I am not SDA, but Church of God 7th Day. I will say that if anyone says "if you hear this spoken, then run", it simply tells us that they do not want anyone to hear opposing ideas, and you have to believe as they do. Paul told us to study for ourselves.
The very near future will reveal the truth of SDA interpretation, that revelation will result in the Loud Cry of the 4th angel [Revelation 18] because so many eyes will be opened to the truth.

@JamieElison in the old testament a lamb was a symbol for for a savior aka Jesus Christ, and yes on the spot your sins was forgiven, but why was there a need to clean the sanctuary once a year. And remember moses was told to build the sanctuary as he was shown paul clarify that matter in Hebrews chapters 7 to 11. Or can you explain the cleaning of the sanctuary in the book of Daniel 8?

I didn't grow up SDA but became one at age 23. I was raised in a nominal church and first accepted Jesus as my Saviour at Baptist Bible camp when I was 10. After some teenage foolishness, I wanted to come back to God and studied with Pentecostals at age 20. By then I'd read the Bible cover to cover and their doctrines were putting red flags up in my heart. What I found studying with my wife and her pastor was a complete circle of truth where each truth relates to every other and back to the cross. Adventism is the truth, hands down, for sure! While I have been greatly blessed by this background theme we call "The Great Controversy", I do know as a church that we don't always do the best job of describing it. Our focus is usually showing how the doctrines we teach and our place in the world fit in with this theme. People from other denominations are left to wonder where and how what we teach relates to the cross and the born again message. This video provides some good material for that tie in. What we need to do in order to give our enemies no excuse is word things in a way to help them understand we do believe in the born again message of justification by faith and that all our unique 'unorthodox' doctrines spring forth out of that experience. A truly converted person will want to obey God. The false gospel of the evangelicals teaches God's love gives them permission to sin. The only reason they preach this is to avoid the Sabbath. Yet when you get right down to it, that theology is what is responsible for gay marriage, pornography, drugs and the rest of the sins of the left.
To say the same thing another way, too much of our theology is designed to win doctrinal arguments with people already converted from other churches. We take their conversion for granted and just go straight to the Sabbath, truth about death, sanctuary etc.
@@MrLesonfireforGod You are correct. 👍 Even many current SDA leaders (whom I listen to on podcasts) often point that Adventists engage in "sheep stealing" rather than doing the real groundwork that other Christian groups do in leading people to Christ. SDA evangelism is primarily the "Revelation Seminars" or some apocalyptically focused form of evangelism attempting to lead people to the "right day" of the week to worship God on. You rarely see Adventist street preachers out in the gutters of humanity. If you do, they usually have a microphone and copy of the Great Controversy to hand out. As I said in several recent videos there, these 'anticult' ministries are rude people who think they're better than others. These groups have obviously never read Acts chapter 5:33-39. Whether or not I agree with a different religion, I'm here to put forth what I believe as positively as I can, showing how the love of Jesus fits with our doctrines. But sometimes true love is tough love, so here goes some words just for you sir. A set of meetings in a public venue where anyone can come is free speech, not sheep stealing. We don't know who is from what church the moment they walk in the door. I told a story in my video on Christ's wilderness experience of a Pentecostal pastor who was exposed to six different views on the rapture before coming to a prophecy seminar and later joining the Adventist church. Six different views on a teaching of Futurism? Well at least five of them are wrong as I said in the video. What I didn't say, was that pastor's story also included a great deal of time trying to find the rapture in the Bible before coming to that seminar because he was writing a book on end time events. When he listened to the Adventist speaker and saw the line of biblical reasoning he said to his wife they were both finally getting truth on the second coming. We follow the Historicist method of prophetic interpretation. Futurists have to use the day for a year principle to get a date for Daniel 9:24-27 and they then ignore the rule for everything else. When they can't make Daniel 8:14 fit with a futurist interpretation, they jump over to Preterism and say it was Antiochus Epiphanes. Historicism gives us an understanding of the value of church history as it unfolded that Futurists simply gloss over. The essential idea of a Sunday law is a return to the dark ages in our modern time. That's what the image of the beast is all about, being like the corrupt church was back then. The law will be proof to the universe that intellectual, political and social development is not enough to save the world. Spiritual corruption can still happen even in our time. And since you don't believe, who's side will you be on? Will the love of Jesus be in you when so many around you are willing to kill for Sunday and we are willing to die for the Sabbath?

(I think you had politely asked for us to end our discussion on your channel some time ago). By the way, I initially stumbled across your channel because you had made a video defending the "Shut Door" doctrine. (There are very few videos on the topic of the Shut Door). I know it may seem to you that people like me are coming out of nowhere on some form of attack against Adventism. May I say that when I am speaking with Adventists one on one, I am much softer in my approach. However, when posting comments I have found that I have to be much more straightforward in my approach, otherwise SDAs seem to miss the problem. In short, SDAs have theology that is hostile towards other Christians. They need to be made aware of this inherent hostility and slander towards the rest of the Body of Christ that is built into their eschatology, otherwise SDAs will simply carry on with it, with no shame or self-reflection. Adventists should expect righteous pushback of such slander towards other Christians And this is the real problem with the notion of a Sunday law. It is designed to elevate the Adventist denomination to a uniquely special status by causing disdain for other members of the Body of Christ who are labeled the bad guys and the real enemies of Christ. The level of disdain rises to the point where these supposed "Sunday keepers" will apparently seek to enact legislation that ultimately requires putting to death others for merely observing the 7th-day as Sabbath (something the Jews have for thousands of years). These non-7th-day Sabbatarian Christians (who had prior been both God-loving and God-fearing) will somehow suddenly lose their entire moral compass and abandon Christ's command to "love even your enemies'', at which point they will come gunning for the Adventists by enforcing a national/universal Sunday law. I am sorry but this notion is completely preposterous and wreaks of severe paranoia. Just look at the question you asked me. You asked *"Will the love of Jesus be in you when so many around you are WILLING TO KILL FOR SUNDAY and we are willing to die for the Sabbath?"* Please notice. You seem to believe that you are moral enough that you would never kill someone over this matter, but yet you think other Christians will. Why do you SDAs just automatically assume the absolute WORST in other Christians? (My suspicion is that SDAs don't really think other Christians are true Christians to begin with). It should be noted that there is *no evidence that Sunday-keeping Christians have the least inclination to persecute Sabbath-keepers over their day of worship* . Most Christians today would be appalled at the very thought of persecuting another Christian to death over a doctrinal issue. Rather these other Christians will fight for the right for SDAs to worship as they wish. This notion of killing people over Sunday worship is a *completely hyperbolic* and unwarranted consideration to even consider. I have been intensely studying the Sunday law for the last four years, and we from history that the type of Sunday law that SDAs imagine *has never occurred* . Sure there have been blue laws since the Edict of Milan, but we see no real "forceful type" of Sunday blue laws UNTIL the Protestant reformation. The Roman Catholics had no such laws demanding people to attend church on Sundays with the threat of the death penalty. This sort of legalism developed under the charters of some of the first colonies in the north America. For example under the Virginia colony charter there was a death penalty associated for repeatedly breaking a Sunday law. However I could not find *ANY* documented case that anyone anywhere was ever executed for disobeying such a law. If such a thing happened we should have plenty of documented historical accounts of it. Since I could find no evidence in my own studies if such atrocities, I finally asked A.I. to confirm OR disprove my own findings (and you can do the same). I asked *"Has anyone ever been executed due to a Sunday law?"* Answer: *_"No, there is no historical record of anyone being executed specifically due to a Sunday law_*_ . While there have been instances of wrongful executions and controversial cases throughout history, none of them are directly attributed to a Sunday law. The concept of Sunday laws typically pertains to regulations or restrictions related to activities on Sundays, rather than being directly linked to executions. Therefore, there is no evidence to support the claim that anyone has been executed due to a Sunday law"_ . If you notice, this finding is quite contrary to the Adventist narrative that constantly proclaims that "what was done in the past will happen again in the near future." Therefore is stands that the Adventist narrative is false, and completely exaggerated. If you think otherwise, please show actual historical accounts of people being put to death due to Sunday law. If there’s no Great Controversy between Christ and Satan. That means they are just simply working together and hell is just a place God sends you to, that is ruled by Satan and his demons and they roast you with a fork in hell fire for eternity. Satan is in charge of hell, and God is in cooperation with him to punish sinners for eternity even though Satan is the one that caused man to sin in the first place. (Is this still orthodox Christian belief?) Yeah… I’ll take the Adventist “unbiblical doctrine” any day.

