I can honestly say that the Final Fantasy VII Remake is the only game that I’ve played not just twice, but 6 times in the same year.
I don’t know what it is about it, but I absolutely love this game.

I love ffxv so much sad how it was just an experimentation rat for square. No complains about the character development for the 4 bros though that was well done but the gameplay perspective and few plot decision were really disappointing.
Noctis has so much potential, I hope one day we get that versus remake or some kind of spin off involving him.

So alternate/alive Zack is in the main timeline where Aerith did die, while the 5 mains are in the alternate timeline they made?
But Zack visits the church after his battle with the Shinra soldiers, which happened before Aerith's death.
this version of Zack has always survived, so it will never be in the main timeline, if anything he still has the sword that is to say that the others have come out of nowhere in his reality, where theoretically all the events of FF 7 should have gone in different way if he survives, there are ghosts but there is no reason to think that it is the same night as the attack, so maybe in FF 7 remake Zack has always been alive, and all were flashbacks with events that will simply change the past from that point to when Cloud starts the game on the train, indeed in that case Zack may already be dead and have given his sword to Cloud but in a different context

This is a DLC, you get to play with Yuffie, it's about 4-5 hours long and the events happen before the fall of the plate in sector 7.
DLC exclusive to PS5
Unfortunatelly this dlc is Exclusive for PS5... if you have PS4 you can't Play it..

Yea, they did an incredible job on Remake. Reopened all the nostalgia I had for the game when I was 13. I love how they expanded on the possibilities. It's like playing a new story where I don't know anymore. It's wonderful
Because the original was bitter and had more mature themes.
The remake is like the Disney version of the original were everything too dark is replaced with more childish themes.
Like the Honey Bee being a club now instead of a prostitution place. Certains characters not dying and now even changing the fate of certains characters in order multi universes ( Zack )
So many questions when watch this scene... square enix cinematic universe (SECU)? multiverse?
At first I thought these were Sector 7 refugees. But if so, why is the church in perfect shape? Last we had access to the church, the wooden cross section was broken and under rubble. This is a complete different timeline. It is also before the events of FF7. I guess Aerith must have died somewhere in this reality. This will be Zack's revenge fuel against Sephiroth while Cloud's is partially Zack's and partially Aerith's death.
We also know Sephiroth too can go in between realms. Remember the section where Sephiroth offers Cloud to join forces. That was between realms (Seph mentioned something like "Where everything started and will end").
So all in all my guess is Cloud and Zack will join forces sometime in the future to fight Sephiroth together. This will happen in an area where we fought Sephiroth and Arbiter of Fate, a land between time and space.
Another theory of mine is, we'll either play as Zack as a DLC in Part 2 or Part 2 will have chapters with Cloud and Zack. Perhaps Zack will only enter the story significantly in Part 3. I wish they existed in the same timeline or dimension where they could see each other but I don't think this is the case. Zack and Cloud walking in opposite directions was key scene here as well as the team walking into a portal and coming back out in Midgar again.
What I don't understand is, will Zack being alive have any significant importance on the main story or is this just a way of Nomura telling us: "Well you always wanted a different approach to 7. Here are multiple ways things could go. Each as grim as the other."
One final note too though: Everyone mentions Zack's timeline is in a different dimension based on the STAMP logo. But I am pretty sure the same logo exists in INTERgrade. In Sector 5 slums, if you go through the pipe to where kids are sitting as a class and a teacher tells them about STAMP, you can see the drawing is the same as the one we saw in Zack's cutscene. So my guess is the OG Stamp logo we claim to know is just an iteration of Briggs to lead Avalanche and nothing special.
I don't know, sorry if my thoughts are convoluted and my writing is difficult to follow. I just finished intergrade and am very hyped to see what's next. Never played OG FF7 but Zack was my favorite hero which I actually cried at his death scene. My mind is going apeshit right now.
In FF7 1997, Sephiroth's motives are clear and the game has a completely linear plot. However, in FF7 Remake, SE has made the plot more ambiguous and non-linear, more suitable for game development now. That means there will be many events and changes in the plot.
However, one theory that my friend and I both agree and can happen in FF7 Remake, then the final villain in the game will be Jenova. If you love FF7 and have played through FF7 1997 and watched the movie Advent Children. We will learn that Sephiroth tried to manipulate Cloud to kill Aerith in FF7 1997, and Kadaj manipulated the children to fight Cloud in Advent Children. The two have one thing in common, Cloud was implanted with Sephiroth's genes by Hojo after the events of Nibelheim, which was revealed in the FF 7 Crisis Core game. And in Advent Children Kadaj mixed his cells with water for the children to drink.
So there is a huge possibility that Jenova is lurking somewhere on the planet, using her body as a bait for Shinra, using her own cells to create an army and control them, and the events happening in FF7 Remake are under his control. It is possible that Sephiroth knew about this, and Aerith was shown scenarios by "Planet" and warned them of danger ahead.
In FF7, when people die, their souls return to the Lifestream. Zack's appearance at the end of the ending may have been "Planet" that brought Zack back from the Lifestream with some sort of mission, of course Zack is dead, but now he exists in a different form, possibly similar to Kadaj in FF7 Advent Children.
However, these are just my and my friends' arguments about FF7 Remake, what happens ahead may be very different and more surprising, we will continue to wait.

The appearance of Zack, the confirmed dead character in FF7 Crisis Core, is a huge change to the main plot, along with the changes in the game, the visions Cloud witnessed. So my friend and I were just thinking about a possibility of the plot being much expanded than FF7 1997, so we discussed and hypothesized the above.
Maybe we're too sensitive, but I'm really looking forward to what might happen in the future.

