Suppose you want to change the b button (lap button) to a rest option (if you are running intervals). How would you do that? If i for example choose the pool-svimming option, the b button makes you jump between rest and work. Is there a similar way to this in a simple way or do i need to predefine the workout on my phone?
think that watch face was downloaded from the Connect IQ store. You should be able to browse from the Garmin connect on your phone. Just be aware that some watch faces will drain the battery faster
My watch got into run walk mode..i dont want that mode..i prefer the view with pace hr distance time..but i dont know how to get back to that view..can you please help me
Various factors: distance from the last time you did an activity, environment and time between activities. Most recent GPS devices will hold the « almanac » when receiving GPS signals, the satellites you get a signal from are usually the same ones. The almanac holds a few days worth so that it looks for them the next time. That’s why you get a signal within 10 seconds, other times it’s 2 minutes.
Great to see a review that actually explains the running features what you want to buy the watch for! Thanks man!
Glad it helped!
Thank you!! Couldn’t figure some of this out.
Glad I could help!

How do you set up a multi-sport activity ont he viveoactive 4S to achieve the "Brick" badge in garmin connect.
Does auto pause allow you to take a break? Say in a coffee shop? Without automatically turning off?
As I recall it will stop the activity after 20 min

Hey Jim, MakeUseOf just linked to this from one of their How To guides. Let's see if you get a boost from it.
Awesome!
Hiw do you create an interval workout? Warmup/ run / cooldown etc
Check my garmin tutorial playlist, I have it covered with previous forerunner models and it’s the same setup.
Does the pace alert work like forerunner? Alerts you when pace is too fast or too slow and can set low and high pace?
Yes, it should act the same
Does the GPS start that slow?