God is righteous and just Satan is a murder, a liar and the Father of murder and lies. Are you saying there is no conflict between these two persons? The Roman Catholic portrayal of hell is a place of eternal torment ruled by Satan. And in that view God “sends”you to hell. And if Satan is the ruler of hell God is cooperating with him to torment the souls of the lost for eternity. In fact this is how the media mostly portrays God and Satan based on what Christianity says. How can a righteous, loving, and just God, not have a controversy with the literal creator of lies, murders, unrighteousness and injustice. And if they are not in conflict, then the opposite would be agreement. How can you reconcile the righteousness and just attributes of God if he’s a co-conspirator with Satan? The majority of Christians believe in the eternal soul, and heaven and hell are just places, you go immediately after death. If there is no controversy between God and Satan. Then that means life will continue on Earth, there is no end to sin, God allows Satan to tempt man to sin, and then sends man to hell. Have you ever seen Christians who become atheist? Thanks again for another thought provoking presentation of the truth. We also see a contrast with the critics of our church. Christians like you base your presentations on the Bible with scripture to back up what you say, and the critics attack you and others SDAs with name calling and statements with no Bible proof. Jesus never attacked and insulted others, and those who follow Him will act like Him. We don't need to respond to attackers because their fruits tell us they are the children of the devil. You know brother, I love being a Seventh Day Adventist for one reason only and it’s not because of Ellen G White, it’s not because SOME sevy’s talk and focus about end times or even the three angels message. I appreciate the clarity of the presentation. In order for humanity to reject sin and Satan we must see the contrast between the principles of heaven and the principles of darkness. Viewing the sacrifice of Christ on the cross and recognizing that Satan relished in His Creator’s suffering and shame uproots all sympathy for that fallen angel called the devil and Satan. @@statutesofthelord We can recognize false doctrine initiated by Satan--unless we are fooled. Just look at the history of the "Shut door" doctrine. Wallowing in the mire of the “great disappointment”, a quote from William Miller in the December 11, 1844 edition of the Advent Herald said this: _“We have done our work in warning sinners, and in trying to awake a formal church. God, in his providence, has shut the door; and we can only stir one another up to be patient, and be diligent to make our calling and election sure"_ . During this time these disappointed Millerites did not believe it necessary or even possible to reach out to the lost, who had rejected William Miller's final call. *Salvation was only open to those who had accepted the message of William Miller* . During this time they did no evangelizing, a period which lasted over 6 years! The little flock remained little, and according to them, the entire outside world had missed the boat, lost to God's mercy. The Shut door doctrine has since been abandoned by the Adventist church, and it has been acknowledged as some sort of "mistake" , and rightfully so. Nevertheless, the implications are significant. It shows us that the early Adventist pioneers got it wrong, and we need to be honest in describing what was taking place back then. These disappointed Millerites were suffering from great cognitive dissonance due to their error in trying to predict Christ's second coming. In addition they had developed a severe persecution complex as they faced backlash from other Christians whom they had previously label as being in “Babylon” for their disbelief in Miller's prediction. To stave off all the negativity going on, these early pioneers of Adventism found it easier to maintain their own rightness on this matter by doubling down and condemning other Christians.

You know Adventists make the claim that Ellen White is one of the most prolific writers on the planet and that she has been largely read by so many. I have yet to meet one person who has read the Great Controversy and is not a Seventh-day Adventist. Nobody reads Ellen White except for SDAs.
SDAs ask us to read Job 1:6 for their support of *"BEINGS ON OTHER PLANETS"* Here is Job 1:6 _"Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them"_ A quick study of the term "sons of God" show that it is used in either speaking of men or sometimes angels. There is nothing about beings on other planets. Also if beings on other planet's exist, then we open up a whole other can of worms with this idea. These beings would presumably have freewill, like men and angels. Thus they would have the ability to potentially fall into sin (as both men and angels have). And we certainly have absolutely NO knowledge of these other beings passing some sort of test. This is pure presumption on the part of Adventists on both accounts. We could easily just as well assume that some of these other beings might also have fallen. If that is the case then the Godhead would have to have have yet ANOTHER manifestation of "God in the flesh" on one of these other planets to redeem them from their sin (for the atonement on earth was for only Adam's offspring). Thus we would have something now beyond the concept of the Trinity to accomplish such a thing. Perhaps a "Quadrinity" or more. There might be a "third Adam" or a "fourth" and so on. Additionally, we know per Revelation 21:3 that God is going to dwell forever only with mankind on earth, so how come the rest of the universe gets jipped out of this special privilege? Another problem that would be difficult, if not impossible to reconcile, is for the beings on other planets to keep the same Sabbath command. After all, unless they had the exact same sized planet revolving around a exactly same sized sun at the same distance, etc., then the Sabbath would become relative, and NOT the same as the Sabbath that God Himself rested on after He created the heavens and the earth. Also there are other problems that we get into if we maintain that there are beings on other planets who ALSO supposedly follow God's "eternal" Ten Commandments (which Adventists maintain is the case). For example the command to _"Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land that the LORD your God is giving you"_ . If such other beings existed, we have to ask were they also taken out of their own separate Egypt(s) with the promise _"that your days may be long in the land that the LORD your God is giving you"?_ What lands were being given to these other supposed beings, and why would they have promises to "live long" in such places if death were not part of their existence? And of course there are many additional problems we could explore if we go down this road. Now certainly you can believe what you want about the existence of beings on other planets. It doesn't effect me or other Christians, but it does effect "the Great Controversy" scenario and bring it into scrutiny (which is the topic of this video). Christians certainly have problems with the concept of a "heavenly court" being necessary to acquit God's character. *No one sits in judgement of God's actions* . That is what the book of Job is all about.
As usual, the SDA doctrine is almost true but not quite. 1. The traditional Christian view is that God has His timeline set as to when He will stop history and it is necessary that the humans who live up until that point have the choice to side with God or His enemy. It is no great mystery. 2. The angels loyal to God and human believers in Christ do not need to see any more of Satan and his activities to understand the contrast between God's character and evil character, since the Cross, because we have personal access to God and can know Him directly which is enough. 3. Therefore the Investigative Judgement in which SDA claims the angels and inhabitants of unfallen worlds need to see a replay of all the sin and evil caused by Satan and company to know that God is just, is unnecessary. The contrast was already displayed at the Cross, when evil vilely brutalized and murdered the Innocent Lord of All, who never repaid them with evil.
Your premise, that the universe needs to see the contrast, resonates with me. Every time Satan orchestrates torture and death for innocents, it's another nail in his coffin.

