“She’s Electric”, “Champagne Supernova” and “Live Forever” by Oasis are brilliant
Dont forget some might say is absolutely class
@@crazytanks2001 Slide Away is the best
@@DKomnicide slide away is brilliant some might say, the masterplan and rock n roll star are just some of my tops
@@crazytanks2001 Rock n roll star is actually my least favourite song off of Definitely Maybe. Idk why I just never cared for it.
Let’s be honest oasis are just fuckin class in general
“Don’t look back in anger” “champagne supernova” “live forever” by oasis is a must hear
As a BRIT WHO WAS 11 at the time of Wonderwall YOU MUST LOOK UP DON’T LOOK BACK IN ANGER IS THE NEXT OASIS SONG FOR YOU TO REVIEW
Defineately

Very True and one of my favourites.
Try being 24 , manc and been doing it since 87....... twas bazzin lad.
Awful song.
Loved Oasis as a kid, still do. "(What's The Story) Morning Glory" was the album I grew up with, still my favourite now.
Same, you must be in your 30's
@@samuelstevens248 yup! 😉
Champagne Supernova! It's the soundtrack of my life.
I went to a restaurant and ordered the soup of the day. It was really tasty, so I asked the waitress what it was.
She said, oh that's the Oasis soup. Intrigued I asked why it was called the oasis soup? She looked me dead pan in the eyes and said 'you gotta a roll with it'.
*I'll get my coat*
Wonderwall, Supersonic, Stand By Me, Live Forever, Some Might Say, Champagne Supernova, these are my favorite songs of theirs 👏
Brings back memories of the 1990’s. A great decade.
Total classic. Check Out "Live Forever" by Oasis. Just love that track. Also "Sonnet" and "The Drugs Don't Work" by UK band The Verve. Same type of chill indie vibe.
Gotta lob in Lucky Man by The Verve too.
In reality Verves best albums are Storm in heaven and Northern soul. Urban hymes was a good commercial album.
On a side note Verve are nothing like Oasis lol. I loved The Verve .(Still do actually) but despise Oasis. Verve are kinda like a blend between Zeppellin Rolling stones and pink Floyd! Oasis are like a bad pub band Beatles tribute act.
As others have said, during the 90s “Britpop” era there was strong rivalry between Blur and Oasis. I myself was in the Blur camp. You might want to listen to some Blur. Parklife is perhaps Blur’s best-known song. Others like Girls and Boys, Country House and Beetlebum are also worth a listen.
I always say that if you want a party to get started you put on Blur but if you want it to end you put on Oasis! I always loved the fact that Country House was a piss take about Oasis!
Oasis had attitude, they were the real deal. If Blur were a thing today they'd all be wearing 3/4 length skinny jeans, carrying man purses and consuming lots of Soy products👎😏🤣
If you were in the blur camp you were a rich ass little nerd Oasis wer working class hero's Blur were posh fucking zero's! ✌️ Doh Dude I do enjoy some of Blurs songs today but back then nah way like "Country House" FML you for real dude? You definitely were brought up with a silver spoon in the gob back in the day and trust me all yous young ones those were the days! Not like this woke ass society "oh don't miss gender me" get the boat Nancy pufters! It's just Rock N Roll But We Love It! 🎶 🎶 🎶 🎶 Were gonna live forever except the Trans community lol jk! Live and let live! Zen baby Zen 🧘♂️
I’m watching this whilst lying on the couch… the Mrs is now singing along loudly and bopping in the other room!
Wonderwall is on my playlist for running the treadmill daily lol. Its my fave!
Best British Band by a zillion miles in the 90's & into the naughties. Hit after hit after hit. Shame the brothers had there differences but nothing lasts forever, except maybe music 😁😁 Get your lugholes around a few more of their songs 👍
Absolutely this ☝️
I recommend "don't look back in anger" by Oasis. If you get the music video it also features the late, great Patrick Macnee as the black taxi driver and he pops up throughout the video. He played British secret agent John Steed (a sort of James Bond figure) in the 1960s and 70s TV series 'The Avengers' famous for his trademark bowler hat, umbrella and vintage Bentley car. He became a cult figure, as did the TV series because of their unique visual styles, and so was also used in another British music video, this time for a group called the 'The Pretenders'. The song is called "Don't get me wrong", another good song. Lead singer, Chrissie Hines, was a fan of the visual style of the old TV series and recreated it for the music video. The real John Steed ( there are some imposters trying to trick her) doesn't appear until the end in merged 1960's footage from the TV series.
