Why does it take time to connect to the GPS ? I noticed my time for a 3 mile run was off as I press start anyways. Never had this problem until this week.
When I went for a skateboarding break today during work hours it took my Garmin Fēnix 6X smartwatch about 45 seconds to 70 seconds to snag a GPS signal. And the reason was the last time I worked out I was in northern Idaho and that location was nearly 400 miles from today’s workout. Did you recently travel since your last workout?
Have you checked to see if there are any updates for your Garmin watch?

What should i do?
If your GPS is not functioning when you are outside, restart, check for upgrades, and then contact Garmin Support. Best of luck and I hope it can be fixed. What Garmin model do you have?