Our god is a merciful god therefore it has to be portrait to people that the god we believe sees into the future, knows what humans will conclude if god had killed satan. Therefore the controversy is there us to realise the magnitude of the mercy and grace of god. Choose ye this day whom you will serve. God has left the onus on men kind.
So SDA's if you are worried about Sunday Laws and being hunted and persecuted for being Sabbath keepers and get the mark of the beast and lose your end time special seal ( all these unbiblical ideas were from J. Bates, Uriah Smith, and a few others) take comfort. Your prophet has the solution. In Testomonies vol 9 p. 232-238, she explains what they did in Australia . Just blend in. Have evangelistic meetings, do missionary work, etc. So what's the difference between what she is prescribing and what the apostates are currently doing. According to your logic, that would make you part of the whore of Babylon which all your leaders are adamantly teaching you to avoid. Please explain.
If you have read or decide to read the Great Controversy book, take note of chapter 28 which speaks about the Judgement, read chapter 39 which speaks about Gods people having to stand alone on this earth without Christ for a period of time prior to Christ’s second coming. You then must have a good knowledge of the Gospel and with that, you will see serious deception, false doctrine. Read out of curiosity, do what you like, but…the Holy Spirit open your eyes to very deceptive passages throughout the book. Ask God for spiritual insight. ❤
No, don't misunderstand us. Christ said He will never leave or forsake us . But Hiis work as mediator will one day cease. That is why it says in Revelation, "Let him who is holy be holy still, and let him who is evil be evil still." Jesus said, "As it was in the days of Noahh, so shall it be in the latter days." Seven days before the flood came, Noah and his family moved into the Ark and God shut the door. Evil men continued living, but it was too late to change course. That's how it will be in the last days, when Jesus stands up and ceases his meditorial work, just prior to His appearing. People will continue living, not being aware that the day of salvation has ended.
Unfortunately, many people who watch this and other videos, have already decided for themselves what truth is. Because of this they are unwilling to entertain the idea that what they reguard as truth, may actually be a lie. In the end they may find themselves waring against God. One author puts it this way; While God has given ample evidence for faith, He will never remove all excuse for unbelief. All who look for hooks to hang their doubts upon will find them. And those who refuse to accept and obey God’s word until every objection has been removed, and there is no longer an opportunity for doubt, will never come to the light.
Daniel 8:14, "And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed." Leviticus 16: 20-22, "And when he hath made an end of reconciling the holy place, and the tabernacle of the congregation, and the altar, he shall bring the live goat: And Aaron shall lay both his hands upon the head of the live goat, and confess over him all the iniquities of the children of Israel, and all their transgressions in all their sins, putting them upon the head of the goat, and shall send him away by the hand of a fit man into the wilderness: And the goat shall bear upon him all their iniquities unto a land not inhabited: and he shall let go the goat in the wilderness." The goat that represents Jesus dies, but the one that represents Satan is sent into the wilderness. The sins that Christ died for shall ultimately be placed on Satan the one who is the cause of all sin, and he will be sent into the wilderness until his head is crushed by Jesus who puts all sins on him. Jesus died for our sins on the cross. Satan did not die for our sins, but they will be placed on him because he has to pay for all the dirt he has done to Jesus and us. Those who choose Christ have the blood of His sacrifice to pay for their sins, but those who do not accept will not be covered by His blood, and they will be destroyed like Satan. The earthly sanctuary was a pattern of the heavenly sanctuary, which shows us God plan for ridding the world of sin. "Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens; 2 A minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man. 3 For every high priest is ordained to offer gifts and sacrifices: wherefore it is of necessity that this man have somewhat also to offer. 4 For if he were on earth, he should not be a priest, seeing that there are priests that offer gifts according to the law: 5 Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount" Hebrews 8:1-5. Also, read Leviticus 16. Here is the 30- second answer: they will be placed on Satan, causing his head to be crushed as promised in Genesis 3:15, but some people won't understand that answer without the background, so I gave that too. And how are you going to get to October the 22nd 1844 with 2300 from Ezra chapter 7 verse 9. ?A 12 year old kid could tell you that what you wrote up there is absolute lies. What you just wrote up there... is there cannot possibly be any sins on the cross 1st Peter 2:24 !!!..because( the first Goat does not bear any sins)! in Leviticus! Reading a book is not a problem to me. We can read the great controversy as we can read the apocrypha. The problem is when we consider these books as inspired. I am not an orthodox either, I am just a follower of Christ who is living under his amazing grace while keeping his commandments. Why are we so eager to create doctrine, add ideas to the bible. Just study the bible to be mature in the word but do not add to the word of God. When we are too philosophical we deviate from the bible....

The Great Controversy contains a lot of history as well as insights into what to be expected in the near future. It merely defines what scripture has made known so we can see more fully what lays behind the curtain that Satan has pulled over most people's eyes like a shroud.

