal together with other genres, making it fun, and doing it perfectly. They are 11/10 metal and fun. Road of Resistance - Live in Japan is my suggestion; it's one of their more iconic early performances, quite metal, and it's right in the center of who they are as a band if that makes any sense. They are basically a combination metal/jpop band that has the lyrics and tone of a happy girl jpop group with the hard metal backing of a almost deathcore metal group. The combination is basically Kawaii metal and works VERY well. The amount of metal and rock artists who have happily partnered up with them and admire their sound is pretty insane. They have been embraced by the metal scene completely and have made their own niche. You'd defeinitely enjoy.
The Japanese metal rabbit hole is more like a vortex. Band-maid, Lovebites, Bridear, Nemophila, Hanabie, and on and on--if you dive in, you many never return.

People who don't know BABYMETAL might think that they are a Pop group that collaborated with a Metal band here, but that's not quite right. As the name suggests, they are a Metal group in their own right, but they fuse all sorts of genres with Metal. I don't know much about Electric Callboy, but I think that this song is pretty much what one would expect from them musically. So both of these bands are actually Metal + X even on their own. If I were to recommend a BABYMETAL song that has a pretty Japanese edge to it, I would choose "Megitsune" (an older song from their first album) or "Metali" (a pretty new single). But you can't go wrong with any song, there are no duds in their catalogue. In general, you should always choose live versions of their songs, because they are such a uniquely entertaining live band (you'll see), but Megitsune is one of the cases where I would go with the official MV (first).
Great first reaction. I've been trying to leave you some information about BABYMETAL, the YT bots are making my comment disappear again. Although this is a straight collaboration between the two bands it is very much in the Electric Callboy style. You won't have seen or heard anything quite like BABYMETAL. They have nearly 70 songs now, each one different to the last - some are good hard metal, some lean towards their pop roots, they do everything in between and they will also mix and blend in so many other musical styles and genres with the metal. You want to see BABYMETAL doing metal? Jump in at the deep end with 'BABYMETAL Death' live at Legend 1997 (actually in December 2013 - lead singer Su-metal was born in 1997, see how they celebrated her 16th birthday).

The energy and entertainment level of both of their live shows is unparalleled (except for each other). Last September I was lucky enough to see both bands in Denver at two separate shows. Too bad they weren't playing together but two amazing shows is great! When EC played Boston they invited BM to visit/hand with them and there formed the foundation for this epic experience!

But this, "Metali" (Live version) as well as their "Legend MM" tour (Where I believe she did some of the screams live) showcased Momo's willingness to be the "Scream/Growler" of the trio which I'm fully f**king down for! It's making me hyped for a new album. Their producer also hinted in an article on a japanese magazine at this as well and the girls themselves in another article praised Momo's ability
and then there's the so-called "momobanger". to celebrate momo becoming a permanent member of babymetal, they had her take over the lead vocals halfway thru the song "headbanger", and she did some nice growling on that one as well.
The girls definitely branched out a bit with this one and let a little more loose than they normally are. They may end up with some more growls and screams in the future.

Fun reaction. This song is more in the Electric Callboy style, but BABYMETAL are so versatile they can do pretty much whatever style and match up with whoever they are collaborating with. BABYMETAL mix things up even more than Electric Callboy. You won't have seen or heard anything quite like them. They are original and unique. Their official videos are all very good, but they are one of the best live bands and they need to be seen and heard live to even begin to understand what they are really about. The name BABYMETAL is not about their ages (even though they were only 12 and 11 when they formed 14 years ago in 2010). It is a pun - Babymetal and Heavy Metal are written and pronounced almost exactly the same in Japanese. Also the baby part is about the birth of a new genre as they pioneered their own metal sub-genre fusing metal with J-Pop melodies and introduced choreographed dance to metal - but not choreo as you may know it from pop acts etc, BABYMETAL's choreo is bespoke for each song, it helps with interpreting the meaning of the song or a lyric, but most importantly it involves and includes the crowd). They have gone on to mix and blend so many more styles with the metal. They have gone from playing shopping malls for free, singing and dancing to pre-recorded instrumentals, wearing borrowed clothes, to being the first Japanese band ever to headline Wembley Arena, the first Asian band to have an album at number 1 in the US Billboard hard Rock charts. They were 18 and 17 when they sold out the Tokyo Dome 2 nights running (55,000 people each night). They performed 'Painkiller' and 'Breaking The law' with Rob Halford from Judas Priest, they have opened for or toured with Metallica, Guns n Roses, Korn and Stone Sour and many more and had some big name bands open for and tour with them. You really, really, really need to check out more Babymetal. Are they Metal? Are they Pop? They're all that and much, much, much more. I recommend you start with Megitsune music video (a very early song) and move on from there. You'll be hooked instantly like I did. Liked and subscribed. 🤘🦊🤘

