I have a question, does anyone know if surface plants increase Ph? I have some aquariums and i cant lower the ph by any means. I suspect the plants to be increasing it since I have a lot of plants in them.

Old question, sorry, but I read one time that over time the pH of the water will lower and it will also lower overnight with the lights off because of plants doing their thing and exchanging gas and using nutrients while at rest. It goes back up during the day - now this is what I read and i dont understand any of that.
