    I just bought my 2024 ram 2500 tradesman 2 weeks ago, got 4300 miles on it already, went on a 2000 mile road trip, mostly open highway, some city, average speed 75mph I averaged 19.3mpg’s. absolutely love it. Won’t be staying stock for long.

    I did a budget build on my 5th Gen but went with Thuren. 2” Thuren coils in the front w their overland shocks, 1” rear coils and their adjustable track bar. Couldn’t be happier.

    • @ANXYNT
      @ANXYNT 8 месяцев назад +1

      Same. But I went budget budget! Second hand never installed 2.75 in front coils. Found some Thuren Fox 2.0s with a couple thousand miles on FB market place. Had a buddy run thru them to check seals and pressures. 1” rear soft ride and the long travel removable bags. 35’s though because having a spare in the stock location was a must for me.

    • @tunaboost4801
      @tunaboost4801 8 месяцев назад +1

      @301cumminsI did a 1” raise (soft rate) and to be honest they are longer than stock when you set them side by side but it sits about stock height when the weight of the truck is on them, maybe 1/4” higher than stock. Ride is night and day though.

      @tunaboost4801 8 месяцев назад

      @301cumminsyes, a great improvement in ride. My friend has a 19 cummins as well but he has the rough country spacer (still running stock front springs and rear springs) and everytime he gets in mine he’s always impressed w the ride quality

    I’m on the poor side with the commuter leveling. Slowly building it up. Got the torsion sway bar, rear shackles, CJC methods , upper and lower steering stabilizers and Carli skid plate. 45 front on the Toyos 40 rear day and night difference to the 6” lift the previous owner had which rode terrible. Bds by the way don’t buy that junk. Saving up for radius arms and king 2.5 pintops. Then she will be close to done 😅. CJC and Carli top notch these guys have the best customer service. Like everything in life you get what you pay for.

    This is very similar to the setup on my 4th gen 2500 only difference is that I have chrome bumpers. The unloaded ride is great, but I’m considering only going with a level on my next truck and retaining the factory springs in the rear. If you spend most of your time unloaded the 3 1/4 Carli setup is the way to go, but the majority of my driving is with a load so I don’t get to enjoy the benefits of the softer ride enough, and my truck is borderline too tall to be loading and unloading regularly.

    Looking at the backcountry leveling kit. On a budget as well, as the Carli radius arms a must? Of with that only being a 2.5” am I ok to keep the stock ones?

    • @CJCOffRoad
      @CJCOffRoad  Месяц назад +1

      If you're tight on funds, keep the stock ones as the Carli arms are more of a cherry on top part. They're stronger, articulate/ride better, and add tire clearance, but you'll see more ride improvement from other parts like the torsion sway bar etc.

    so i have a 2012 2500 mega cab. I dont tow and i dont carry anything in the bed... maybe at some point ill put one of those deployable tents... my only goal is to make it a soft ride. What kit would be best for that? the same? commuter?...is there something a bit more budgety? haha.... and, i've saw the banks intake elbow in your website, can i do a delete WITH that new elbow intake?

    • @CJCOffRoad
      @CJCOffRoad  8 месяцев назад +1

      If you want bang for the buck, the best option for your year is the Carli Signature Series system. It's a killer ride improvement per dollar spent. As for the intake elbow, yes you can depending on your EGR setup. www.cjcoffroad.com/collections/carli23/products/carli-dodge-ram-1994-2012-2500-3500-starter-system

    I'm local with a stock new to me 2018 RAM 3500 Tradesman so I'm paying close attention :) Is there any sort of rule in terms of still fitting into parking garages? Picked up my daughter from Long Beach airport the other day and height limit was 7'. My truck currently stands at roughly 78". Not much margin for error or lift.

    • @unknown_truckers
      @unknown_truckers 8 месяцев назад +1

      3 inch lifts will fit in most parking garages, but ideally stick to 35s and under if you want the suspension and you'll still fit in most places throughout the city.

      @CJCOffRoad  8 месяцев назад +1

      Our rule is that with this 3.25" system and 37s, a 7 foot door is off limits but an 8 foot is no problem. You can usually JUST squeeze under a 7 foot door but it's too close for comfort. 35s buy you a little more wiggle room.