Thank you for writing the info on Patrick Macnee and the 60's look of the girls car etc . I always seem to be the one that writes that you saved me a job👍🏻
@@sarablack2547 you're welcome. Watch the two music videos I mentioned and you will see what I mean I think.
@@driftwood1906 I've seen don't look back in anger video when it came out and over the years.it's one of my fav oasis songs.i know the words hence why I thanked you for the steed info saveing me the job I've also seen some of the avengers mainly the purdy gambit era in repeats.i also saw the pretenders video when it came out and over the years.
I recommend changing the channel when this kak music comes on! They were awful..
The live performance at Riverplate Stadium is pure class.
I’m 50 years old now, but I remember when this song came out in the mid 90s I was graduating from art school, and I was around 24 years old, the same age as Liam, the singer. When I listen to this song again, I appreciate it so much more. A lot of good singers come from Manchester and Liverpool in England. A timeless classic!
Great reaction ! Who else started to sing along.... OG Britpop anthem !
I reckon you would like " Massive attack" and the song unfinished Symphony. Brit pop in the 90's was a great time!!
Absolute perfection in a song
Champagne super nova is one of their best songs also cast no shadow two I would highly recommend. As for albums what’s the story morning glory is a good place to start
Rock n Roll Star is my favourite Oasis track Bloody awesome Band
HOW CAN YOU HAVE NEVER HEARD THIS SONG?!
i wish i could never hear it, its a depressing sounding manc mess
Oasis were huge in the UK! My favourite band…
We used to have music like this in the charts in the 90s - 2nd best decade humanity has seen (60's being the best)
They were amazing live…so glad I got to see them a number of times Ax
Oasis are still played on night outs around the country and it will get everyone singing even the younger generation, they're much bigger here than the Beatles ever were.
Wow, Liam's voice still gives me goose bumps after all this time.
If you like this Joel, can I recommend Mike Flower's Pops version of Wonderwall...which has a *very* different vibe!
Check out live forever and don’t look back in anger live
Listen to Oasis "Half The World Away" it was the theme song to the British Sitcom The Royle Family, which was about a proper working class family in Manchester
A masterpiece - Noel Gallagher is a musical genius.
Here’s a list of Oasis singles to listen to;
Morning Glory, Don’t Look Back in Anger, Champagne Supernova, Half the World Away, Cigarettes & Alcohol, Some Might Say, Roll with It and She’s Electric!
Morning Glory, She's Electric and Half the World Away were not singles. Glory and Electric were album tracks and Half the World Away was a B-Side.
@@sagan666 alright, whatever, my point is, these are the ones I recommend him to listen to.
@@marielouise9126 Not having a go. Just pointing it out. And they are great songs to listen to that you have listed. Esp. Half the World Away. I love that song. :-)
@@sagan666 yeah I love that one too 👍🏻
Stand by me, slide away, live forever, whatever, dont look back in anger, i could go on all day they have that many good tunes, biggest and best of the 90s and in my opinion the best to do it
React to - Oasis Don’t look back in anger. Great Wonderwall reaction BTW 👍
Brings back memories of my first year at University in my Halls (dorms in US). I lived with 11 other guys. Half were Oasis, half were Blur. It got to the point where we had 2 separate social groups based on Oasis/Blur preference. Both were massively popular in the mid to late 1990’s. Another from that era for me was British rapper Mike Skinner from “The Streets”. IMO his lyrics are genius.
Oasis got me through the 90's and beyond.. GG 👌
Not one bad song off the first two Oasis albums, they're amazing and from my City so I'm proud of them!
when this comes on in a club, it goes OFF !! just one of those songs that you can absolutely belt out
A club playing Wonderwall? Lol, sounds like an exciting night.
I seriously miss the 90's, it was such a care free exciting time. Definitely the last decade of music/culture trends combining. And you need to listen to there first three albums. Its funny how when you look back, and you realise how good those albums really were. All recognisable classics on the albums. Which is very rare
The first three albums: 'Definitely Maybe', '(What's The Story) Morning Glory?' and 'Be Here Now' are certified classics, though it all went a bit 'Pete Tong' after that, though their last four albums sold pretty well.