Babymetal is one of the most polished acts in music today. As every Babymetal fan will tell you they are to be experienced live and especially their shows from Japan. If you like a mix of genres then Babymetal maybe for you, not only will they mix genres but cultures as well. The "Foxhole is deep and there is so much to find down there so if you check out a song and don't like it try another, I have seen so many reactors write them of after one listen and comeback and realize how entertaining they are.
Electric Callboy is a wonderfully fun mix of 80s pop, 2000s-modern EDM, and metalcore. Every video is a delight (most of them shot by the guitarist Pascal & his brother‘s production company) and they’re also outstanding live - seen them 4 times. If you want to hear them do pop and delicious screams with a sense of humor, Every Time We Touch, Pump It, and We Got The Moves are classic next stops. On the more serious side, Mindreader and Parasite both slap. Enjoy the rabbit hole! It’s full of infinite good energy ⚡️

Liked your reaction a lot. Some info about Electric Callboy: They are a Metalcore/Electronicore band made of six Members. They were formed in 2010 in the city of Castrop-Rauxel in Germany under the name "Eskimo Callboy" and take themselves not too seriously. They changed their name to "Electric" after they learned that the first part of their original bands name is problematic and is used as a derogatory name for Inuit and Yupik people of the Arctic. They tend to create hilarious music videos which are almost all produced by the Schillo brothers (Pascal Schillo, a guitarist of the band and his brother Oliver (not a band member) who own a video production company). Most of their songs are about partying and having a good time, but they have some more serious stuff in their catalogue also. They blend Metalcore with EDM, Techno, Pop, Disco and sometimes even Rap music which lead to their very unique style that their fans call "Partycore". There are two main vocalists in the band: Nico Sallach (clean vocals) and Kevin Ratajczak (harsh vocals). Nico prefers the clean singing with his amazing voice and Kevin is more into the harsh vocals but both can do both vocal styles and back each other up if needed. If you'd like to check them out I would recommend "Hypa Hypa" (and maybe the 7 covers by several German bands and artists of different music genres from Pop to Country) ,"We got the Moves", "Pump it", "Spaceman" (ft. German rapper Finch), "Everytime we touch" (Cascada cover) or "Tekkno Train". A special one is "Hurrikan" with some German lyrics at the beginning which is seen as the musical middle-finger to the German ESC board for rejecting their application to the ESC (European Song Contest). For the more serious songs it would be "Hate/Love", "Parasite" or "Mindreader" . Another great collab of Electric Callboy would be "FCKBOI" with the all-female metalband Conquer Divide (5 women from the US, UK and Canada).

The video focusses more on Kevin and Nico (the two vocalists) and the four instrumentalists (Daniel "Danskimo" Haniß (lead guitar), Pascal Schillo (rythem guitar), Daniel Klosse (bass), David Friedrich( drums)) are more in the background, but yes they are a band of six and they are all in the video.
One thing regarding Babymetal. They started VERY young, at 12 and 11 years old. From 2010 to 2017 they were just kids doing amazing stuff. Really amazing stuff. In 2018 one of the girls had left and Babymetal was not really the same any more. They tried with two girls and they tried with several girls acting as the third girl, but without microphone. They experimented and made some few good songs like Papaya and BxMxC. They did some more that not is my style, like Monochrome and Metal Kingdom. In 2023 they decided that one of the temporary girls should officially be a part of Babymetal. The girls are, of course, now fully grown ups and they have to do it differently. They are singing some of the early songs, some of the in between songs and also some new ones. The new ones are almost only collaborations. Like this one.

And borh groups wete founded 2010, so Su was just 12 and Moa and Yui 10.. they were created since their Manager wad an old Metalhead and he recognized that zhe japanese Metal faced Problems. Fans and Musicians were only Boys snd got older from year to year. Since he was the best Handler of Amuse he had no Problem to find girls for the job. And he uded them as his planned performers as well as examples for the prey he wanted to find (young girls).But in general he had trouble to find his prey he needed in fact parents that were intereszed in metal, since very fww people would bring their children younger than 8 to a metal concert. Now 14 years after their founding they were quite shoked that the small girls are now there. Especially in their japanese shows. They attract about 40% female Fans and all ages between 5 and 85. And what was essential for Babymetal their concept worked in Europe and the USA. Many Metalfans had trouble finding Concerts where their girlfriends would be interested. Babymetal worked. In 2014 they were first send to a british festival and these 16 and 14 year old tiny girls rocked 50.000 music fans. Europe had female metal bands for decades. While we don't have anything like the idol industry the instruments of the Bands were never used to determine what a band is. I would advice you to not describe them as a Popgroup, especially Moa might take this very personal. And this is what Babymetal and Electric Callboy do, they mix genres. I Germany no one would have any trouble to describe Electric Callboy as a RockGroup. How and what Groups play is their decission. And Babymetal gets the same respect. And what shockedvthe most was in fact the point that Momo and Kevin shared the growls. This was a point that the german staff was concious about. They simply demanded from the japanese staff : what can she growl, how can she growl send examples. This made the complete Babymetal theme crazy. But the german team knew what Kevin can do for the Band.

