The Velotric Discover 2 is a commuter style ebike that's got all the best features and an affordable price tag. The Discover 2 ebike comes packed with features unheard of at thes price point including:
    - a responsive and well tuned torque sensor to give you power in proportion to how hard you pedal
    - a beautiful color 3.5" TFT display with easy to operate menus to adjust any settings you'd like to
    - a UL certified battery to ensure your safety along with an almost unheard of IPX7 water resistance rating that allows you to fully submerge the velotric battery in water for 30 minutes without sustaining any damage
    - an IPX6 rating on the bike itself which can safely withstand not just rain, but power washing as well (no need to fear washing your Velotric Discover 2)
    - Apple Find My to locate your bike
    - An optional app (you don't have to use the app, but you can)
    - 705 watt-hour battery running on 48v for excellent range while keeping the weight of the bike under 70 lbs
    - 4 paint colors, I prefer the red
    - adjustable handlebar height
    - 2 frame sizes to help get the right bike for your height
    - a 750 watt nominal power motor with 1100 watts peak for effortless hill climbing
    - 3 riding modes Eco, Trail, and Boost - with 5 levels of pedal assist on each mode for the ultimate ability to fine tune how much power the bike is giving you. You can ride slowly with ease on Eco mode, or dial it up to Trail mode, or crank it up to Boost for top speed thrills.
The Velotric Discover 2 is without a doubt the best ebike I've reviewed for a casual commuter style ride, especially for the price. The torque sensor is sublime, the riding position is excellent, the power is plentiful and controllable, The 27.5 inch wheels roll excellent and the adjustable front fork eats up the imperfections in the road, and the weight is right where you want it to be. Why would you buy any other commuter ebike? Get the Velotric Discover 2 ebike and enjoy your new adventures this riding season.
    ✅ My #1 Favorite Ebike w/ pedals:
This is like the "Trophy Truck" of ebikes, like a pick-up truck with a nitrous switch, huge and has ridiculous power, big 26" off road tires, and big plush suspension... you'll get more smiles per gallon instead of miles per gallon, don't watch this if you aren't preparred to drop $2k today:
    • This $2000 Ebike is IN... - Next Level 40+ MPH 😜🤙⚡️
✅ My #1 Favorite "Moped" style Ebike w/ pedals (The Corvette of ebikes: huge performance at a bargain price compared to more refined competitors like Lamborghini and Ferrari, wheels 20" wheels sit lower to the ground)
    • The NEW 43 MPH Billy G... - 43 MPH 😜🤙⚡️
Also consider the "Motor Goat V3"
✅ My Favorite "Cheap" and Legal 26" x 4" Fat Ebike (Think of this ebike is the Ford F150 of ebikes: popular, reliable, big, strong, not as polished as a G-Wagon but it can do 95% the same thing at a fraction of the price)
    • The BEST Fat Tire Ebik... - Strong, great practical ebike
✅ The "Toyota of Ebikes" (reliable, smaller size, good range, everything you need at a bargain price)
    • NEW Velotric Discover ... - Great Value
My Bike Rack for Car / SUV
bit.ly/bike-rack-for-car - I transported a fat tire ebike from Los Angeles to Seattle with this thing, it's super sturdy and great for fat tire ebikes!
    My Electric Tire Inflator:
    amzn.to/3NmfH3v - Life changing 😆⚡️🤙

If you want a “basic” commuter ebike I don’t see why you’d get any other bike, this thing is excellent.
    Two corrections to video:
At 12:57 - The mass production version of the Discover 2 does have a film for the TFT display which can be seen with polarized glasses
At 24:15 - I say “this bike is around $1800 bucks.” It's actually quite a bit less when you buy it here and use my discount code:

Do you know if the velotric Gen 1 batteries work with this version? I know you said it's like 703 who battery which is larger than Gen 1 battery.
Also, when you put it in turbo does it lessen the resistance noticeably? I want a bike to work out on (my level is almost too much work) but I also want it to be able to do a lot of the work like my cadence discover can do. 😊

Your ebike reviews are one of the best on RUclips. I like the list of performance test that you consistently do for all. bikes. I would like you to add a final test the next day with a fully charged battery that is pure flat street/cart path riding. Most riders will be doing this kind of riding and range matters if a true commuter ebike. Keep reporting your end of 1st day testing range in miles vs battery use as that is a good worst case scenario, but add the more realistic everyday range test.