Then the final three way battle Cloud, Zack, vs uncle Sephiroth, lets add some god mode st to this theory, to truly defeat uncle Seph one needs to absorb Sephiroth's core and the other his will.
I cam see them milking this franchise for the next 20 or so years by that time I'll be in my 60s lol.
@@hyjuta8416 I would guess Sephiroth's motives are clear, he needs Cloud, is Cloud going to have to choose between Seph and Aerith absolutely, based on player choices, is og narrative still achievable in remake, I guess it is, if I was a game creator I would have multiple endings to FFVIIr.
Achieve og ending, narrative path for the purist, or side with either Aerith or choose to help Sephiroth in remake, Omega and Supernova to me has always been a end game scenario of FFVII, evil prevail. Instead of Redemption it's Salvation redeeming Sephiroth to be the hero, and making Aerith the enemy what a twist that would be and no one would of saw it coming, lol.
Even better wouldn't it be good to make Aerith the last Cetra the final boss as a Jenova specimen lol that would be funny seeing everyone's reaction.
Whatever they do, they can do whatever, I couldn't careless for the og game now, it's good but it is outdated and needs a updated version, I hope they don't make it into a fkg shipping game, for the shippers. 🤬

Did I just miss it? I know I went to the toilet for some time but all I heard was the credits theme. Afterwards, there was some explanation re: chapters and new difficulty.

The thing I'm mainly confused about is how is there 2 buster swords now?
There's two timelines now. One where Zack survived and the other one where he didn't. The one where Zack survived might have a different outcome for Cloud. He might still start a merc business but this time with Zack. The timeline where
Cloud is currently travelling with Tifa and the rest is the timeline where Zack didn't survive.
@@HHung-pg3iw I get the 2 timelines thing but still you start with the buster sword and you can clearly see Zack also has the buster sword at the end of this cinematic. Assuming this is the timeline where Zack lives, it still makes no sense why he would have the buster sword when somehow cloud is using it at the beginning of the remake. As far as anyone has ever known there has only been one buster sword from Angeals family

The one with Zack? No it was either a parallel timeline where Zack survived or Zack somehow came back to life after the defeat of the Whispers in the ending of the first part.

He did in the original continuation, but because of what we did to the arbiter of fate and all we done in remake, we can now (I think) change fate now, so Zack surviving is part of the change of fate likely making a new timeline, but that will be explaned later in later installments of the new continuation.

Por que? Por ser apenas a primeira parte de um todo? Se for o caso, mesmo assim o jogo te passa a sensação de um jogo completo e bem feito, pelo menos umas 40 horas do jogo base e + umas 4 horas da DLC, coisa que muito jogo nem proporciona isso hoje em dia, além de vir todo quebrado.

@@Dunhovisques Quanto a mudança do jogo eu acho que vai de gosto, entendo quem não curtiu, eu pessoalmente curti as mudanças sutis até aquela mudança total no final do jogo, o que abre janela pra muita coisa nova com personagens que gosto bastante.
Agora, o conteúdo do jogo, apesar de ser parte 1, o jogo em si proporciona entretenimento suficiente por todas as 40-50 horas dele, sem encheção de linguiça demais, apenas expandindo personagens. O exemplo mais clássico é o Biggs, Wedge e a Jessie que se tornaram um dos meus favoritos, antes desse remake eles eram pra mim apenas referências em outros jogos da série. Eu acho sim que o jogo é bem honesto no que ele se propõe, tudo bem que eu gostaria que tivesse a duração de um Xenoblade Chronicles com mais de 100 horas ou um Persona 5 da vida que dura a mesma quantidade de horas.
Mas acho mesmo que o jogo vale o full price (não a versão de PC que veio custando 350 reais, nesse caso incentivo a pirataria ou que esperem um desconto) foram bem claros que ia dividir o jogo em partes antes de mais nada, e pra mim antes isso do que esperar mais 1 década para lançar um jogo de sei lá... 60 horas com um desenvolvimento esquisito, mas vai de cada um. E filme, devo mencionar que já vem com essa prática de dividir em partes já faz muito tempo, então não é nada novo numa indústria grande dessas. Desculpa o textão, só tentei deixar claro minha opinião e tinha uma dúvida genuína sobre a sua afirmação anterior.

When I think about all the useless unessesary lines of dialogue in this game, I relieses someone had to painstakingly animate all of that shit. Barrett is the worst for this. Almost nothing he says is relevant.

@Isabella Nguyen Barret was always written this way. Brushing away certain things, taking heart into others. It's not as out of his character as you think.
It depends on what you think/ prefer writing is, but this non sense is part of what makes the characters fleshed out more.
We're often talking to say nothing, venting, screaming, taking heart into useless stuff, and being incoherent.
Also, in this case, the big difference is that the game has far more time and power than the original game. While in the OG, every dialogues must had their purpose as it was an over 30h game and much less way to express character emotion than over exagerrated animation and dialogues, they had to be efficient in their writing.
Here you have a 30h (around that much) and it's only the very first part of the original game as we haven't even reach the end of the first cd there was for the og game (it had 3). And the emotion is far simpler to express with facial expressions, animation, voice acting,... so obviously they took their time and added "useless" interactions as a mean :
1 : make the game longer
2 : make the characters more fleshed ou by making interact on seemingly "useless" stuff.
Because whether you like it or not, what they're giving us here is our only way to get to know these characters.

Why do I find the new Aerith so annoying? And why am I calling Aeris Aerith? Did anyone else find the new materia system and the lack of decent combos compared to the original disappointing, or was it just me? And yes, I still hate doing Squat Thrusts.
