It doesn't matter when you recorded it guys. You should Google the British advert that involves nodding dogs. That's what you 2 look like when you react to music 🤣
Plenty of Oasis songs still to do: Fade Away, Go Let It Out, Songbird, Hey Now, etc. Glad you finally got to post this reaction, it was really fun to watch!
@@UncleGwendolyn also I like how my opinion can not be 'remotely accurate' lol... surly opinions are personal, not based in facts, just in what you personally like. What's your fav song, band, fave rock n roll moment?

This tune winds up being about 50%-70% of the way through their set. Shame these guys are no more. Would love to slap them both and tell them to get the band back together. Sadly it seems there's a real bitterness from Noel's end that's going to mean that never happens. Crying shame. These guys were just about the biggest thing in my life as a teenager and I know for a fact their music got a huge number of people through the hard times.
Depending on whether this was the Friday or Saturday gig, I was there. It was fucking awesome. Football fans a music fans will tell you that whilst the old Wembley was a shithole, it generated a special atmosphere - like the history of the place lived and breathed in the walls.....along with the piss running across the floors.
When I walked out of Wembley rock n roll star was ringing in my ears all the way home its happened after all the oasis gigs am I the only one who gets that.

Wow...Impressed you got the 'Tomorrow Never Knows' bit in there...I'm a big Beatle fan and it took me a little while to work out what he was playing there...so kudos to you man!...It made me think it woulda been great to see the Beatles live in 1966 playing 'Rain' and 'Tomorrow Never Knows' with distortion, shades, gum, shirts and haircuts...but alas...they took a break from live shows until 'Get Back' in 1969...:(
This was a brilliant performance but Main Rd is in Manchester, their home town and the stadium of their football team, Man City hence a special concert . I went with my brother and we were buzzing for days after.
I've crowd surfed at an Oasis gig (Finsbury Park) ... started at the back ... got right to the front .. with my cousin following on right after me .. was brilliant
Haha! There goes the tambourine no phones no health and safety, squash in as many people as possible. Noel used to drink and do drugs as much as Liam back then. 💙
IMHO, Maine Rd is the best gig bc that was their homecoming and first stadium shows. They watched Man City there as kids so it doesn’t get much better. GMEX they were at the height of their powers in terms of popularity, rock star status and the overall band. Liam’s voice was still very much on point. In 2000, Familiar to Millions was honestly when u could start to hear the wear and tear on Liam’s voice. Still a great concert but things kinda steadily went downhill after that in terms of his voice. He had thyroid issues plus the cigs, alcohol, caning it too much, etc. Still an epic band! One of my favs all time.
Agree with all that but Liam did make a voice recovery since he cut the cigs right down, older voice but looking after himself now it won’t ever be Maine Road quality but it’s still him
Back when my dad was young he met Liam and Noel in a car park before one of their gigs back when they were coming up, he has a Polaroid he keeps that he took with them 😂. My aunt picked up liams cigarette butt when they left and has it to this day 😂😂😂
Yeah, Noel said that he used to have a cassette that he'd play all the time with 2 Bowie songs, 2 T-Rex songs, and 2 Slade songs. And he says that's what contributed massively to the sound of Definitely Maybe. I can't hear the Bowie so much, although he never said what songs they were tbf
The studio version kicks this versions ass all over town and the then fks its mums while creating the universe and anything else insane you can think at the same time!
i saw the who at wembley,,,well worth checking out and saw noel at royal albert hall where he did a acoustic set fantastic wonderwall acoustic prob best song i have heard live with the whole crowd singing
Noel says this is his worst memory of the band. Liam was a savage, which of course makes us all happy because it's like going to watch Evel Knievel jump. But for Noel he was probably just scared his whole career was on the edge of being destroyed.
That wasn't this night this Friday night it was the Saturday night when liam got hammered before the show his voice was terrible and he messed up every song on purpose so they couldn't use it on the dvd the Saturday was live on sky aswell. I was there it still sounded good because of the fans singing along covering some of his singing he was on stage 10 minutes atleast on his own after the gig talking to the crowd
If you thought banging a microphone was bad I recommend you look at any WHO video. Keith Moon used to smash up his drum kit at the end of each concert and Pete Townshend used to smash up his guitars
Once in America Keith Moon blow up his drum kit by putting a load of cherry bombs inside them, he has been told only to use a couple but he wanted to go out with a big bang, he certainly did and deafened everybody around as well as destroying his drum kit. I have seen them live many times in England and you would not believe the Mayhem although they did not do this explosion in England the destruction was so exciting for us when we were young. Pete Townshend used to slam his guitar into the stage to get the feedback as well as destroy it eventually.Ah, what an act they were and I would not have missed it for anything. RIP Keith.
Damn right! I watched the Stereophonics. The amount of people that were pretty much recording the whole gig on their phones was unreal. People just don't want to take in the moment anymore
Was not really a fan of Oasis until a friend of mine got me on to the guest list at the BCC special gig back in the early 2000's 400 people in the crowd and I was stood close to the stage, lots of stars there as remember meeting Kate Moss, it think the 3rd album was coming out and they played about 15 songs mostly from the second album, blew me away to be honest, met Liam at the after show as I grabbed the last beer form the box as he was too slow lol
Even though you say it was early 2000s and they were promoting the 3rd album coming out, 'Be Here Now' came out in 1997..Definitely Maybe was 1994, What's the Story was 1995 and BHN was 1997
At the start Noel isn’t just talking to random folk, his ex wife Meg Matthews was in the crowd near the front with all their friends so it’s likely he spotted them. If you watch the entire DVD the camera zooms in on her 👍
100,000 People @ Wembley, the home of Footie in the UK. This was a great version of Cigarettes and Alcohol topped and tailed with 'Taxman' (Beatles) and Led Zep's "Whole Lotta Love", but the rest of the show, apart from Rock 'n' Roll Star was not great... their best tour was the Heathen Chemistry tour. Saw them in Newcastle on that tour and nothing has EVER matched it.

