The new 2024 Wired Freedom is probably the single most bad-to-the-bone ebike (with pedals) money can buy this year. The 60v power train delivers peak bursts north of 2400 watts and flirts with 40 MPH on the straights while keeping the MSRP four quarters shy of $2,000. For the money, no other electric bicycle delivers such a thrill and comfort. The new Wired Freedom delivers its exceptional performance in added comfort courtesy of the completely revamped 4 link rear suspension featuring an adjustable DNM air shock, in unison with an adjustable RST guide front suspension fork.

Don't inflate the tires past 15lbs, 20 is the max if you got the Chaoyang tires like mine was shipped with from Wired!
Discount of $50 is a joke.
Shit been looking for a rebate off that price and the 50.00 doesn't work
You can give me $50 if it means nothing to you
The controller burnt up, why would I buy one ?
I have a friend that owns an e-bike. As a shade tree mechanic, I became that person's e-bike mechanic. In my servicing, repairing, and test riding that bike, I've gotten interested in using an e-bike as a source of exercise other than my treadmill. I have heart failure, so when I'm done exercising, I'm done. Which is why I hadn't bought another standard bicycle or go on walks very often. I stumbled on your channel researching e-bikes and your energy, format, and showing the ups and downs of each model has me watching all of your videos.
Isn’t it amazing how riding an E-Bike can make you feel like a kid again!!!!
Just riding any ol’ bike does that for me…at 63.
What you mean it’s makes you feel like a kid again? So your penis shrunk to the size of a child’s from riding this?
Lol,, with my knees,,I don't get near pedals..
I purchased this bike because of your review. Appreciate your cheerful no holds barred approach. Enjoy the 50. ~ Al
I've owned electric stand-up scooters and only dual motor. I want a more enjoyable experience and am interested in purchasing my first ebike. I'd like an ebike that's comfortable, easy to work on, find parts for, and has a long range. I'm not so sure about a single motor ebike, however. I was looking at the Ariel X52 step through or their Grizzly. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Great review as always. You my one of my favorite channels now!!!! I want this bike!
TailHappyTV: Man, I 'm enjoying your vids because of the elements of great editing, sprinkings of humor and not hiding any issues you encounter along the way. The fact that you choose this Wired Freedom for your preferred ride on at least one vid I've watched is very telling. One thing: I would suggest a helmet at alltimes while riding, especially when flying along at 40mph!
I just ordered one today. I’m really looking forward to it arriving!
After watching your review of the 2023 Freedom back in August, I had no problem pulling the trigger for this bike. Only to find out later that I will be receiving the New and Improved 2024 version ! This review was just as incentivizing as the first one last summer ! As I still haven't received my bike, it was REALLY nice the see the 2024 in Blue, in your review ! I am So stoked about my purchasing decision ! This bike is a SMOKEN deal at this price range ! I've had 3 months to find a better deal, at these exact specs ( with the BMX handlebars) and I can not ! Good job !
ordered mine august 10th and got the new model same as this one in the video, just got the email this morning that it's been shipped out today! cannot freakin wait after 3 long months
Mee too. Any day now !

Awesome review! Definitely a contender.
Any plans to review Fucare Taurus?
mine came last month. absolutely blown away! most fun thing ive ever owned!
I have a question. Have you had any issues? And how is the range in pedal assist 5?
no issues at all! i would rate my experience a 10/10! the range is amazing, but I have not rode it enough yet to give you an accurate answer on that@@Beendan
In my experience, you will rarely use PAS 5 so don’t worry about the range.

I ordered mine september 30th, november shipping got delayed again :( The logistics companies in the country, has lost communications with the driver, the carrier and most importantly, the container of e-bikes.
I love that you're cruising Santa Monica and surrounding area. I grew up there (like, a LONG time ago) and it's cool seeing the place again. Now . . . I just need to pick an ebike to ride when I'm down there again. I'm stuck between this bike and the Billy Goat.
Hey, I wanted to mention, I ordered this bike through your link and also ordered for my wife the Aipas A6 Dual Motor through the link on that video. I find your videos very helpful. I spent about 20 hours looking at a bunch of your videos to get a feel for what I might actually want. Bikes haven't come yet (I literally just ordered them), but thanks again for your work!
thank you!
I’m actually trying to decide between the two bikes haha. I need to ride 20-30 miles with 40-60lbs of cargo. Any thoughts between the two bikes? I want to avoid becoming exhaust at the end of the work day, which is why I like the Wired, but the A6 is purpose built for cargo.
I'm sold, awesome video! You have a great route to ride! I miss Cali
The 2024 Wired Freedom is EXACTLY what Matt said it was.( LARGE AND IN CHARGE ! ) This thing is VERY Fun! Very Powerful ! Just a hoot to ride ! And doesn't beat you up on rough surfaces. Every where I go it turns heads, and people ask me about it. And Yes, I have peddled this bike Well over 40 MPH ! (with a slight tail wind) . It was Well worth the wait !
Hi, how much does it cost? Thanks
@@usernamesrlamo
The Wired freedom comes with a firm seat. It’s nice but nothing to brag about.
Aftermarket seats are not that expensive and easy to change .
It’s probably one of the first things That most e-bike owners invest in.