It checks all my boxes for what I want in a bike! All the big companies have listened to reviews and customers. They're going UL listed, 750 watt hubs on lighter frames and a bit more battery power. Even with Velotics horrific customer service and the company plagued with quality control and poor management.....I'm still considering this bike. I like it.

This seems like a great bike. If I didn't just buy the Eahora Juliet for around the same price, I would have gotten this instead. I love my Juliet, it gets insane range, which was the primary reason that I bought it, but I can't lie, I do miss having a slim tire e-bike with a light weight to it. Even at the same speed, they just feel more nimble than large frame fat tire e-bikes. My old e-bike was a slim tire slim frame bike, and I never felt nervous passing people who were going slower than me. On my Juliet though, I opt to go slower and let people stay ahead of me simply because the bulk of the bike actually feels a bit more dangerous. You very much have to ride very straight and narrow on a bulky bike. I don't regret it, as the range was my priority, but I understand the appeal of slimer e-bikes that get less range.

I'd love to see some of these features show up as an upgrade to the T1 ST; namely, the richly featured rear tail light, the adjustable stem, the controller and screen with all these options,. If all that added 3 bs the T1 would still be a nice manageable 39 lbs A bit more battery would be nice but not essential. Please tell us that Velotric has that in the works for the T1 ST!

Wish Ebike manufacturers would add a frame mounted Auxilary (2nd) battery connection socket to allow adding a separate rear rack mounted battery for cruising/PAS 5 max power range. Control it through the display with manual selected 'Main' and 'Aux' icon. Running them separate eliminates electrical compatibility issues and is a quick change over. There are quality affordable aftermarket large capacity batteries in a rear rack format that would work great or strap on even cheaper frame mount ones. You could run the Aux most of the time and save on recharge cycles on that OEM battery. You never know how long the manufacturer will support replacement batteries and at what high cost. This I see as the next great evolution in ebikes, especially for commuter/delivery ebikes. I don't see the option on the Velotic Discover 2 webpage to buy a 2nd battery even now.

My area has a lot inclines at tunnels and bridges. 20 - 30 ft elevation changes with ramps approx. 150 ft. long. Problem is, the ramp entrances have sharp turns, so I can't build up much speed on approach. And, I'd need to maintain 20 - 25 mph to keep up with traffic. Does it seem that maybe the Discover 2 could handle it with me adding crank??? I've seen cadence sensor bikes zipping up those ramps. Just curious thow a torque sensor setup would perform, as I understand that it requires more effort from the rider.

Velotric's warranty statement for the battery, "The Battery is not warranted from damage resulting from power surges, use of an improper charger, improper maintenance or other such misuse, normal wear OR WATER DAMAGE". Mainly the controller. Even still, I wanted to see it myself because I love the look,750 watt hub motor, choice of red and price.. When I got to the Bike dealer, they said the Discover 2 can't be on the floor because of issues!!! I asked "controller issues"....they nodded yes. That confirms the complaints and now it's something I experienced in a way. Unfortunately I will pass on this. I'm probs going to settle on a 500 watt hub, a color I don't like and lower waterproof rating for a dependable trustworthy company/bike. Disappointed

I wouldn't buy any ebike with a LEFT THUMB THROTTLE! And, it seems most of the bikes you're reviewing anymore, and Left Thumb Throttles!

I'd feel like a gas bag poking at that with my thumbnail I like the choice of tire size and wheel on this bike