Live performances are best. Babymetal is 14 years old. They were started when the lead singer was 12. They are the creators or Kawaii Metal. They are a fusion of pop with metal. Some songs are more pop and others are instrumentally more metal. They are backed by the Kami Band. 2023 PIA arena performances are awesome as well as Budokan performances. Lead singer is Suzuka or Su-Metal, scream and dance is Moa or Moametal and originally Yui or Yuimetal. Yui left in 2018, and now Momoko or Momometal is the third and youngest member. Momoko and Moa are scream and dance but on rare occasions do sing lead. Performances in Japan are unbelievable for the production value put into the shows. They are also theatrical. "From Dusk till Dawn" is amazing. Others are Megitsune, Road of Resistance, iine, Monochrome, Yava, Maya. The further back you go you will see Yuimetal instead of Momometal. Some may also just have Su-Metal and Moametal. They didn't replace Yuimetal immediately. They use a fox gesture (Kitsune) with there hands. Japanese Fox God Lore with the Metal god created the three Metals of Babymetal. Also named that as when you see early video they were quite young. Only have gotten better with time. 🦊

BABYMETAL is not a girl pop group, not entirely. They are a fusion of j-pop vocals and dance with heavy metal instrumentation. This song is a collab between both groups. BABYMETAL's own original material is much heavier metal than this. Classic metal, thrash metal, power metal, prog metal, and even death metal, BABYMETAL does it all. Although they started out when they were just 11-12 years old, the name BABYMETAL actually has nothing to do with their ages. It has a couple layers of meaning. First, their unique mix of J-pop and metal was a newborn genre that they call "kawaii metal," and BABYMETAL was the first to perform this newborn "baby" genre of music. Second, one of the Japanese words for "heavy" is "bebi," which is pronounced very nearly like the word "baby," so "bebi metal" is literally "heavy metal." By the way, you DO hear one of the ladies scream (or rather growl) in this song. During the breakdown when Kevin (Electric Callboy) is bringing the sparking cables together, you'll hear, "Are you ready?" with an answering, "Are you ready?" The second one, which is the deeper growl, is Momometal (aka Momoko Okazaki), the girl on the left. She also joins Kevin in screaming "Everybody" twice at the end. She is BABYMETAL's newest member and their first growler!
Oh, you should definetely dive into the Babymetal rabbit hole. But where as some will suggest Gimme Chocolate I would suggest to not do that one, cause that is quite a gimmicky song IMHO. One that really took me by suprise is Megitsune and the song The One really gave me goosebumps when I heard it for the first time.

I don't really know much about ECB (although I'm impressed) but Babymetal are actually considerably "harder" than Electric Callboy imo - but here they're deliberately playing up to the cute image and it's intentionally pop like (they've only done a few others with obvious "pop" - but they always blend genres pretty much). For me it's fun as it also reminds me a little of their older stuff when they were young (when they were insanely cute whether they liked it or not 😂). Do look at more of them BUT - they need to be seen LIVE (they're astonishing)- it's what they do - and they're way better (seriously) live. OH - some of the "screaming" here is also done by one of the girls, and I'd GUESS "crash the morning light" means staying up all night pratying/dancing? ECB has got to be worth a look from the little I've seen of them too - but I'm really a BM fan - they made me like music again after about 15 years of feeling jaded.

It's been a long, hard journey for these girls since they hit the scene around 2012-2013. The metal scene doesn't accept new things easily, and the genre-blend they've dubbed as kawaii metal (Idol flavored Jpop mixed with EDM and Progressive Metal) has been highly criticized. Rob Zombie and a few other massively popular metal forefathers have spoke up for the band which has helped but its been rough lol. I mean, they grew up in the scene as young women... and they blazed a new path... so there's no way it was easy for them. Anyways, I'm looking forward to seeing more from you, especially regarding their live shows! Seeing someone go on that journey is like experiencing it for the first time again!

Some people have masked the image and others have left it clean. It's almost like they have intentionally tied up some reactions in copyright claims so that they can let them trickle out slowly and keep the song popping up over and over again as new reactions are released.