I've been shopping around for months. I might just try this! Thanks!
I have been doing the same and now that wired has a cruiser with 2 batteries and upgraded everything. Still for 2k I just pre ordered one but Im close to Chicago so I can pick it up.
I had a 56t in the front when i was racing. I got a speeding ticket on Roscoe Blvd 30 years ago going 38mph. Ebikes like that make feel 20 again.

These are Anderson PowerPole style connectors and can be used with a small locking pin through the holes in the connectors so they can't pull apart.
Does anybody know if Wired normally installs this locking pin and it was just overlooked in production? Anderson connectors are usually pretty tight even without a locking pin so maybe it was just never fully connected to begin with? I don't think one day's riding should cause this...even that hill should not cause this, so I'm betting it was loose from the get-go.
great review thank you!
Thanks for the review. I was wondering about what ebike would work for a taller rider. You answered that. Bike looks well made.
15:01 I agree with you there. I have both torque and cadence sensing ebikes and for everything but mountain biking I prefer the cadence sensor.
Mine arrives in January and is “Forest”. Thanks

Just ordered my eBay today thanks for the tips and video and I told them that you sent me

I ordered a Wired Freedom after watching your Tahoe ride!! I was sold then. Expecting delivery in January.
Dude. How do you upload such quality videos this frequently.
2:57 touch up paint is probably their way of dealing with things getting scratched in shipping..

It should be standard to be honest, shipping damage is pretty common

wired has been going some great work ....
What do you think about using this on hills, rocky dirt and trails ? We live up here in New Hampshire lots of trails. I need something to go out on the trails with my pups.
I had asked WF if they were going to get UL certs for their batteries, their response was 'we are currently working on it'.
I have heard this as well and would expect the next batch to be UL certified.
That would be so damn sweet if true@@jfly2249
Tesla has ul certs and catch fire all day long lol
Apart from being on the 60V platform vs the 48V, how would you compare this bike to the Mokwheel Basalt?
The nice thing about the Mokwheel is the high payload capacity of 400 pounds, good for riders who are over 250 pounds. Can the Wired bike support a larger rider? Also how well of a job does the rear swing arm do at absorbing wheel hop? Because, with a rear drive instead of a mid-drive that is my concern being a heavier rider.
This is an awesome video!!!! Thank you so much for this content and being a tall 6'5" cyclist (I'm 6'3")!!!!! I just purchased this ebike in Titian yesterday morning! I am so excited I had to watch your video again today for like the 30th time or so just to try to quell my anticipation! I have looked at tons of ebikes and videos in the last 3-4months and yours are by far some of the best I can find! #kudos I plan on using this to commute through the terribly maintained pothole and crack-ridden streets of downtown Philadelphia and ditching the car during the week! #gassaver. Anyway, I just had to mention it to you personally and thank you again for all the reviews you've done! I wish you the best sir!! Mine won't be here for 3wks but I might make a video and tag you! #keepdoingwhatyourdoing
How do you like it??!
I need 2 hands for that, good job!
would you recommend for light to moderate mountain biking trails?
I bought last years model and I love the bike. Customer support is incredible! I can't wait until the spring to start riding again!
A small but significant tip is to change the C5 setting to 10, it over doubles your acceleration.. as it's limited, even while feeling plenty powerful. Makes hill climbing and offroading far easier

