Great reaction! You should react to a live Oasis performance which is where they are at their best, rock and roll star or cigarettes & alcohol would be my recommendations!
This is the song of their's that everyone knows world-wide and is like a drunk national anthem of the uk 🤣. Highly recommend checking them out live ....Oasis-Live forever (Live at Maine road) ruclips.net/video/SLYmJwiImoY/видео.htmlsi=8KNPGxzZv7Vfaj2Q
Good stuff! You should check out U2 with Pavarotti "Miss Sarajevo". Pavarotti crushes it at the end. Bono was so nervous to have to sing in the same song as the great Opera singer (Bono's dad loved opera and sung a bit and introduced Bono to it at a young age).
I love oasis. They are my favorite band and have over 100 amazing songs. But wonderwall is definitely the most popular, not the best but the most known. As for the meaning of the song. There was a movie called wonderwall and a soundtrack album by the same name that was written by george Harrison which Noel watched when he was younger. In the movie this very boring guy, living a pretty shifty life, lives next to a eccentric hippy chick who he spies on through a hole in the wall. This wall basically takes him out of his world and into hers. So theoretically speaking noel uses the word wonderwall to mean someone who will take you away from all the troubles in your life and brings you into a more exciting better life. Hence " maybe you'll be the one that saves me, cause after all you're my wonderwall "....highly suggest listening to slide away but the acoustic version with noel singing. Noel is the lead guitarist, backing vocals, co-producer, composer and lyricists of all of oasis memorable songs and their first 3 albums. He also plays bass, rhythm guitar, drums on occasion. He is the big brother of the lead singer you see here. I personally prefer his voice to liams but understand that liams voice is definitely powerful and unique so completely understand why a lot of people love his voice.
You have a very nice speaking voice and your commentary had great insight. This is one of the only songs I know the lyrics to, haha. I usually only focus on the music. This song is a masterclass in songwriting. I think my favourite Oasis song has to be Half The World Away.
Wonderwall was a 1968 movie soundtrack written by George Harrison. Oasis were Beatles fans and Liam even named his son Lennon. They were signed to Creation Records by Alan McGee based on their amazing live performance of I Am The Walrus. The best current music show on British TV Later... organised a wonderful live performance of Walrus in 1994 with a classical string section - possibly better than the Beatles original; maybe? if you want to react to a funny music video, you should try "Noel Gallagher reacts to oasis videos" and listen in joy as he doesn't understand a single video or know what the hell is going on. The funniest 20 mins you'll see.
Yeah most music videos are not really good done for explaining lyrics or meaning but rather keeping your eye and attention. That’s why a director does it and not the band. So I never watch a music video and expect a logical meaning between the lyrics and the video. Duran Duran was the best at this and the video rarely had any significance with the meaning of the song. It’s suppose to be cool, attractive, and have the ability to keep ya watching until the end of the song!
the guy playing bass in the video, was a replacement (as the original bass had a mental breakdown and needed a break, the band was kind of mad) and as oasis was heading to new York to play on letterman said he wanted to quit as he missed his girlfriend. Which led noel (lead guitarist) to say we are either the biggest bunch of cunts in the world or his bird was really fit. Don't think he did anything in music after this.
Nice breakdown of the music! Most people try to break down the lyrics, which are so simple that they don’t merit a break down 👍
Thank you so much!

Thank you! And those are now on my list!

It is our national anthem! :D

I'll add it to my list! Thanks!
My favourite band ever. You should listen to their songs Acquiesce and Live Forever. Without a doubt their best.

You should react to their single "Whatever", lot of violins, literally

Anyway here's a wonderwall reaction
You are the only commenter so far that has noticed that!!

Actually not a real cello on the record. It’s done on a Mellotron.
Ive always thought the singer is out of tune throughout thd song, what do you think?
I think the flat affect he uses pushes down on the pitch, occasionally making it lean into flatness or sharpness.
@@gooblereacts thanks for the clear explanation, that makes sense!