When asked what it was like playing to that size of a crowd, Liam replied, "it was like playing to beans on toast"!!! Hahahaha
Ahh i laughed so hard at this !😂😂
Just like a Liam response! 😂😂😂
Best live performance of C&A hands down. When Noel stood on the speakers and blasted the opening riff, that was biblical.
OASIS are back baby!!
Need to keep these coming been here since day one
You boys talking about the interaction of the brothers and the crowd, we call it banter , 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

This is a great song from Oasis - they had so many fantastic songs. What a concert this must have been!
AND THEY ARE BACK!!!!!
They’re back
I was there!! What a gig! They were amazing live,I miss them
someone said in the knebworth documentary that oasis were the most hedonistic band playing for the most hedonistic public, that's so true
Maine Road second night stands above all imo as their greatest gig, literal perfection the band at their absolute peak
You're right on the opening being Tomorrow Never Knows. Nice call. 👌
Fucking love Oasis!
I was one person lost in that massive crowd.. what a concert it was 👍👍🙌🙌
I was at this gig 👌🏻I was 18 , miss those days
Was listening to this very song in the car today. Oasis rocks !
The mic slap still gets me goin 22 years later

Lucky enough to see them at Heaton park in Manchester before they split, one of the best days I’ve ever had
Me too
You are correct the music you heard in the intro is Tomorrow Never Knows.
When I walked out of Wembley rock n roll star was ringing in my ears all the way home its happened after all the oasis gigs am I the only one who gets that.
This version gives me chills. The greatest frontman.
Indeed.
Without a doubt. Coolest man on the planet.

second to Jim Morrison imho, who invented all that rock n roll star shit

Yeh it’s a great song that! Only heard it the other week…
Agreed. Easily a highlight of his solo career imo.
they did two days playing at Knebworth (hertfordshire) to around 300,000 people
Tune
Best band ever! Pure attitude
Totally agree, grew up in these times & was never into any bands, except oasis like you say pure attitude
I was there, stoned, drunk, sea of piss, best concert Ive ever been to
The beginning of this is Marc Bolans (Get it On).
Every oasis tune sounds like someone else's tune. Luckiest mediocre pub rock band in existence.

I've crowd surfed at an Oasis gig (Finsbury Park) ... started at the back ... got right to the front .. with my cousin following on right after me .. was brilliant

Hiya Fellas Cigarettes and Alcohol sums up my 90's perfectly
Oasis we're our feelins and our lives.
I went to both nights, still seems like yesterday, absolutely epic gigs
Check Oasis songs never played live:
1. Hey Now
2. Roll it Over
3. Part of the Queue
4. The Turning
They literally play roll with it at this Wembley gig.
