@spidergoose891 A very bad wheel alignment could indeed cause your vehicle's steering to be off-center, but it's unlikely to directly trigger a warning light unless it's causing other issues like uneven tire wear or affecting the vehicle's stability control system. However, it's always a good idea to have your alignment checked and corrected to ensure your vehicle is safe to drive.
@spidergoose891 Here's what you should do: 👉 Monitor the warning light: Keep an eye on the ESC warning light. If it comes back on, it indicates that there might be another issue. 👉 Check for other symptoms: Pay attention to any other changes in your vehicle's performance, such as strange noises, vibrations, or difficulty steering.
@cahpintermail A stability control fault warning could be triggered by various issues, including wheel alignment problems, but it's not always the only cause. While a wheel alignment might help
@juansaldanaponce8826 Driving with the Electronic Stability Control (ESC) light on can be safe in some situations but poses risks depending on the underlying cause. Here are a few key points to consider: 👉 Minor Issue: If the ESC light is on due to a minor issue, such as a temporary sensor glitch or a simple calibration error, the car might still be drivable under normal conditions. However, caution is still advised. 👉 Malfunction: If the ESC system has a malfunction, the car's ability to handle slippery roads or sudden turns may be compromised. ESC helps maintain control during skids and loss of traction, so without it, the risk of losing control increases, especially in adverse weather conditions. 👉 Other Indicators: If the ESC light is on along with other warning lights (like the ABS light), it indicates a more significant problem that could affect your vehicle's safety systems. In such cases, it's best to get your vehicle checked immediately. 👉 Driving Conditions: Avoid driving in conditions that require maximum stability and control, such as icy, snowy, or wet roads, if your ESC light is on. ✅ Recommended Actions: 👉 Check the Manual: Refer to your vehicle's owner manual for specific guidance related to the ESC warning light. 👉 Get it Checked: Have your vehicle inspected by a professional mechanic to diagnose and fix the issue as soon as possible. 👉 Drive Cautiously: If you must drive, do so with extra caution, avoiding sudden maneuvers and high speeds. 📍 In summary, while it might be safe to drive short distances with the ESC light on, it's crucial to address the issue promptly to ensure your vehicle's safety features are fully operational.

I have the lights on but no codes. Could a very bad wheel alignment trigger this? Had to hold my wheel 45° to the right to go straight.

@@Dashboardwarninglights it was the alignment. I did an alignment and took it for a test drive. Lights cleared themselves after a couple miles.

Hi, this is the same problem with my car. No codes but it shows stability control fault. Is the wheel alignment solve the problem?