@@Abigirl_Reacts What most reactors do is put a big watermark of either your logo or the artist's logo (or group photo covering the whole video) or even just words like "COPYRIGHT" (LOL) with the opacity turned down slightly so you can see through it a tiny bit. But there are some BABYMETAL fan channels that will already have the watermark already done for you, like "Babymetal Reactor Resource" channel. The good thing is that us BABYMETAL fans are used to the watermarks/blurs/etc, so don't worry about needing to cover the music video! What works for some reactors is that they make the video very small, while others will fill the screen but then their upper body covers part of the screen! Also, from my understanding, older songs have less blocking issues especially the older official music videos found on the BABYMETAL RUclips channel...luckily many of the official music videos are pro-shots of their live performances. BABYMETAL is best live because you also get to see them interact with the crowd and the songs are heavier live due to the "Kami Band" that plays for them at live events. Babymetal usually have their own metal band behind them, the "Kami band". These dudes from Japan are heavy a. f. ! You gotta see the whole package and their live shows. Electric callboy are a german metalcore group with two vocalists and their Partycore approach is still heavy, but with lots of fun and they are making ridiculous music videos 😂 . If you like music that blends genres then both bands are something you will like. Electric Callboy mostly blends metal with pop and techno. BabyMetal however I believe can blend anything as long as one of the genres is Metal. People have tried their hardest to put them into genres since the started about 15 years ago. They are their own genre called Kawaii Metal. The One is already here, trying naming a genre you like and see what they advise.
The second "Are you ready" growl comes from 5'3” - 95 LBS Momometal and her famus growl. It's something impressive.

Babymetal are a metal idol group. The combine heavy metal music with J-pop vocals, dance, and aesthetics to create a style they call "kawaii metal" (cute metal). Here's a brief info about this amazing group:
BabyMetal is a Japanese metal dance unit created in 2010 under another Jpop/Jrock group called Sakura Gakuin, they had 11 and 12 years old when started this and become independent after 2013, they created their own genre called kawaii-metal (kawaii means cute) mixing Jpop with metal sound and different subgenres along with many more rhythms. Their name is a reference to a new genre and not related to their ages or "baby" faces, is a pun intended play words with "heavy-metal" which sounds similar to "baby-metal".
They are:
*SuMetal* lead vocalist, now 26.
*MoaMetal* scream and dance, now 24, next July 4th is her birthday.
*MomoMetal* scream and dance, she's 21 and is the new official member since April 1st last year.
-YuiMetal- scream and dance, former member since 2018.
None of them are related.
After 2018 you'll see backup dancers performing along with them but none of them are official members, they don't sing, only dance, but that status change recently like i said.
There's no other group like them around and teaming up with this group from Germany just elevated them even higher.
If you like Jpop and edm elements then you're gonna find a lot of cool songs blended with heavy metal in their latest album "The Other One" released last year. Songs like Divine Attack - Shingeki, METALIZM, Time Wave and Light and Darkness among other great songs as well tracks and live performance from early era will make you bounce and rock with this insane group.
This single reached Number 1 best selling song in the US Billboard rock/metal chart for the first time for both bands!
Last weekend of May they did the live premiere of this song in Japan at FOX_FEST (a festival held by BM) and everyone went wild with this collab, the live version is already out if you don't wanna stop enjoying this song. They played this together once again at Rock Am Ring and the day before at Rock Im Park in Germany twice in the same day, one during EC show and later at BM show.
They already finished the Europe Tour at Resurrection Fest in Spain playing this collab once again in the same stage twice.
The girl in the middle is the lead singer SuMetal and she actually dance less than the other girls (MoaMetal and MomoMetal) because she sings most of the time but regardless she can dance and sing and you won't even notice she's out of breath.
About this song:
This was filmed in Germany and the concept of the MV is they're breaking boundaries with the genres and they don't care about corporation decisions.
The "hips don't lie" is definitely a Shakira reference.
The "Fu Fu" part sounds like Backstreet Boys - Everybody female backing chorus but it's also used in Japanese karaoke as well many others songs.
The "push it to the limit" line it could be an homage to Scarface's movie, another post disco, dance rock song with some guitar elements.
The moment when they're bursting the wall is another homage to Aerosmith x Run DMC - Walk This Way MV, symbolism of breaking the boundaries with the music genres like I already said.
Also one of the singers is holding up the cable with electricity during the breakdown it could be a reference to "The Cable Guy" movie.
When I heard the official audio I thought the second "Are you ready?" chorus was MomoMetal doing the backing growling but they didn't show that in the MV, although later fans spotted in the live performance, so it was her after all as well in the third chorus when singing "Everybody".
There's probably more references but I'm a little bit far away from pop culture nowadays that I'm probably missing a lot more.
Fun fact: EC said in a reactor comment and later at their own reaction video that they did the bursting the walls scene in one shot, there will be a bts so we're waiting for more.
The crew had to put all those disco ball on the celling manually just for this song.
They met each other last year when BM went to see EC live in Boston and they asked them to work together, this is a 50/50 collab song.