La mejor epoca musical, donde tenias un mundo musical para escoger, para todos los gustos. Y el acceso a la musica por la tv, las disqueras, sin exagerar en la masividad de internet, pero de alguna forma mas accesible
Hi Joel, great start to the day. I wasn't a fan as such of Oasis but the album this came off - What's the story morning glory is a masterpiece. It was perfect for the time - mid 90's explosion of Brit pop guitar bands. If you only listen to that album you would be blown away. They had success before this with a few Brit pop classics on the album before. Liam the lead singer and Noel the lead guitarist are brothers. They never got on and since Oasis ended they went their separate ways🤦 Both are still making music. Listen to Don't look back in anger, cast no shadow, champagne supernova and roll with it. ❤️
Live Forever is by far the best Oasis song and they have a few great songs.
My favorite band! Liam's voice gives me chills. I recommend their live gigs, the vibe is incredible. Please do Supersonic, Slide Away & Live Forever 🙏 Noel's lyrics are open to interpretation, he's said he doesn't even know what they're about a lot of the time. Sometimes nonsensical but always brilliant.
These guys are just one of many reasons that I’m proud to be from Lancashire and near Manchester. You’ll probably find a lot of live crowds singing this. In the Hard Rock Cafe in Manchester some of the lyrics are on the wall for the upstairs seating area. Probably hear this when you come over being played in a pub on the jukebox haha 😛
Oasis have said, they were very influenced by the Beatles and I would say they were the equivalent of the Beatles in the 90s.
You might have heared the music in any Netflix shows. Netflix uses so so many British songs in there programs as backing music or at the end with the credits. Tom Cruse uses a some too in his films.
My favorite Britpop band was Suede. Wonderwall is a reference to George Harrison of The Beatles.
I was never really an Oasis fan, but this song is on another level.
You haven't heard Oasis then it you think this song is the one on another level
Masterplan is better
slide away is better
Don't look back in anger is better
Live forever is better
This is one of there worse songs...
for me its an over played song so it makes it overrated ,u know when its time to go home when its 4am and this shit comes on

I recommend checking out some of Liam Gallagher’s (the main singer) solo stuff. Such as; For What It’s Worth, Wall of Glass, and Now That I’ve Found You.
Best band ever! Songs like Champagne Supernova, Slide Away, Don’t look back in anger, Falling Down. Just a few to mention
This is from the What's The Story Morning Glory album which pretty much has legendary status here in the UK. Even 27 years on, it's popularity is huge. Every track on it is brilliant and it's a must listen.
I'm partial to 'Definitely, Maybe', personally, but their earlier releases were the best! After the split, I never really paid attention to Beady Eye or the High Flying Birds.
I’m turning the notification bell on….. im expecting more Oasis!!😉
Don't look back in anger live at river plate stadium is a must watch.
I love Oasis I first heard their music when my mum played their CD'S and I was hooked .
Check out some of the concert videos from Maine Road, G mex and Argentina.
Welcome to the band that changed the 90s
Your gonna love it!
Thanks so much for this.
This was the soundtrack for my final exams at school and first year at university. I was singing it all the time out loud and in my head.
However I only listened to the radio and played cassette tapes. I had never seen this video!!! Obviously I could have watched it on tv, but at home 4 people and one Tv I didn’t. At university 350 in my hall of residence and 2 Tv rooms so it got crowded.
Their single Roll with it, the photo on the cover was taken on the beach where I now live opposite.
Best band of my generation. The 90s were amazing for music 😉
"Some might say", "supersonic", "acquiesce", "bring it on down" are all great along with the other suggestions people have left. You could also check out some of their live performances, Earl's Court and Maine road are a good place to start 🙂
I remember this song and video being in heavy rotation on MTV back in the day (back when they actually played music videos haha) and it's definitely one of Oasis' biggest hits, if not THE biggest hit of theirs. It's also the typical go-to song many people sing at parties if someone brings a guitar, it definitely has a strong sing-along factor.
The song is essentially a love song. But it wasn't written as a love song to his then partner, but rather as a love song to himself.
It's about finding your way back to loving yourself. Finding the inner strength and listening to the inner voice that's trying to lead you to better self-esteem. He said in an interview that rather than an inner voice he thought of it as an imaginary friend coming to save you.
As for the references, "The road is winding" means it won't be a straight forward journey. "The lights are blinding" means he can't see the road ahead.
It's a great song as is, but once you understand the meaning behind the lyrics it takes on a whole new, very dark meaning.
Es oscura. Habla sobre drogas. Talk about drugs, is a dark song
Love your reactions! We need more Oasis!