I know I am just a regular person on here. Where most will not care, even though they should, because anyone who's supposed to be a person of God and wants to share the gospel as Jesus called us to do, then we're called to do it. But the gospel does not just involve John. 316 people so easily misunderstand that because they don't pay attention to all of John 316, they only pay attention to the part they want to part of that even includes about death, if you really pay attention to John 316. It says a lot more than people think it is about just the grace. We're accepting the gift, but that's between you and God, you need to study that out. I can't prove that to you no matter how easily I show you all the scriptures. If you're blind, you're blind. As for the great controversy, I as next Catholic for 30 years, who was born into the faith and had many questions since I was 8 years old, because I knew things weren't right. There were many things wrong going on within that church. Learning everything from how salvation is understood. To the confessional to the state of the dead and so many other things, even at 8 years old, God allowed me to know there are things wrong. But until I read my mom's Catholic Bible for the first time, around 28 years old, even in the books of the Bible that don't belong, they really shouldn't be there like Tobit and so forth. Guard through his wisdom of the Holy Spirit. Led me through that Bible. Step-by-step with my eyes so wonderfully open and that light bulb going off in my head saying? Yes, that's the questions I have been asking all these years, and it's right there in the word, but because, as a Catholic, we didn't read the word. We only heard a verse here or there. You know, from the priest or from elector or etc. How can you put scripture together in context? When you literally hear 2 versus maybe AA mass other than the so-called scripture, they use en mass for the mass. Now, they don't really use scripture, they use their interpretation of events. Out of scripture, big difference and their interpretations are really backwards and maligned. Long before I became a 7th day Adventist. And by the way, I'm right here to admit as a 70 event, as the church as a whole is falling into apostasy, meaning the leadership. And I can prove that, unfortunately, like the Bible foretold, but the people of God in the seventh Avengers church, the people of other churches who are of God Remember the Bible didn't say anything about being a denomination. Heaven it just says the people of God are the church of God, so that's anyone that comes out of her. My people falsehood and follows Christ, we'll walk into heaven with him in the air dead and Christ rice first, then the ones who are alive in Christ will rise with them in the air. . The great controversy which I've read for myself several times has the truth. It says it has now Ellen white. I do believe was a prophetess. I don't put her on the same plane, obviously as Christ. No one should no 1 should put any profit from the Bible on the same plane as Christ. That's the whole point. Christ is Christ. Our profit is just a profit. No one's special, she hears. How said that she's only the lesser light, just like the other prophets were okay. It's that simple, but she was giving truth now. Whether you believe Ellen, white or not, is not my point here. My point is you guys all use these little attacks on things that don't even exist. So you can create bigger attacks, so you can just try to discredit discredit. Anything the church teaches okay, but as I said, and I was honest the church itself. The leadership is falling into apostasy, hopefully they'll snap out of it. And individuals of that leadership will come back to guard if they don't, that's their free will. But I, as a person of God who no longer has leadership, because I stood up for truth will not leave truth is that clear now, I hope it's clear to everyone here whether your 7th day event is Catholic mormon. I don't give a crap, make it clear. I follow God.
Unfortunately, as best as you tried, you didn't scratch the surface of what this Great Controversy is, why it began, and HOW those teachings and statements of Ellen White and the SDA pioneers about it are biblically correct.

Why do you reference a book someone wrote ? Instead of the Bible the only book that has authority ? What is the book, chapter and verse from the Bible that correspond to what your saying ?
I said nothing about 1844. I quoted Bible and gave explanations for the scriptures, and it is obvious you don't agree, so I have no more to say other than why don't you explain what all those texts mean that you quoted but did not explain. I know what I believe, and refuse to argue about the scripture because the purpose of the scriptures is to bring unity to the body of Christ, but critics only want to argue and ridicule. A string of questions is not an answer to your original question, which I answered. Since you understand the plan of salvation, why don't you explain the sanctuary service as it relates to Jesus' work of atonement, what the two goats stand for, and why the Bible speaks of a high priest in a Heavenly sanctuary. Who is He? and what is He doing up there? And for the sake of understanding, please don't just drop scriptures, explain what they mean. And why don't you start with that 30 minute answer to your original question.
*"The universe is watching this Earth"* This is pure supposition. Where do we find this concept in the Bible? (It's not in 2 Cor chapter 4). Also, the presence of "men and angels" in our universe is one thing, but the notion of people on other planets is never spoken of anywhere in the Bible.

There is nothing about beings on other planets. (By the way, I read 2 Cor 4 as you pointed out, and I did not find what you quoted in the video. Perhaps it is somewhere else in the Bible) Also if beings on other planet's exist, then we open up a whole other can of worms with this idea. These beings would presumably have freewill, like men and angels. Thus they would have the ability to potentially fall into sin (as both men and angels have). And we certainly have absolutely NO knowledge of these other beings passing some sort of test. This is pure presumption on the part of Adventists on both accounts. We could easily just as well assume that some of these other beings might also have fallen. If that is the case then the Godhead would have to have have yet ANOTHER manifestation of "God in the flesh" on one of these other planets to redeem them from their sin (for the atonement on earth was for only Adam's offspring). Thus we would have something now beyond the concept of the Trinity to accomplish such a thing. Perhaps a "Quadrinity" or more. There might be a "third Adam" or a "fourth" and so on. Additionally, we know per Revelation 21:3 that God is going to dwell forever only with mankind on earth, so how come the rest of the universe gets jipped out of this special privilege? Another problem that would be difficult, if not impossible to reconcile, is for the beings on other planets to keep the same Sabbath command. After all, unless they had the exact same sized planet revolving around a exactly same sized sun at the same distance, etc., then the Sabbath would become relative, and NOT the same as the Sabbath that God Himself rested on after He created the heavens and the earth. Also there are other problems that we get into if we maintain that there are beings on other planets who ALSO supposedly follow God's "eternal" Ten Commandments (which Adventists maintain is the case). For example the command to _"Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land that the LORD your God is giving you"_ . If such other beings existed, we have to ask were they also taken out of their own separate Egypt(s) with the promise _"that your days may be long in the land that the LORD your God is giving you"?_ What lands were being given to these other supposed beings, and why would they have promises to "live long" in such places if death were not part of their existence? And of course there are many additional problems we could explore if we go down this road. Now certainly you can believe what you want about the existence of beings on other planets. It doesn't effect me or other Christians, but it does effect "the Great Controversy" scenario and bring it into scrutiny. Christians certainly have problems with the concept of a "heavenly court" being necessary to acquit God's character. *No one sits in judgement of God's actions* . That is what the book of Job is all about.
If the Bible doesn't mean there are living beings in other places in 2 Cor. 4, Eph. 1, Job 1 and other passages, then what does it mean? And where do you suppose Elijah, Moses, Enoch and the resurrected saints from Matt. 27 are? Anyway, you're missing the point. These are just tiny details. The real story is that Jesus died for you and me, that He wants us to follow Him and die to self, and that Satan is the mastermind behind all evil. He wants you to miss these truths and die the second death.
Why are there channels like this dedicated to defending Adventism? Would you prefer that only SDAs to watch these videos? Do you really want to only see Seventh-day Adventists glad-handing each other in the comment sections?