Great vid, do you prefer this bike or the Philodo ?
Hey I’m the 2k liked subscriber! Anyways always a delight seeing this guy reviews e-bikes!
Nice!! This looks like my Specialized Roll with the BMX style bars.... been thinking about converting it with one of those Bafang kits, but for another grand for full suspension thoibk it's worth just to buy it
How does it do on gravel roads with dust? As using as a hunting bike.
Sick Video!! What would be the biggest comparison to something cheaper like the RadRover 6 plus? Would this be worth the upgrade for the extra money?
Thanks!
I have a very important question. Did you change the C5 setting from the default setting of 4 up to 10 prior to the 20% hill climb test? Because if it did that climb on factory 4 setting then thats crazy. Can't imagine how quickly it would climb that hill if set to 10...🤯🤯🤯
Your video and this bike are outrageous!!!! You're the best reviewer hands down. I can't believe this bike dude 🤤
Great review, does it have cruise control for long, boring trips?
yeah, it does have a cruise function.
Ecells five star had no problem with the hill.
😂
Love the bmx bars!
The only pedal e-bike that you can move to the left lane and pass cars in the slow lane😁 And how does that Steve talk to every one of his customers😲. I had an unplugged throttle earlier in the year that made mine DOA and we figured it out over the phone too.
Aloha is the battery on the wired freedom fit the goat e-bike? Love your vids
I have 2 of these 2024 Freedoms, the blue and the orange. So far they have been amazing! If they can beef up the shipping boxes a little better so they don't get scratched during shipping this would be absolutely perfect.
You don’t have two of these bikes, don’t lie. The 2024 bikes are not even shipping out yet.
At least they include a small bottle of touch up paint. Nice touch. How long and how many miles do you have on them? Would you buy them again? I'm very tempted... Thx
@@melrobinson6919 it is nice that they included that. They wrap them in plastic wrap which is good because the orange bottle was busted and leaked out, but luckily it didn't get on the bike or anything else. I have a few small dings on both bikes but nothing super major.
So far on the Blue I have 107 miles, and the orange about 70. These are the first eBikes I've ever owned so I can't really compare them to anything else, but so far they have been great.
I'm waiting for Black Friday to purchase a Hollywood Bike Rack so I can start taking the bikes to trails to really test them out.

@@dixienormis3614 Many people have already received the October shipment. The November shipment is being sent out as we speak. My bike should arrive on the 25th here in SoCal.
Love the BMX handle bars
Is the bikes brakes rated for 40 mph breaking. I’m sure it can stop but will the breaks continually handle the 40 mph braking. If you ride at 40mph how long will the battery last?
Nice bike. Nice video. What a cluster f environment. Has to be SoCal.
What’s your experience riding it in the rain, do you think it would survive in wet weather, or will it break?
Would switching out the bmx bars to mountain bike bars be a better option? I like the aggressive style of mountain bike bars and the bmx bars seem to be to upright.
Awesome review! I'm looking at the Eahora Juliet and this one. Both bikes look strong; but if you were to choose one, which would you get for your style of riding?
Juliet if you want to ride for a long time (60 miles or more), get the Freedom if you want an adrenaline rush but only 30 miles of range. Wired is my choice personally, I never want to be on a bike for more than 30 miles most of the time, Wired fits me well also
Mine just came. Had Chaoyang tires. No touch up paint. This is a very big bike (compared to my Velotric Discover 1 and T1ST) and it is challenging to swing your leg over the rack-you best start stretching! I now see the logic of 20 and 24 inch tires. I'm 5-10 and 180#. It's quite the machine to master and will keep it in class 2 for awhile...
Those Chaoyang tires have a 20lb maximum air pressure!
I hear you. We see lots of 26" and 20" fat tire ebikes but I'm thinking a 24" would be a sweet spot for lots of people including me. Very few 24" fat tire bikes to choose from.
I own the '23 model, and a small but significant tip is to change the C5 setting to 10, it over doubles your acceleration.. as it's limited, even while feeling plenty powerful
10 seemed way to jerky for me, I settled on 6. Also, 10 seemed a little unsafe because sometimes you can kick on PAS unintentionally by slight movements of the pedals. Having that twitchy of acceleration when stopped for a passing bus or say near a steep drop off on a trail can put you in a spot to not have time to stop yourself before disaster. I found a better setup is the 6 setting but having the throttle setting on max all the time for when you need those quick bursts of acceleration.
I recently purchased an orange wired freedom, it's supposed to arrive this coming week, but your, more as in this video was the main reason I decided to go with it. And for a fact why I looked in and got proper protection for my bike as I'm a derailer guard. Without this video idk if I would've had the same insites as before if I hadn't watch this video
I own the '23 model, and a small but significant tip is to change the C5 setting to 10, it over doubles your acceleration.. as it's limited, even while feeling plenty powerful. Your gonna love it

Need your advice! My wife who is 5'8 wants a full suspension fat tire ebike. Mostly road with medium off road capability. She was wanting the wired freedom but not sure if she would be happy 🤷♂️ with seat height and power? She wants to pedal some for the exercise! Any thoughts?
My biggest concern with purchasing my first e-bike is the issue many are facing with backwards compatibility and proprietary systems. I went to Wired's website and noticed the '23 battery only works with the '23, and the '24 only works with the '24. That's worrisome for someone who doesn't plan on buying a $2000 ebike every year. I was really close to pulling the trigger, too.
I'm new to ebikes. What do you mean by this? I was gonna pull the trigger too but your comment has me worried. Please elaborate. Thanks! 💯😊
@@TheCardmaker2317 It means replacement batteries will be very hard to get down the road as the model of bike is sunset (or no longer produced) because the batteries are matched to each bike.
So when a bike is sunset the battery most likely will be too.

