It was the third take for Pau to get that Creep cover, it was a challenge during the pandemia I think, the Dull knives shows a little bit of the way they compose all their songs, most of them begin with Pau at the piano, the Dany and Ale joins, once they get a song the include the instruments. I can't define a favorite of that, I love seeing Dany in other music style, as well as the feeling of Pau's Creep cover, then Dull knives show both raw talent.

Both Tati and Courtney are little monsters. Quick point though, they had some issues on Tati's mic levels for this performance. All the mixing/mastering stuff is done by bassist Josh Gilbert(formally of As I Lay Dying) and AFAIK he really had to pull and boost her audio levels to put this together. So that's why Tati's voice seems very gated and compressed, especially the screams, almost like adding another layer to her already amazing screams .

You should do more of their stripped down stuff. I know you did the acoustic versions of the Queen of the Murder Scene songs. But on this last tour they did a few shows with acoustic versions of songs from Keep Me Fed. I know one show was in England, and at least one radio show where they played acoustic in the parking lot.

She knows what the band needs from the rhythm section. She does a perfect rhythm section with Fami who also doesn't play much solo. Their music is serious, not for fun. Fancy shows of rhythm section spoil good music in total, doesn't need fancy shows of rhythm section but steady and good supporting work in background. Haruna's tecknique and sense of music is just supreme for the total sound. Her sophisticated fills of tom toms, cymbals and bells are perfect to support total sound of the band, and that is what she has to do and what she is doing, and what makes Lovebites supreme.

All 3 were amazing, but Daniela’s cover of “my future” made me shed tears 🥹🥹🥹 I hadn’t heard that song until my daughter alerted me to Daniela’s cover. It’s in my opinion a gem. For your own enjoyment, since you've now already covered this song...You should check out the Teatro Metro version. The arrangement is different and it does include the whole band...For the record, I think this version from the Pepsi Center is the definitive version, and the one you should have done, if you are only going to do one. But the other one is different enough that it's worth a watch...maybe even it's own reaction. This one is so raw. Dani is on the verge of tears the entire 1st half and that really draws you in. These girls are really the best.

It would be hands down Dull Knives for me, if for no other reason than it is the best song out of the three.

That rendition of Dull Knives gives you some insight on their writing process. Pau starts most of their songs on the piano, so they begin sounding very much like this until the different instruments are added in.

Pau makes you look inside at those dark moments. Dany makes you look outside at what we can overcome. They each have their way of dragging you into feeling something intense. Ale just reminds you to stay cool and enjoy the ride. It's gonna be intense at times, but she's there as your Morpheus to guide you. They each have their part in our souls, which makes them special.

These young ladies are super talented. I'm sure you know that Dull Knives is an original of theirs from the XXI Century Blood album. Just thought I'd mention it. And it's dull knives that is my fave from these three performances. Pau's piano playing is unearthly and it's a glimpse into how she composes The Warning songs on piano. Dany's powerful voice and her emotion that she puts into it is fantastic.

I lean towards "Dull Knives" mostly because it's one of my faves live for the band. Ale and Pau always connect in one part of the song where they jump on a note together. You can see Pau here with Dany going "boom" in that same spot.

Late comment/info about that mouth trumpet sound: He's portraying a troubadour/bard so he's preparing for his performance with, what are also known as, lip trills or semi-occluded vocal warm-up techniques. Then he gives a little cough to clear his throat & he's ready. Ren = details. Of course, playing mouth trumpet is also just fun & I've seen him do it in a couple other performances.