Correction: Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr, not Martin Luther King. The controversy/contrast was settled at the cross by Christ. So, if SDA were for equity and justice, why did EGW approve separate, but equal evangelism, in the south? Instead of reading other books, why not read what Dr. King read, the KJV Bible, particularly Isaiah, chapters 1-33. Isaiah asks who has chosen you and whom do you choose? There's your contrast, in scripture. Isaiah was 2700 years ahead of EGW. Choose Christ. The commonwealth of Israel explains it better and simpler. Looking fwd to your next video. 4th Commandment. The Great Controversy can be explained in two simple ideas. It's true righteousness by faith and world history from God's point of view. For those who reject it, they do so because of an infantile understanding of the Scriptures. For us, the Bible's storyline is God against Satan, each trying to use their people. For them, it's Israel against the Philistines. They only see the human side of the experience. Further to the world history concept: Satan spent 4000 years trying to tell the universe he was the real victim until Christ came down and "outvictimed" him on the cross. And when He went back to heaven, the conflict between good and evil was taken to the next level as church history was a repeat of Old Testament Israel's history. The time of the Judges parallels the early church where the persecution was from without and there was no central leader. The time of the kings is paralleled by the rise of the Vatican. Most Pope's were corrupt and the persecution now was within the faith. On true righteousness by faith: There's one way to be saved, the total surrender of ourselves to God whereby allowing Him to work in us to give us the ability to obey Him out of love. It's not just all the do's and don'ts. It's the kindness with which we apply them to all around us. There's two ways to be lost. One is the way of open sin. The other is the way of self-righteousness, trying to obey God in your own strength, according to your own definition of what constitutes right and wrong, a definition which differs from His in some way.
The Great Controversy has a "third" aspect, and that is the importance of keeping the Sabbath. This becomes so important that one's very salvation is dependent upon keeping it at the end of time.

I am not SDA, but Church of God 7th Day. I will say that if anyone says "if you hear this spoken, then run", it simply tells us that they do not want anyone to hear opposing ideas, and you have to believe as they do. Paul told us to study for ourselves.
Are you familiar with Dirk Anderson? (He is COG 7th Day as well). He speaks strongly against the writings of EGW and the notion of the Sunday law.
The very near future will reveal the truth of SDA interpretation, that revelation will result in the Loud Cry of the 4th angel [Revelation 18] because so many eyes will be opened to the truth.

@JamieElison in the old testament a lamb was a symbol for for a savior aka Jesus Christ, and yes on the spot your sins was forgiven, but why was there a need to clean the sanctuary once a year. And remember moses was told to build the sanctuary as he was shown paul clarify that matter in Hebrews chapters 7 to 11. Or can you explain the cleaning of the sanctuary in the book of Daniel 8?

I didn't grow up SDA but became one at age 23. I was raised in a nominal church and first accepted Jesus as my Saviour at Baptist Bible camp when I was 10. After some teenage foolishness, I wanted to come back to God and studied with Pentecostals at age 20. By then I'd read the Bible cover to cover and their doctrines were putting red flags up in my heart. What I found studying with my wife and her pastor was a complete circle of truth where each truth relates to every other and back to the cross. Adventism is the truth, hands down, for sure!
While I have been greatly blessed by this background theme we call "The Great Controversy", I do know as a church that we don't always do the best job of describing it. Our focus is usually showing how the doctrines we teach and our place in the world fit in with this theme. People from other denominations are left to wonder where and how what we teach relates to the cross and the born again message. This video provides some good material for that tie in.
What we need to do in order to give our enemies no excuse is word things in a way to help them understand we do believe in the born again message of justification by faith and that all our unique 'unorthodox' doctrines spring forth out of that experience. A truly converted person will want to obey God. The false gospel of the evangelicals teaches God's love gives them permission to sin. The only reason they preach this is to avoid the Sabbath. Yet when you get right down to it, that theology is what is responsible for gay marriage, pornography, drugs and the rest of the sins of the left.
To say the same thing another way, too much of our theology is designed to win doctrinal arguments with people already converted from other churches. We take their conversion for granted and just go straight to the Sabbath, truth about death, sanctuary etc.

Even many current SDA leaders (whom I listen to on podcasts) often point that Adventists engage in "sheep stealing" rather than doing the real groundwork that other Christian groups do in leading people to Christ. SDA evangelism is primarily the "Revelation Seminars" or some apocalyptically focused form of evangelism attempting to lead people to the "right day" of the week to worship God on. You rarely see Adventist street preachers out in the gutters of humanity. If you do, they usually have a microphone and copy of the Great Controversy to hand out.

@@NoSundayLawComing Interesting since you've given me much negativity on the videos of my 'lesmillman' channel. I am not here to trash the church like you but improve it. As I said in several recent videos there, these 'anticult' ministries are rude people who think they're better than others. These groups have obviously never read Acts chapter 5:33-39. Whether or not I agree with a different religion, I'm here to put forth what I believe as positively as I can, showing how the love of Jesus fits with our doctrines. But sometimes true love is tough love, so here goes some words just for you sir.
A set of meetings in a public venue where anyone can come is free speech, not sheep stealing. We don't know who is from what church the moment they walk in the door. I told a story in my video on Christ's wilderness experience of a Pentecostal pastor who was exposed to six different views on the rapture before coming to a prophecy seminar and later joining the Adventist church. Six different views on a teaching of Futurism? Well at least five of them are wrong as I said in the video.
What I didn't say, was that pastor's story also included a great deal of time trying to find the rapture in the Bible before coming to that seminar because he was writing a book on end time events. When he listened to the Adventist speaker and saw the line of biblical reasoning he said to his wife they were both finally getting truth on the second coming. We follow the Historicist method of prophetic interpretation. Futurists have to use the day for a year principle to get a date for Daniel 9:24-27 and they then ignore the rule for everything else. When they can't make Daniel 8:14 fit with a futurist interpretation, they jump over to Preterism and say it was Antiochus Epiphanes.
Historicism gives us an understanding of the value of church history as it unfolded that Futurists simply gloss over. The essential idea of a Sunday law is a return to the dark ages in our modern time. That's what the image of the beast is all about, being like the corrupt church was back then. The law will be proof to the universe that intellectual, political and social development is not enough to save the world. Spiritual corruption can still happen even in our time. And since you don't believe, who's side will you be on? Will the love of Jesus be in you when so many around you are willing to kill for Sunday and we are willing to die for the Sabbath?