As a Brit, I’m shocked to hear you’d never heard a full Wonderwall😭 I’m glad you have now x)
I'm more shocked that he thinks it's good.
@@stefjonno1 do you not think it’s good? :,0 :3
@@katie_cant_compute No, I think it's boring af. I would say that i think Oasis are the most overrated band of the last 30 years! Why anyone can still listen to Roll with it in 2022 amazes me. Imo it's pub band music. The Masses cling to mediocre product.
I have always had a theory why they made it big. It's my generation, I was there lol.
My absolute favourite band 🎶😁
If Joel wants to go back in time, listen to You Spin Me Round by Dead or Alive which takes me back to dancing like crazy in nightclubs in Manchester in the mid 1980's - the video was done so on the cheap, but the record is unforgettable. Then of course the other huge phenomenon was Frankie Goes to Hollywood - who can forget Relax ?
Joel… what a guy! I love watching you but have not commented before.
Hopefully this is the start of you heading down an Oasis rabbit hole which should lead to their Maine Road gig in 1996. They were huge and are the soundtrack to my teens and early 20’s with most songs ‘placing me somewhere’ from years gone by. Their Masterplan album is made of of B tracks and is better than many bands hits. Enjoy! 😊
I saw Liam live back in Dec 2018 at the O2 and it was such a vibe. Loved it! One of my favourite gigs ever.
This was written by Noel Gallagher & is a love song to his then girlfriend Meg Matthews. They went on to marry & had a daughter, Anais, but later divorced. Noel & Liam (the singer) are brothers & Noel is the guitarist. The brothers did nothing but fight have been estranged for years. They now have their own separate successful careers. They didn't break the US because of their bad behaviour whilst over there, but they were massive in the UK. Liam in particular is still really popular.
Cast No Shadow will always be my favourite.
But it’s worth checking out Don’t Look Back In Anger live at Riverplate Argentina. It’s a anthem.
“Champagne Supernova” is definitely a must-react classic. It represents Oasis like Stairway to Heaven represents Led Zeppelin. Not comparing the two bands or the two songs, just saying how iconic the song is in relation to the band.
It was a great last track on the album. Spellbinding
The first band I ever liked as a kid. Although I don't really actively listen to music these days (unless it's a reaction) they are still my favourite!
Some others of theirs I recommend:
Champagne Supernova
Don't look Back In Anger
Stand By Me
Live Forever
Do You Know What I Mean
A great song by a group from my home town.
Noel never really let’s you know what the meanings are to his songs. The fans tend to find their own meanings but their songs mean so much to so many people…
Listen to Live Forever, one of my all time favourite songs. Liam has that distinctive voice. Great band.
If you like this you will love "Don't Look Back In Anger" or my own personal favourite "Roll With It" too.
Oasis biggest selling single in the UK, it got to No2 in November 1995, it outsold most of their No1 singles that came later! It’s sold over 2 million copies in the UK since its release and their biggest hit in the USA where it got into the Billboard Hot 100 Top Ten reaching No8 in March 1996, and it an absolute classic!
The Gallagher Brothers are OSAIS ,,,, They are from an IRISH family who moved to MANCHESTER some time ago….. both brothers are very talented,,,,unfortunately they don’t speak to each other anymore,,,,,, quite bizarre,,but there we are…. Fortunately there is quite a back catalogue of their music for you to enjoy…. ✌️✌️✌️✌️❤️🇮🇪
Oasis are amazing. One of my other Oasis favourites is 'Stop Crying Your Heart Out' and also 'Don't look back in Anger' - worth a listen / watch
You should definitely check out "AC/DC thunderstruck live at the river plate Argentina" the crowd is insane
You need to react to the Beatles they are the group that changed British pop!!!!!!!!!!!!
She's Electric. My fav song ever. And no video to it. X
The best way to discover Oasis is live. May I recommend two gigs from 1996: Knebworth and Maine Road. Get stuck in, lad.
Great suggestion
‘Live by the Sea’ would be better to get ‘stuck in’ to start with though imo
There are so many Oasis songs to choose from - I would recommend Champagne Supernova, Don't Look Back in Anger, Stop Crying Your Heart Out - and one my daughter used to sing for her then boyfriend, now husband - The Importance of Being Idle. He was a lazy teenager who went on to become a hard-working construction site manager who proved us all wrong!
I really love this song
Liam and Noel both have single careers now.
Liam is doing better than his big brother.
