    I'm curious about the last degree of Leo specifically. My son has an exact 29 degree grand fire trine between his sun in Leo, moon in Aries, and Pluto in Sagittarius. He's an intense kid and a force for sure! Extremely light soul and lucky too. But he has some tough squares and I think in this life he is dealing with managing intensity of his emotions.... I look to that trine energy as his ticket to figuring it out, especially with pluto there. But meanwhile from my mom standpoint I'm working on understanding the degrees of Leo energy better

      The 29th degree of Leo is associated with Regulus, which is said to signify honor and is the root of the word regal

    Insightful discussion, as always!
    At your convenience if you would discuss the concept of planetary location being best “oriental to the Sun and occidental to the moon.” (Jean Baptist’s Morin by way of Demeter George) I can picture that state occurring twice: during day if both lights are above the AC/DC horizon and during night if both lights are below the AC/DC. Am I seeing this clearly? How/why would those states be more generally benefic? THANKS for all your thoughtful discussion!

    I was actually looking for an astrology podcast on degrees so I looked only to find I just listened to the one linked which is what made me look into degrees to begin with; figured I’d share that humorous brain hiccup story.
    I had a funny synchronicity pointing at Jupiter (to look closer at it in natal) which has been entertaining and not so because Jupiter is one of my least favorite planets. Jupiter in cancer 11th at 26 degrees. I was looking at profections looking for patterns where there’s obviously many while some events setting a theme happen months earlier, I set a transit time up to a 11th house year by another date of a 3rd house where the 11th house profection mixed with transits are.. sort of.. 😳. I try to avoid predictive astrology in those ways. I also prefer to shift birth times holding multiple placements which slightly alters degrees where I’d personally prefer to not use them unless nothing moves by much. I was born cesarean and I’ve found typos my birth certificate.
    Anyways, focusing on one planet that’s beautifully placed to figure out what’s up with it has been quite informative.
    So far the funniest thing related to degrees is if you looked at an overall theme of chart, match that with social climate with extremist views which are inflated now, see a potential for large growth with a midheaven at 22 degrees gemini.. 22 degrees was an interesting astro theory.

    Sorry to clarify thought I heard you say toward the beginning that minutes are not taken or figured literally? But, so then are actual minutes not used as timing measurement of the degrees?, (60 per degree). Thank you!

    • @allisonsaupe
      @allisonsaupe 4 года назад

      Guessing you say not literal because the degrees may vary in the timing, depending which point in the zodiac is being considered. Still learning though, thanks again for videos and feedback.

    • @Adam-Elenbaas
      @Adam-Elenbaas  4 года назад

      Correct - for example, it doesn't take 60 minutes (in clock time) for each planet to move one degree. It takes just over 24 hours for the Sun to move 1 degree, so each of those 60 "minutes" for the Sun is equivalent to around half an hour of clock time. It varies for each planet. Hope that's clear!

    Hi there, quick question to clarify: do you always round up to the next degree, for example, the exalted degree in Aries is 18-degrees but it's 19th? Or if a planet is 0-degrees, it's automatically 1 or does the minutes factor into it, like you round up after 30-minutes within a degree? Thank you!

    • @Adam-Elenbaas
      @Adam-Elenbaas  4 года назад +1

      No, this is just something left over from the original texts - always go by the exact degree (and minutes) if possible!

    • @TheSusustudio
      @TheSusustudio 4 года назад

      @@Adam-Elenbaas Thank you! Follow up question: I'm not sure if you've heard of this book "Inside Degrees: Developing Your Soul Bio Using the Chandra Symbols" by Ellias Lonsdale, but I was told by a different astrologer to always "round up" to the next degree. But that seemed like a blanket statement. Like, if the Sun is in Aries 18-degrees and 3 minutes, it's closer to 18 than 19. So would you advise to read both 18/19 in a text like this? Thank you!

    Can anyone weigh in on something another astrologer said, that having 3 planets at 0 degrees makes one an ascended master? That doesn't feel right to me, but I have a friend who is pretty happy about hearing that. :)