Oh you HAVE to check out more of Electric Callboy. This song was all up their alley. Mixing EDM, pop, Metal etc. and fun and well made music videos.
I would suggest their Tekkno Version of "Everytime We Touch" or some of their original songs like "Hypa Hypa", "We got the moves", "Tekkno Train" or "Pump it"
I've seen them live twice this year and their concert was so far the best concert I've been to in my life. They are AMAZING musicians and performers and just really humble, fun and down to earth people

Babymetal specializes in mashing metal together with other genres, making it fun, and doing it perfectly. They are 11/10 metal and fun. Road of Resistance - Live in Japan is my suggestion; it's one of their more iconic early performances, quite metal, and it's right in the center of who they are as a band if that makes any sense.
Their name is a play on words in Japanese, and originated a genre of metal out of Japan. There is just nothing like them, and they are amazing.

They are basically a combination metal/jpop band that has the lyrics and tone of a happy girl jpop group with the hard metal backing of a almost deathcore metal group. The combination is basically Kawaii metal and works VERY well. The amount of metal and rock artists who have happily partnered up with them and admire their sound is pretty insane. They have been embraced by the metal scene completely and have made their own niche.
You'd defeinitely enjoy.
The Japanese metal rabbit hole is more like a vortex. Band-maid, Lovebites, Bridear, Nemophila, Hanabie, and on and on--if you dive in, you many never return.

People who don't know BABYMETAL might think that they are a Pop group that collaborated with a Metal band here, but that's not quite right. As the name suggests, they are a Metal group in their own right, but they fuse all sorts of genres with Metal. I don't know much about Electric Callboy, but I think that this song is pretty much what one would expect from them musically. So both of these bands are actually Metal + X even on their own.
If I were to recommend a BABYMETAL song that has a pretty Japanese edge to it, I would choose "Megitsune" (an older song from their first album) or "Metali" (a pretty new single). But you can't go wrong with any song, there are no duds in their catalogue. In general, you should always choose live versions of their songs, because they are such a uniquely entertaining live band (you'll see), but Megitsune is one of the cases where I would go with the official MV (first).

Great first reaction. I've been trying to leave you some information about BABYMETAL, the YT bots are making my comment disappear again.
Although this is a straight collaboration between the two bands it is very much in the Electric Callboy style. You won't have seen or heard anything quite like BABYMETAL.
They have nearly 70 songs now, each one different to the last - some are good hard metal, some lean towards their pop roots, they do everything in between and they will also mix and blend in so many other musical styles and genres with the metal.
You want to see BABYMETAL doing metal? Jump in at the deep end with 'BABYMETAL Death' live at Legend 1997 (actually in December 2013 - lead singer Su-metal was born in 1997, see how they celebrated her 16th birthday).

The energy and entertainment level of both of their live shows is unparalleled (except for each other). Last September I was lucky enough to see both bands in Denver at two separate shows. Too bad they weren't playing together but two amazing shows is great! When EC played Boston they invited BM to visit/hand with them and there formed the foundation for this epic experience!

I fortunately witnessed the live debut and the second performance of RATATATA by BABYMETAL and Electric Callboy together in the two-day Fox_Fest on May 25 / 26 in Japan. Fun, happy, exhilarating, bubbly... Those words I could think of, as you can imagine. There were many mosh / circle pits over there 😄. On Day-1, the girls and Nico / Kevin hugged each other (then group hug) to celebrate the success of the live debut (heartwarming!!)

Funny you should mention that, before Momo joined, all metal screams/death growls were performed by an unknown background vocalist or whichever band collaborated with them. But this, "Metali" (Live version) as well as their "Legend MM" tour (Where I believe she did some of the screams live) showcased Momo's willingness to be the "Scream/Growler" of the trio which I'm fully f**king down for! It's making me hyped for a new album. Their producer also hinted in an article on a japanese magazine at this as well and the girls themselves in another article praised Momo's ability

Fun reaction. This song is more in the Electric Callboy style, but BABYMETAL are so versatile they can do pretty much whatever style and match up with whoever they are collaborating with.
BABYMETAL mix things up even more than Electric Callboy. You won't have seen or heard anything quite like them. They are original and unique. Their official videos are all very good, but they are one of the best live bands and they need to be seen and heard live to even begin to understand what they are really about.
The name BABYMETAL is not about their ages (even though they were only 12 and 11 when they formed 14 years ago in 2010). It is a pun - Babymetal and Heavy Metal are written and pronounced almost exactly the same in Japanese. Also the baby part is about the birth of a new genre as they pioneered their own metal sub-genre fusing metal with J-Pop melodies and introduced choreographed dance to metal - but not choreo as you may know it from pop acts etc, BABYMETAL's choreo is bespoke for each song, it helps with interpreting the meaning of the song or a lyric, but most importantly it involves and includes the crowd).
They have gone on to mix and blend so many more styles with the metal.
They have gone from playing shopping malls for free, singing and dancing to pre-recorded instrumentals, wearing borrowed clothes, to being the first Japanese band ever to headline Wembley Arena, the first Asian band to have an album at number 1 in the US Billboard hard Rock charts. They were 18 and 17 when they sold out the Tokyo Dome 2 nights running (55,000 people each night).
They performed 'Painkiller' and 'Breaking The law' with Rob Halford from Judas Priest, they have opened for or toured with Metallica, Guns n Roses, Korn and Stone Sour and many more and had some big name bands open for and tour with them.