Les, I'm sorry, I didn't realize that was you when I commented here. (I think you had politely asked for us to end our discussion on your channel some time ago). By the way, I initially stumbled across your channel because you had made a video defending the "Shut Door" doctrine. (There are very few videos on the topic of the Shut Door).
I know it may seem to you that people like me are coming out of nowhere on some form of attack against Adventism. May I say that when I am speaking with Adventists one on one, I am much softer in my approach. However, when posting comments I have found that I have to be much more straightforward in my approach, otherwise SDAs seem to miss the problem. In short, SDAs have theology that is hostile towards other Christians. They need to be made aware of this inherent hostility and slander towards the rest of the Body of Christ that is built into their eschatology, otherwise SDAs will simply carry on with it, with no shame or self-reflection. Adventists should expect righteous pushback of such slander towards other Christians
And this is the real problem with the notion of a Sunday law. It is designed to elevate the Adventist denomination to a uniquely special status by causing disdain for other members of the Body of Christ who are labeled the bad guys and the real enemies of Christ. The level of disdain rises to the point where these supposed "Sunday keepers" will apparently seek to enact legislation that ultimately requires putting to death others for merely observing the 7th-day as Sabbath (something the Jews have for thousands of years). These non-7th-day Sabbatarian Christians (who had prior been both God-loving and God-fearing) will somehow suddenly lose their entire moral compass and abandon Christ's command to "love even your enemies'', at which point they will come gunning for the Adventists by enforcing a national/universal Sunday law. I am sorry but this notion is completely preposterous and wreaks of severe paranoia.
Just look at the question you asked me. You asked *"Will the love of Jesus be in you when so many around you are WILLING TO KILL FOR SUNDAY and we are willing to die for the Sabbath?"*
Please notice. You seem to believe that you are moral enough that you would never kill someone over this matter, but yet you think other Christians will. Why do you SDAs just automatically assume the absolute WORST in other Christians? (My suspicion is that SDAs don't really think other Christians are true Christians to begin with).
It should be noted that there is *no evidence that Sunday-keeping Christians have the least inclination to persecute Sabbath-keepers over their day of worship* . Most Christians today would be appalled at the very thought of persecuting another Christian to death over a doctrinal issue. Rather these other Christians will fight for the right for SDAs to worship as they wish.
This notion of killing people over Sunday worship is a *completely hyperbolic* and unwarranted consideration to even consider.
I have been intensely studying the Sunday law for the last four years, and we from history that the type of Sunday law that SDAs imagine *has never occurred* . Sure there have been blue laws since the Edict of Milan, but we see no real "forceful type" of Sunday blue laws UNTIL the Protestant reformation. The Roman Catholics had no such laws demanding people to attend church on Sundays with the threat of the death penalty. This sort of legalism developed under the charters of some of the first colonies in the north America. For example under the Virginia colony charter there was a death penalty associated for repeatedly breaking a Sunday law. However I could not find *ANY* documented case that anyone anywhere was ever executed for disobeying such a law. If such a thing happened we should have plenty of documented historical accounts of it.
Since I could find no evidence in my own studies if such atrocities, I finally asked A.I. to confirm OR disprove my own findings (and you can do the same). I asked *"Has anyone ever been executed due to a Sunday law?"*
Answer:

While there have been instances of wrongful executions and controversial cases throughout history, none of them are directly attributed to a Sunday law. The concept of Sunday laws typically pertains to regulations or restrictions related to activities on Sundays, rather than being directly linked to executions. Therefore, there is no evidence to support the claim that anyone has been executed due to a Sunday law"_ .
If you notice, this finding is quite contrary to the Adventist narrative that constantly proclaims that "what was done in the past will happen again in the near future." Therefore is stands that the Adventist narrative is false, and completely exaggerated. If you think otherwise, please show actual historical accounts of people being put to death due to Sunday law.

If there’s no Great Controversy between Christ and Satan. That means they are just simply working together and hell is just a place God sends you to, that is ruled by Satan and his demons and they roast you with a fork in hell fire for eternity. Satan is in charge of hell, and God is in cooperation with him to punish sinners for eternity even though Satan is the one that caused man to sin in the first place. The Roman Catholic portrayal of hell is a place of eternal torment ruled by Satan. And in that view God “sends”you to hell. And if Satan is the ruler of hell God is cooperating with him to torment the souls of the lost for eternity.
In fact this is how the media mostly portrays God and Satan based on what Christianity says.
How can a righteous, loving, and just God, not have a controversy with the literal creator of lies, murders, unrighteousness and injustice.

The majority of Christians believe in the eternal soul, and heaven and hell are just places, you go immediately after death. If there is no controversy between God and Satan. Christians like you base your presentations on the Bible with scripture to back up what you say, and the critics attack you and others SDAs with name calling and statements with no Bible proof. Jesus never attacked and insulted others, and those who follow Him will act like Him. We don't need to respond to attackers because their fruits tell us they are the children of the devil. Wallowing in the mire of the “great disappointment”, a quote from William Miller in the December 11, 1844 edition of the Advent Herald said this:
_“We have done our work in warning sinners, and in trying to awake a formal church. God, in his providence, has shut the door; and we can only stir one another up to be patient, and be diligent to make our calling and election sure"_ .
During this time these disappointed Millerites did not believe it necessary or even possible to reach out to the lost, who had rejected William Miller's final call. *Salvation was only open to those who had accepted the message of William Miller* . During this time they did no evangelizing, a period which lasted over 6 years! The little flock remained little, and according to them, the entire outside world had missed the boat, lost to God's mercy.
The Shut door doctrine has since been abandoned by the Adventist church, and it has been acknowledged as some sort of "mistake" , and rightfully so. Nevertheless, the implications are significant. It shows us that the early Adventist pioneers got it wrong, and we need to be honest in describing what was taking place back then. These disappointed Millerites were suffering from great cognitive dissonance due to their error in trying to predict Christ's second coming. In addition they had developed a severe persecution complex as they faced backlash from other Christians whom they had previously label as being in “Babylon” for their disbelief in Miller's prediction. To stave off all the negativity going on, these early pioneers of Adventism found it easier to maintain their own rightness on this matter by doubling down and condemning other Christians.

You know Adventists make the claim that Ellen White is one of the most prolific writers on the planet and that she has been largely read by so many. I have yet to meet one person who has read the Great Controversy and is not a Seventh-day Adventist. Nobody reads Ellen White except for SDAs.