Any chance of an A vs B trail ride test of the previous version to the 2024? I would love to see this........However PLEASE do not conduct the test on the cliff side you rode the previous one on ;-)
PS Just got my 2024 Freedom a couple of weeks ago and absolutely love the changes Wired made......particularly as these changes were unknown at the time of the order, so they were a gift. Also I do mostly street riding on semi smooth roads so I opted to change the Chao Yangs to HEB alscapes and although they do of course ride rougher, the puncture resistance tracking, traction, feedback and response they provide is well worth it to me. Also unlike some reviews of the tires I have seen, I did an A vs B road test at various speeds cruise speeds and they provided basically identical watt output as well as only slowing the bike by maybe 1/2 mph at top speed. In addition one big surprise was the low speed acceleration seemed to actually improve, despite the tires being heavier.....I would guess this is due to the sidewalls not torsionally damping the harmonics of the motor.
I've owned electric stand-up scooters and only dual motor. I want a more enjoyable experience and am interested in purchasing my first ebike. Make a 27.5 or 29” version and I’m in. Options sells.
Which one would you buy, this one or "the Billy Goat" that you just reviewed? I was thinking of buying a Specialized Turbo Levo Mountain Bike but for my first E bike might buy something less expensive like this or the Billy Goat... Any opinions would be highly appreciated. I'd also say this bike is an optical illusion. From a distance, it looks like a kids BMX bike (with added rack & fenders) but as you come closer to it, it gets bigger & bigger.
This checks all the boxes for me.

you should really add a review of each bike on what it's like to ride it 5 miles back to the house on a dead battery or electrical system. That seems pretty important.
I can tell you this fact right here. If it’s a moped style 20 inch wheel ebike you will not be able to pedal it without power. You’re pushing those. If it’s a normal size bike or fat tire one it’s not too bad, just like riding a regular bike with some added weight and very doable
Thank you for the outstanding review! Mine is on order from August so should be arriving by years end! WooHoo!
Which year though, this year or next year?
My August order will be arriving on Saturday ! Yeehaw !
Great videos! Been scouring the reviews of all the ebikes in this price range. Almost bought the Aventon Aventure 2 until I discovered this bike. Just wondering your honest opinion on the Freedom compared to the other similar ebikes in this price / performance range? Almost ready to purchase, just need some more convincing. Im 6'2" - 230lbs. Thanks..
This is my favorite 26x4 Ebike hands down
@@TailHappyTV I was thinking the height would be an issues because all the pictures I see with it is with the seat all the way down. But I guess the maximum seat height is 42" and you said you were 6'5" and it fit you good.
You will fit on the Freedom nicely. I’m a hair over 6’ and 185lbs and the Freedom seems huge every time I get on. People really don’t have a good idea how big it is until they see it in person. It looks so cool, rides super smooth and the power, omg the power 😍 You will not regret getting this bike.
Customer serviceve was available, thats good.
I’m looking into buying my first e bike. I was also looking at the Revv1 and Yadea. But this seems better with Samsung cells. Any thoughts?
Those two other bikes you mentioned are like moped style ones right? The wired is much bigger and capable off road
Great looking e bike!
I see your videos are on the lower priced e-bikes, do you ever plan on doing any of the higher priced bike brands? i.e. Trek, Specialized, Orbea etc.
I need an electric bike with long autonomy, because I want to courier with it, which do you think would be better? Aniioki A 8 pro max dual motor model 2024,or this Wired bike? 😊
Looking to get an ebike, love your channel
have you tried a 3 inch tire on a fat tire bike is it possible on the wired?
Is there any way to ship this e-bike to Europe? Unfortunately, Wired itself does not do this. How is that possible with the best e-bike currently on the market?
@TailHappyTV can you help me somehow? Please.
Dig ur reviews esp. as a taller guy (6'3") Im looking for a commuter. Im in MI. It was 37 deg today. WIRED bike seems like a good value and functionality. Is 72v+ on the horizon by spring?
Have you pulled the trigger on anything?
@@natelesan2773 Yea a 1998 Trek and a 48v kit. ebikeling.
That was simply the best review of this exact bike that I’ve seen, and this is the best in every regard. Thanks Dude
Can u tell me where I can find it the Juiced joy ride?