Check out some of Liam’s solo music. Tracks like, For What It’s Worth, Wall of Glass, Greedy Soul, Paper Crown, All You’re Dreaming Of, Better Days, Once, Now That I’ve Found You, One of Us, Shockwave.
nice reaction... I was in my late 30s when Oasis arrived on the scene ... there are some wicked songs but my favourite is 'Half the world away"
Oasis, Liam and noel Gallagher from my home town Manchester in my opinion are two of the top musicians of my time , you can pick any of there songs and you wont be disappointed , its a shame they don't play together any more as they split after a fall out some years ago, try checking out ( stop crying you heart out ) is a good one
In the early 90s, a phenomenon known as 'Britpop' became incredibly popular. It wasn't any particular kind of style or genre and the songs themselves didn't follow a set type, but were commonly acoustic-based rock songs played by obviously British bands.
Oasis and Blur were the two bands that came to the forefront by the mid 1990s. This involved a rivalry similar to that between The Beatles and The Rolling Stones in the early 1960s, in that it was common for fans to align themselves with one or the other of the two bands, but rarely both. (Blur might be another band that you'd like to check out.)
At this time, performing quietly, out of the eye of the Blur/Oasis rivalry were other bands who were also seen as 'Britpop' but that were popular DESPITE, rather than BECAUSE of the media hype. The foremost of these was 'Pulp' who had been performing stuff akin to that which was now being described as Britpop, ever since the late 70s. Pulp are definitely a band that you ought to check out (if only for how extraordinarily 'British' you'll find them!) Try their two biggest hits: 'Common People' & 'Disco 2000' or some of their excellent album tracks, or perhaps some of their later hits like 'Help The Aged' or 'Bad Cover Version'. (There's an excellent video of this song on RUclips, using loads of 'look-a-likes' in a parody of those multi-performer charity records that were so popular at the time!)
** That video I mentioned is here: ruclips.net/video/xR5xGHPUEew/видео.html (I don't think I've ever seen a reaction to this by the way, but if you don't famcy reacting to it, at least watch it.)
All of this rivalry stuff was just generated by 'popular media' so that lazy, hack writers could trot out pointless stories for tabloids.
One of my teenage bands Doc, you gotta listen to Masterplan "or The Masterplan" by Oasis this believe it or not was not even a cover track! The 90's rocked for the quality of music.
Oo & The Verve - Bittersweet Symphony & Radiohead Creep are good ones! 👍👍👍
Live Forever is one of the best. But really they’re all great. These brothers are the pride of Manchester. Got to see them on their last tour before they split. Wonderful band
Was great as a 14 year old kid when this came out and finding out this band were from pretty much down the road from me and one of the members used to go to my school. They changed everything because they were just like me and my mates but they made amazing music. It was a weird feeling but it made you feel like anything was possible. Noel Gallagher is a genius. Liam is a legend.
Hello Joel. I often hear said that this is like a Beatles copy, but it makes me think of Supertrooper from ABBA.
I prefer "Don't Back in Anger" which whole pubs would sing along to if on the jukebox.
The local band from my time in Manchester was James. Just as I had left university Stone Roses, Happy Mondays and Inspiral Carpets seemed to just go national in no time. When I first got there the big local band had been The Smiths and New Order were big having reformed from Joy Division.
You should look at the "Madchester" scene.
Check out Live Forever next it's killer, probably their best track. You should definitely check more britpop out with bands such as The Verve, Blur, Suede and Pulp.
I was like 12 when this came out loved it all along its about time they got recognized.
I'm a big Oasis fan so glad you liked it. Definitely try 'Dont Look Back in Anger.'
I heard them live at T in the Park in 1996, was so fucking amazing. My brother plays it on the guitar. He's a popular guy, you should Google him.... Kevin Smith, Scotland, the beltane cornet.... he has a portrait of himself in the tower of London. X
Hiya Joel, like to see that you are trying even more new stuff. Oasis were an exceptionally popular band back in the day. I must admit tho, I personally wasn't a fan of their music, but they did do a couple of good tracks that I liked. One thing I did feel confused about, is how 2 brothers can hate eachother so much.
When I was young and Oasis came on the scene I was not to sure about them and took me a while to realise how good they were - I love Stand By Me which is a real fav of mine but there are to many great songs to mention..... If you get the chance to listen to their albums you won't be let down -
They sound even better live. Look up Maine Road or Knebworth gigs
Theres a really good oasis documentary might be on Netflix i know it was, its called supersonic maybe one for the Patrion for copy right reasons