SDAs ask us to read Job 1:6 for their support of *"BEINGS ON OTHER PLANETS"*
Here is Job 1:6 _"Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them"_
A quick study of the term "sons of God" show that it is used in either speaking of men or sometimes angels. There is nothing about beings on other planets.
Also if beings on other planet's exist, then we open up a whole other can of worms with this idea. These beings would presumably have freewill, like men and angels. Thus they would have the ability to potentially fall into sin (as both men and angels have). And we certainly have absolutely NO knowledge of these other beings passing some sort of test. This is pure presumption on the part of Adventists on both accounts. We could easily just as well assume that some of these other beings might also have fallen. If that is the case then the Godhead would have to have have yet ANOTHER manifestation of "God in the flesh" on one of these other planets to redeem them from their sin (for the atonement on earth was for only Adam's offspring). Thus we would have something now beyond the concept of the Trinity to accomplish such a thing. Perhaps a "Quadrinity" or more. There might be a "third Adam" or a "fourth" and so on.
Additionally, we know per Revelation 21:3 that God is going to dwell forever only with mankind on earth, so how come the rest of the universe gets jipped out of this special privilege?
Another problem that would be difficult, if not impossible to reconcile, is for the beings on other planets to keep the same Sabbath command. After all, unless they had the exact same sized planet revolving around a exactly same sized sun at the same distance, etc., then the Sabbath would become relative, and NOT the same as the Sabbath that God Himself rested on after He created the heavens and the earth.
Also there are other problems that we get into if we maintain that there are beings on other planets who ALSO supposedly follow God's "eternal" Ten Commandments (which Adventists maintain is the case). For example the command to _"Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land that the LORD your God is giving you"_ . If such other beings existed, we have to ask were they also taken out of their own separate Egypt(s) with the promise _"that your days may be long in the land that the LORD your God is giving you"?_ What lands were being given to these other supposed beings, and why would they have promises to "live long" in such places if death were not part of their existence? And of course there are many additional problems we could explore if we go down this road.
Now certainly you can believe what you want about the existence of beings on other planets. It doesn't effect me or other Christians, but it does effect "the Great Controversy" scenario and bring it into scrutiny (which is the topic of this video). Christians certainly have problems with the concept of a "heavenly court" being necessary to acquit God's character. *No one sits in judgement of God's actions* . That is what the book of Job is all about.
*"Let's go back to the Desire of Ages"* (and read another point that helps to prove that The Great Controversy is indeed correct).
As usual, the SDA doctrine is almost true but not quite.
1. The traditional Christian view is that God has His timeline set as to when He will stop history and it is necessary that the humans who live up until that point have the choice to side with God or His enemy. It is no great mystery.
2. The angels loyal to God and human believers in Christ do not need to see any more of Satan and his activities to understand the contrast between God's character and evil character, since the Cross, because we have personal access to God and can know Him directly which is enough.
3. Therefore the Investigative Judgement in which SDA claims the angels and inhabitants of unfallen worlds need to see a replay of all the sin and evil caused by Satan and company to know that God is just, is unnecessary.
The contrast was already displayed at the Cross, when evil vilely brutalized and murdered
the Innocent Lord of All, who never repaid them with evil.

So SDA's if you are worried about Sunday Laws and being hunted and persecuted for being Sabbath keepers and get the mark of the beast and lose your end time special seal ( all these unbiblical ideas were from J. Bates, Uriah Smith, and a few others) take comfort. Your prophet has the solution. In Testomonies vol 9 p. 232-238, she explains what they did in Australia . Just blend in. Have evangelistic meetings, do missionary work, etc. So what's the difference between what she is prescribing and what the apostates are currently doing. According to your logic, that would make you part of the whore of Babylon which all your leaders are adamantly teaching you to avoid. Please explain.
If you have read or decide to read the Great Controversy book, take note of chapter 28 which speaks about the Judgement, read chapter 39 which speaks about Gods people having to stand alone on this earth without Christ for a period of time prior to Christ’s second coming. Because of this they are unwilling to entertain the idea that what they reguard as truth, may actually be a lie. In the end they may find themselves waring against God. One author puts it this way;

Daniel 8:14, "And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed." Leviticus 16: 20-22, "And when he hath made an end of reconciling the holy place, and the tabernacle of the congregation, and the altar, he shall bring the live goat: And Aaron shall lay both his hands upon the head of the live goat, and confess over him all the iniquities of the children of Israel, and all their transgressions in all their sins, putting them upon the head of the goat, and shall send him away by the hand of a fit man into the wilderness: And the goat shall bear upon him all their iniquities unto a land not inhabited: and he shall let go the goat in the wilderness." The goat that represents Jesus dies, but the one that represents Satan is sent into the wilderness. The sins that Christ died for shall ultimately be placed on Satan the one who is the cause of all sin, and he will be sent into the wilderness until his head is crushed by Jesus who puts all sins on him. Jesus died for our sins on the cross. Satan did not die for our sins, but they will be placed on him because he has to pay for all the dirt he has done to Jesus and us. Those who choose Christ have the blood of His sacrifice to pay for their sins, but those who do not accept will not be covered by His blood, and they will be destroyed like Satan. The earthly sanctuary was a pattern of the heavenly sanctuary, which shows us God plan for ridding the world of sin. "Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens; 2 A minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man. 3 For every high priest is ordained to offer gifts and sacrifices: wherefore it is of necessity that this man have somewhat also to offer. 4 For if he were on earth, he should not be a priest, seeing that there are priests that offer gifts according to the law: 5 Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount" Hebrews 8:1-5. Also, read Leviticus 16. Here is the 30- second answer: they will be placed on Satan, causing his head to be crushed as promised in Genesis 3:15, but some people won't understand that answer without the background, so I gave that too. Reading a book is not a problem to me. We can read the great controversy as we can read the apocrypha. The problem is when we consider these books as inspired. I am not an orthodox either, I am just a follower of Christ who is living under his amazing grace while keeping his commandments.
Why are we so eager to create doctrine, add ideas to the bible. Just study the bible to be mature in the word but do not add to the word of God. When we are too philosophical we deviate from the bible....

I know I am just a regular person on here. Where most will not care, even though they should, because anyone who's supposed to be a person of God and wants to share the gospel as Jesus called us to do, then we're called to do it.
But the gospel does not just involve John. 316 people so easily misunderstand that because they don't pay attention to all of John 316, they only pay attention to the part they want to part of that even includes about death, if you really pay attention to John 316. It says a lot more than people think it is about just the grace. We're accepting the gift, but that's between you and God, you need to study that out. I can't prove that to you no matter how easily I show you all the scriptures. If you're blind, you're blind.
As for the great controversy, I as next Catholic for 30 years, who was born into the faith and had many questions since I was 8 years old, because I knew things weren't right. There were many things wrong going on within that church. Learning everything from how salvation is understood. To the confessional to the state of the dead and so many other things, even at 8 years old, God allowed me to know there are things wrong. But until I read my mom's Catholic Bible for the first time, around 28 years old, even in the books of the Bible that don't belong, they really shouldn't be there like Tobit and so forth. Guard through his wisdom of the Holy Spirit. Led me through that Bible. Step-by-step with my eyes so wonderfully open and that light bulb going off in my head saying? Yes, that's the questions I have been asking all these years, and it's right there in the word, but because, as a Catholic, we didn't read the word. We only heard a verse here or there. You know, from the priest or from elector or etc. How can you put scripture together in context? When you literally hear 2 versus maybe AA mass other than the so-called scripture, they use en mass for the mass. Now, they don't really use scripture, they use their interpretation of events. Out of scripture, big difference and their interpretations are really backwards and maligned.
Long before I became a 7th day Adventist. And by the way, I'm right here to admit as a 70 event, as the church as a whole is falling into apostasy, meaning the leadership. And I can prove that, unfortunately, like the Bible foretold, but the people of God in the seventh Avengers church, the people of other churches who are of God Remember the Bible didn't say anything about being a denomination. Heaven it just says the people of God are the church of God, so that's anyone that comes out of her. My people falsehood and follows Christ, we'll walk into heaven with him in the air dead and Christ rice first, then the ones who are alive in Christ will rise with them in the air.
. The great controversy which I've read for myself several times has the truth. It says it has now Ellen white. I do believe was a prophetess. I don't put her on the same plane, obviously as Christ. No one should no 1 should put any profit from the Bible on the same plane as Christ. That's the whole point. Christ is Christ. Our profit is just a profit. No one's special, she hears. My point is you guys all use these little attacks on things that don't even exist. So you can create bigger attacks, so you can just try to discredit discredit. Anything the church teaches okay, but as I said, and I was honest the church itself. The leadership is falling into apostasy, hopefully they'll snap out of it. And individuals of that leadership will come back to guard if they don't, that's their free will. My statement to the brother is to properly show what the SDA Great Controversy is, how it started (doing this will show how extrabiblical and wrong it is), and after the groundwork has been properly laid for it THEN show that the Bible teaches that. I hope my point is much clearer now. If you desire, I can post some key summaries of the Great Controversy so that it can be seen how unbiblical it is. The presenter didn't do any of that.