Babymetal is one of the most polished acts in music today. As every Babymetal fan will tell you they are to be experienced live and especially their shows from Japan. If you like a mix of genres then Babymetal maybe for you, not only will they mix genres but cultures as well. The "Foxhole is deep and there is so much to find down there so if you check out a song and don't like it try another, I have seen so many reactors write them of after one listen and comeback and realize how entertaining they are.

Electric Callboy is a wonderfully fun mix of 80s pop, 2000s-modern EDM, and metalcore. Every video is a delight (most of them shot by the guitarist Pascal & his brother‘s production company) and they’re also outstanding live - seen them 4 times. If you want to hear them do pop and delicious screams with a sense of humor, Every Time We Touch, Pump It, and We Got The Moves are classic next stops. On the more serious side, Mindreader and Parasite both slap. Enjoy the rabbit hole! It’s full of infinite good energy ⚡️

Liked your reaction a lot. Some info about Electric Callboy: They are a Metalcore/Electronicore band made of six Members. They were formed in 2010 in the city of Castrop-Rauxel in Germany under the name "Eskimo Callboy" and take themselves not too seriously. They changed their name to "Electric" after they learned that the first part of their original bands name is problematic and is used as a derogatory name for Inuit and Yupik people of the Arctic. They tend to create hilarious music videos which are almost all produced by the Schillo brothers (Pascal Schillo, a guitarist of the band and his brother Oliver (not a band member) who own a video production company). Most of their songs are about partying and having a good time, but they have some more serious stuff in their catalogue also. They blend Metalcore with EDM, Techno, Pop, Disco and sometimes even Rap music which lead to their very unique style that their fans call "Partycore". There are two main vocalists in the band: Nico Sallach (clean vocals) and Kevin Ratajczak (harsh vocals). Nico prefers the clean singing with his amazing voice and Kevin is more into the harsh vocals but both can do both vocal styles and back each other up if needed.
If you'd like to check them out I would recommend "Hypa Hypa" (and maybe the 7 covers by several German bands and artists of different music genres from Pop to Country) ,"We got the Moves", "Pump it", "Spaceman" (ft. German rapper Finch), "Everytime we touch" (Cascada cover) or "Tekkno Train". A special one is "Hurrikan" with some German lyrics at the beginning which is seen as the musical middle-finger to the German ESC board for rejecting their application to the ESC (European Song Contest). For the more serious songs it would be "Hate/Love", "Parasite" or "Mindreader" . Another great collab of Electric Callboy would be "FCKBOI" with the all-female metalband Conquer Divide (5 women from the US, UK and Canada).

The video focusses more on Kevin and Nico (the two vocalists) and the four instrumentalists (Daniel "Danskimo" Haniß (lead guitar), Pascal Schillo (rythem guitar), Daniel Klosse (bass), David Friedrich( drums)) are more in the background, but yes they are a band of six and they are all in the video.

One thing regarding Babymetal. They started VERY young, at 12 and 11 years old. From 2010 to 2017 they were just kids doing amazing stuff. Really amazing stuff. In 2018 one of the girls had left and Babymetal was not really the same any more. They tried with two girls and they tried with several girls acting as the third girl, but without microphone. They experimented and made some few good songs like Papaya and BxMxC. They did some more that not is my style, like Monochrome and Metal Kingdom. In 2023 they decided that one of the temporary girls should officially be a part of Babymetal. The girls are, of course, now fully grown ups and they have to do it differently. They are singing some of the early songs, some of the in between songs and also some new ones. The new ones are almost only collaborations. Like this one.

