    Hill test difference was really surprising. I didn't consider that although a bike may go fast, it's not something you should consider doing often as it'll drain your battery. Thanks for that. I didn't consider that. Very important. I'd rather have longer range. Therefore, top speed becomes less important decision making factor. Your videos are incredible!!! Thanks for much for your expertise

    Velotric has a policy of not posting negative reviews on its website. However, I purchased two bikes and left a one-star review for my purchased. After that, Velotric sent me an email stating that they reserve the right to select which reviews to post and which ones not to post. Thus, it is important for buyers to be aware of this policy.

    Thank you for this comparison, TailHappyTV! I purchased a Nomad 1 based on your review of it (comparing it to other bikes you'd reviewed), and I'm very glad that I did. The Aventon was a contender, but I'm looking for torque because I'll be riding in mountain terrain, thus torque matters much more to me than speed. Wish I could go with the Goat, but Nomad was in my price range so I went with it. Cheers!

    I don't know about the cadence sensor, but my Aventure.2 with the torque sensor is amazing for instant power. As soon as I start to pedal the power is there. It feels like it could pull the bike from under me because it grabs and moves so fast.

  • @TomWinKC
    @TomWinKC Год назад +7

    Riding an ebike with a torque sensor is a much more responsive experience and feels similar to riding a conventional bicycle. It is a smoother ride and more subtle when the motor engages. Therefore, torque sensors make a great option for those who enjoy and are used to the feeling of conventional cycling. It is the perfect transition from a traditional bike to an electric bike.
    Those who are regularly riding in hilly areas will immediately notice the benefits of an ebike with a torque sensor. On an incline, a torque-sensing ebike will automatically provide more assistance as you pedal harder and level out once you get to flat terrain. Alternatively, if you are going downhill, it may not provide any assistance. As a result, ebikes with torque sensors are much more efficient, have extended battery ranges and only deliver power when needed.

    Velotricbike It seems that this bike is not suitable for shorter individuals. I purchased the bike that is recommended for Rider Heights between 5’1” and 6’4”. Unfortunately, my wife and I, who are respectively 5'1" and 5'2", have to hop off the seat every time we come to a stop, which is uncomfortable and inconvenient. I tried to return the bike, but Velotricbike wants to keep $200 plus 20% of the purchase price, which is not a fair deal for me. Additionally, I have to pay for shipping, which only adds to the problem.

    I was wondering if you had any information on customizability? I'm considering the nomad due to how hilly my town is, but I'm not a fan of cruiser style bikes. Would it be fairly easy and safe to change out the handle bars on something like the nomad? Or would it be harmful to the electronics?

Can you explain if the strength is the only rational concern with step through or is that just old thinking not as applicable with the designs of these?

    Yes.. "Fast kills". Battery goes quick over 25 mph. Good to think about 20 ah plus battery size if you can go 25 plus on your bike, AKA my Kepler. Even 52V and 20 ah seems tiny on a 1,000 watt 35 mph bike. But no fear, you do 15-20 mph and only using bursts of throttle on occasion to cross intersections or getting out of the way of cars speeding up behind you and you can nicely do a 40 mile trip. 👍😎

    • @TailHappyTV
      @TailHappyTV  Год назад +3

      Even on my 72v Sur Ron I usually only go 15-20 with bursts like you mention, despite the massive 72v 38ah battery and it’s max speed of 70mph. Thanks for the comment!