Controversy with the Great Disappointment
I said nothing about 1844. I quoted Bible and gave explanations for the scriptures, and it is obvious you don't agree, so I have no more to say other than why don't you explain what all those texts mean that you quoted but did not explain. I know what I believe, and refuse to argue about the scripture because the purpose of the scriptures is to bring unity to the body of Christ, but critics only want to argue and ridicule. A string of questions is not an answer to your original question, which I answered. Since you understand the plan of salvation, why don't you explain the sanctuary service as it relates to Jesus' work of atonement, what the two goats stand for, and why the Bible speaks of a high priest in a Heavenly sanctuary. Who is He? and what is He doing up there? And for the sake of understanding, please don't just drop scriptures, explain what they mean. And why don't you start with that 30 minute answer to your original question.

This is pure supposition. Where do we find this concept in the Bible? (It's not in 2 Cor chapter 4). Also, the presence of "men and angels" in our universe is one thing, but the notion of people on other planets is never spoken of anywhere in the Bible.

Everywhere else in the Bible that the term "sons of God" is used, it is either speaking of men and sometimes angels. There is nothing about beings on other planets.
(By the way, I read 2 Cor 4 as you pointed out, and I did not find what you quoted in the video. Perhaps it is somewhere else in the Bible)
Also if beings on other planet's exist, then we open up a whole other can of worms with this idea. These beings would presumably have freewill, like men and angels. Thus they would have the ability to potentially fall into sin (as both men and angels have). And we certainly have absolutely NO knowledge of these other beings passing some sort of test. This is pure presumption on the part of Adventists on both accounts. We could easily just as well assume that some of these other beings might also have fallen. If that is the case then the Godhead would have to have have yet ANOTHER manifestation of "God in the flesh" on one of these other planets to redeem them from their sin (for the atonement on earth was for only Adam's offspring). Thus we would have something now beyond the concept of the Trinity to accomplish such a thing. Perhaps a "Quadrinity" or more. There might be a "third Adam" or a "fourth" and so on.
Additionally, we know per Revelation 21:3 that God is going to dwell forever only with mankind on earth, so how come the rest of the universe gets jipped out of this special privilege?
Another problem that would be difficult, if not impossible to reconcile, is for the beings on other planets to keep the same Sabbath command. After all, unless they had the exact same sized planet revolving around a exactly same sized sun at the same distance, etc., then the Sabbath would become relative, and NOT the same as the Sabbath that God Himself rested on after He created the heavens and the earth.
Also there are other problems that we get into if we maintain that there are beings on other planets who ALSO supposedly follow God's "eternal" Ten Commandments (which Adventists maintain is the case). For example the command to _"Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land that the LORD your God is giving you"_ . If such other beings existed, we have to ask were they also taken out of their own separate Egypt(s) with the promise _"that your days may be long in the land that the LORD your God is giving you"?_ What lands were being given to these other supposed beings, and why would they have promises to "live long" in such places if death were not part of their existence? And of course there are many additional problems we could explore if we go down this road.
Now certainly you can believe what you want about the existence of beings on other planets. It doesn't effect me or other Christians, but it does effect "the Great Controversy" scenario and bring it into scrutiny. Christians certainly have problems with the concept of a "heavenly court" being necessary to acquit God's character. *No one sits in judgement of God's actions* . That is what the book of Job is all about.

If the Bible doesn't mean there are living beings in other places in 2 Cor. 4, Eph. 1, Job 1 and other passages, then what does it mean? And where do you suppose Elijah, Moses, Enoch and the resurrected saints from Matt. 27 are? Anyway, you're missing the point. These are just tiny details. The real story is that Jesus died for you and me, that He wants us to follow Him and die to self, and that Satan is the mastermind behind all evil. He wants you to miss these truths and die the second death.

So, if SDA were for equity and justice, why did EGW approve separate, but equal evangelism, in the south?
Instead of reading other books, why not read what Dr. King read, the KJV Bible, particularly Isaiah, chapters 1-33.
Isaiah asks who has chosen you and whom do you choose? There's your contrast, in scripture.
Isaiah was 2700 years ahead of EGW.
Choose Christ. The commonwealth of Israel explains it better and simpler.

The Great Controversy can be explained in two simple ideas. It's true righteousness by faith and world history from God's point of view. For those who reject it, they do so because of an infantile understanding of the Scriptures. For us, the Bible's storyline is God against Satan, each trying to use their people. For them, it's Israel against the Philistines. They only see the human side of the experience.
Further to the world history concept:
Satan spent 4000 years trying to tell the universe he was the real victim until Christ came down and "outvictimed" him on the cross. And when He went back to heaven, the conflict between good and evil was taken to the next level as church history was a repeat of Old Testament Israel's history. The time of the Judges parallels the early church where the persecution was from without and there was no central leader. The time of the kings is paralleled by the rise of the Vatican. Most Pope's were corrupt and the persecution now was within the faith.
On true righteousness by faith:
There's one way to be saved, the total surrender of ourselves to God whereby allowing Him to work in us to give us the ability to obey Him out of love. It's not just all the do's and don'ts. It's the kindness with which we apply them to all around us. There's two ways to be lost. One is the way of open sin. The other is the way of self-righteousness, trying to obey God in your own strength, according to your own definition of what constitutes right and wrong, a definition which differs from His in some way.
The Great Controversy has a "third" aspect, and that is the importance of keeping the Sabbath.
This becomes so important that one's very salvation is dependent upon keeping it at the end of time.