And borh groups wete founded 2010, so Su was just 12 and Moa and Yui 10.. they were created since their Manager wad an old Metalhead and he recognized that zhe japanese Metal faced Problems. Fans and Musicians were only Boys snd got older from year to year. Since he was the best Handler of Amuse he had no Problem to find girls for the job. And he uded them as his planned performers as well as examples for the prey he wanted to find (young girls).But in general he had trouble to find his prey he needed in fact parents that were intereszed in metal, since very fww people would bring their children younger than 8 to a metal concert. Now 14 years after their founding they were quite shoked that the small girls are now there. Especially in their japanese shows. They attract about 40% female Fans and all ages between 5 and 85. And what was essential for Babymetal their concept worked in Europe and the USA. Many Metalfans had trouble finding Concerts where their girlfriends would be interested. Babymetal worked. In 2014 they were first send to a british festival and these 16 and 14 year old tiny girls rocked 50.000 music fans. Europe had female metal bands for decades. While we don't have anything like the idol industry the instruments of the Bands were never used to determine what a band is. I would advice you to not describe them as a Popgroup, especially Moa might take this very personal. And this is what Babymetal and Electric Callboy do, they mix genres. I Germany no one would have any trouble to describe Electric Callboy as a RockGroup. How and what Groups play is their decission. And Babymetal gets the same respect. And what shockedvthe most was in fact the point that Momo and Kevin shared the growls. This was a point that the german staff was concious about. They simply demanded from the japanese staff : what can she growl, how can she growl send examples. This made the complete Babymetal theme crazy. But the german team knew what Kevin can do for the Band.
Kevin's screams are sick and I heard the girls now too but in the moment I think I was focused on the guys. Can't wait to hear more!

Live performances are best. Babymetal is 14 years old. They were started when the lead singer was 12. They are the creators or Kawaii Metal. They are a fusion of pop with metal. Some songs are more pop and others are instrumentally more metal. They are backed by the Kami Band. 2023 PIA arena performances are awesome as well as Budokan performances. Lead singer is Suzuka or Su-Metal, scream and dance is Moa or Moametal and originally Yui or Yuimetal. Yui left in 2018, and now Momoko or Momometal is the third and youngest member. Momoko and Moa are scream and dance but on rare occasions do sing lead. Performances in Japan are unbelievable for the production value put into the shows. They are also theatrical. "From Dusk till Dawn" is amazing. Others are Megitsune, Road of Resistance, iine, Monochrome, Yava, Maya. The further back you go you will see Yuimetal instead of Momometal. Some may also just have Su-Metal and Moametal. They didn't replace Yuimetal immediately. They use a fox gesture (Kitsune) with there hands. Japanese Fox God Lore with the Metal god created the three Metals of Babymetal. Also named that as when you see early video they were quite young. Only have gotten better with time. 🦊

This is quite an unusual video for BABYMETAL, they either feature live shows or are pretty serious😅 Since BABYMETAL are all about live experience, my tip is, always look for their shows and live stuff 😊, very theatrical.

BABYMETAL is not a girl pop group, not entirely. They are a fusion of j-pop vocals and dance with heavy metal instrumentation. This song is a collab between both groups. BABYMETAL's own original material is much heavier metal than this. Classic metal, thrash metal, power metal, prog metal, and even death metal, BABYMETAL does it all. Although they started out when they were just 11-12 years old, the name BABYMETAL actually has nothing to do with their ages. It has a couple layers of meaning. First, their unique mix of J-pop and metal was a newborn genre that they call "kawaii metal," and BABYMETAL was the first to perform this newborn "baby" genre of music. Second, one of the Japanese words for "heavy" is "bebi," which is pronounced very nearly like the word "baby," so "bebi metal" is literally "heavy metal." By the way, you DO hear one of the ladies scream (or rather growl) in this song. During the breakdown when Kevin (Electric Callboy) is bringing the sparking cables together, you'll hear, "Are you ready?" with an answering, "Are you ready?" The second one, which is the deeper growl, is Momometal (aka Momoko Okazaki), the girl on the left. She also joins Kevin in screaming "Everybody" twice at the end. She is BABYMETAL's newest member and their first growler!

Oh, you should definetely dive into the Babymetal rabbit hole. But where as some will suggest Gimme Chocolate I would suggest to not do that one, cause that is quite a gimmicky song IMHO. One that really took me by suprise is Megitsune and the song The One really gave me goosebumps when I heard it for the first time.

I found Ren and NF within a year of each other and while I was being broken down by their messages (and put back together obviously) I relied heavily on EC to keep me sane and smiling :) Babymetal did a collab with Bring Me The Horizon called Kingslayer which is also epic, by the way. Also Electric Callboy welcomes reactors, you only need to dispute and their team will whitelist you.
My disputes sadly always get rejected by EC's label. I tried contacting them directly with no response. =(
Great reaction and welcome! I don't really know much about ECB (although I'm impressed) but Babymetal are actually considerably "harder" than Electric Callboy imo - but here they're deliberately playing up to the cute image and it's intentionally pop like (they've only done a few others with obvious "pop" - but they always blend genres pretty much). For me it's fun as it also reminds me a little of their older stuff when they were young (when they were insanely cute whether they liked it or not 😂). Do look at more of them BUT - they need to be seen LIVE (they're astonishing)- it's what they do - and they're way better (seriously) live. OH - some of the "screaming" here is also done by one of the girls, and I'd GUESS "crash the morning light" means staying up all night pratying/dancing?
ECB has got to be worth a look from the little I've seen of them too - but I'm really a BM fan - they made me like music again after about 15 years of feeling jaded.
Cool thing I have gotten so many comments regarding both bands that I'm positive my next few videos will be fun both of them. Just gotta decide which ones to do haha ty for the lovely comment ^_^

