Is OSAS Biblical? Yes! Just in case you think otherwise. Once a person is saved are they always saved? Yes, when people come to know Christ as their Savior, they are brought into a relationship with God that guarantees their salvation as eternally secure. To be clear, salvation is more than saying a prayer or “making a decision” for Christ; salvation is a sovereign act of God whereby an unregenerate sinner is washed, renewed, and born again by the Holy Spirit (John 3:3; Titus 3:5). When salvation occurs, God gives the forgiven sinner a new heart and puts a new spirit within him (Ezekiel 36:26). The Spirit will cause the saved person to walk in obedience to God’s Word (Ezekiel 36:26-27; James 2:26). Numerous passages of Scripture declare the fact that, as an act of God, salvation is secure: It is hypocritical for self-righteous religious people today to condemn those who maintain the simplicity of the Biblical Gospel, i.e., we are guilty sinners and Jesus is the Savior. Those who believe on Jesus to have their sins forgiven are saved! There is no other Gospel. Lordship Salvation and the heresy that salvation can be lost are wicked, rotten and straight out of the pits of Hell.
No it's was just wondering if we ended up in the same conclusion I also agree in once saved always saved , one thing I've notices that it's the most hated view but wow thank you guys
I don't use the phrase Once saved, always saved, because that particular phrase isn't in the Bible, but I do believe the Bible teaches that when a person is truly born again, he cannot fall out of salvation. Rather God keeps His people and grants them perseverance. Jesus Himself said that when. a person believes, he passes out of death into life. (Jn. 5:24) That's a secure statement!

Colleen, an excellent presentation! Our salvation is all about Christ's work on the cross and the New Covenant the Father and the Son brought to mankind, sealed by the blood of Jesus. Adventists, please stop with the notion of grace plus works. You are destroying lives and are accountable to God.

Colleen, I have been here for a bit and i feel like there is much fixation on error than truth. Instead of framing it around the faulty areas. Why not theme sessions on the correct doctrine instead and pull out an example of the falsehoods from the wealth of books and other literature in the SDA. That way, it doesn't look and feel like you are just a reactionary movement. Just suggesting.
I think Colleen is ex SDA, so I'm not sure she would want to promote any SDA literature as being correct. The mission seems to be to point out what they believe is error while presenting a false view that is contrary to scripture in its place.