It warms my heart to see people discovering BM for the first time. It's been a long, hard journey for these girls since they hit the scene around 2012-2013.
The metal scene doesn't accept new things easily, and the genre-blend they've dubbed as kawaii metal (Idol flavored Jpop mixed with EDM and Progressive Metal) has been highly criticized.
Rob Zombie and a few other massively popular metal forefathers have spoke up for the band which has helped but its been rough lol.
I mean, they grew up in the scene as young women... and they blazed a new path... so there's no way it was easy for them.
Anyways, I'm looking forward to seeing more from you, especially regarding their live shows! Seeing someone go on that journey is like experiencing it for the first time again!

@@Abigirl_Reacts People have produced Babymetal watermarks to put over the image to deal with the copyright issues. It has also seemed to be rather random enforcement with this release. Some people have masked the image and others have left it clean. It's almost like they have intentionally tied up some reactions in copyright claims so that they can let them trickle out slowly and keep the song popping up over and over again as new reactions are released.

BABYMETAL is a Japanese kawaii (cute) metal group (a metal subgenre that they created) that formed in 2010 when the 3 girls were 11-12 years old (yes, they were very young), and since then have performed with, toured with, or opened for Metallica, Korn, Sabaton, Bring Me The Horizon, Dragonforce, Guns N' Roses, Lady Gaga, Rob Halford of Judas Priest (there's a great youtube video of their performance with Rob at a metal award show), and Red Hot Chili Peppers (there is a youtube video of them performing Gimme Chocolate with RHCP, as well as with Korn, and DragonForce), to name a few of many. They have performed at large metal events/concerts in front of 65,000+ skeptical metalheads in Europe (Download, Sonisphere, Glastonbury, etc), US, and Asia. They are the first Japanese band to perform at Wembley arena in the UK. Also, 20+ awards have been given to them. They have 60+ songs and each one is different from the other, so I hope you give the other songs a try. @@Abigirl_Reacts What most reactors do is put a big watermark of either your logo or the artist's logo (or group photo covering the whole video) or even just words like "COPYRIGHT" (LOL) with the opacity turned down slightly so you can see through it a tiny bit. But there are some BABYMETAL fan channels that will already have the watermark already done for you, like "Babymetal Reactor Resource" channel. The good thing is that us BABYMETAL fans are used to the watermarks/blurs/etc, so don't worry about needing to cover the music video! What works for some reactors is that they make the video very small, while others will fill the screen but then their upper body covers part of the screen! Also, from my understanding, older songs have less blocking issues especially the older official music videos found on the BABYMETAL RUclips channel...luckily many of the official music videos are pro-shots of their live performances. BABYMETAL is best live because you also get to see them interact with the crowd and the songs are heavier live due to the "Kami Band" that plays for them at live events. Please do not hesitate to ask ANY questions about BABYMETAL in your comments or videos, and there is a subreddit for BABYMETAL too and a discord (you can find through the subreddit) where everyone is helpful and supportive of reactors. 🤘🦊🤘

Babymetal usually have their own metal band behind them, the "Kami band". These dudes from Japan are heavy a. f. ! You gotta see the whole package and their live shows.
Electric callboy are a german metalcore group with two vocalists and their Partycore approach is still heavy, but with lots of fun and they are making ridiculous music videos 😂 . Please do yourself a favour and try both of these amazing groups!

Just because I think they have the most "WTF just happened" impact when you have not yet seen any of the other bands as it makes you even less prepared :D They are not the most popular band on the list, but reactions to them are always a winner.
The lyrics are in the description (like in most Electric Callboy videos). BabyMetal (from Japan as you already recognized) mixes J-Pop with hard metal instrumentals and performs choreographed dancing (genre: "kawai metal"). Electric Callboy (from Germany) mixes EDM, metal, and pop (genre: "party core" 😉) and have hilarious videos. They take their music seriously, but not themselves.

If you like music that blends genres then both bands are something you will like. Electric Callboy mostly blends metal with pop and techno. BabyMetal however I believe can blend anything as long as one of the genres is Metal. People have tried their hardest to put them into genres since the started about 15 years ago. They are their own genre called Kawaii Metal. The One is already here, trying naming a genre you like and see what they advise.
Sounds like me trying to put Falling in Reverse into a box. You just can't do it. Their genre's are everywhere!
