Was trying everything, powering off device, powering off phone. Resetting my Garmin to factory settings but all resulting in the same pairing failed message. Not till I found you vid that I cycled the Bluetooth on an off did it work. (I thought cycling the power to the phone was the same as cycling the Bluetooth so I never tried.) all is good now - Thanks!

none of this worked for me. it was very helpful though as I was able to sync my watch to my computer by manually updating the software so I wouldn't lose the data when I decided to restore to factory settings. this is what finally worked for me. had I not followed this video I would have lost my data!
Yeah. Long story short, Garmin's software is pretty flaky really. It's such a shame as I generally find their hardware about the best out there, but it's badly let down by unreliable and unintuitive software.
I have garmin instinct 2s solar, and it was reset, the software version is 7. It does not connect to garmin connect via bluetooth (the six digit code is not shown at all). I cannot add it to garmin express too as windows says "it does not recognize the device". I do not know what to do now, as I am unable to connect it to a phone or even update it manually :(
It says it is connected. But it still wont add my workouts to the watch. It keeps saying to "sync with Garmin Connect for next workout" - but it is connected. So not sure what to do. I have tried all the things.
Are you sure the workout is a compatible workout with the watch or is the workout matching entitle as the last one? Like are the first 15 characters of the workout that’s not syncing the same as the last one?

Garmin fenix 6x. Can’t pair with android. Did restart on phone and device. Deleted and reinstalled app on phone. Did hard reset on watch. Removed device from garmin connect app. Watch will still not pair with phone. I open settings and go to pairing mode, I open app on phone and select add device, goes to pairing but yet phone does not see watch and watch says initialising and then pairing failed try again… I also can’t seem to find the Bluetooth pin that’s suppose to appear on watch that must be typed in on connect app… please help
all yes BUT I connect and connect and connect every 2 or 3 days because once the phone is far away enough to lose connection with the watch it never connects back again automatically and It cant be the solution to uninstall, and install the app again and again every time just to establish the connection and adding the same device over and over again…
With a new phone (Apple) I struggled to pair a Fenix. We tried everything from turning off phones & watch even uninstalling Connect on the phone and resetting the watch. Nothing worked. Deleting the cache of the iPhone also didn't help (Settings-general-storage-...). In the end the solution was simply to log off in the garmin app and log in again, then pairing and setup was successful.
Rather embarrassing admission but thought it might help someone else. I was having issues connecting to Garmin Express on my PC. I 'assumed' that it was my Garmin Connect phone app that Express needed to talk to. I tried everything for an hour until I realized that the PC wanted to talk to the watch, NOT my cell phone (connect app.) I plugged in the watch to the PC and problem solved.
the Garmin Drive app has issues with connecting with their dash cams. having owned their dash cam for over six months now, they still haven’t fixed the connection bug. and from what i understand, this has been going on for awhile now… they need to pay their software engineers more
Not quite sure what's going on at the moment but I'm having some issues. Yesterday I went for a walk, 3.5 miles which is showing in my activity and Strava, but there is no map showing the route. Today I went for a 2.5hr bike ride, the timer worked fine but no data such as distance was recorded. I'm using a forerunner 45, and I've also tried my edge 530 with the same issues. Please help before I throw them both out of the window

Hi, I am struggling to pairing my garmin instict watch with my phone. I have got garmin connect Apps.I tried to fix this problem by phone setting mode on my garmin device. But, when I press the Phone setting mode, it doesn't response at all. I cannot go to pairing mode because it's unresponsive. As a result, it doesn't allow me to fix this problem. My pace isnt showing. It will show my pace when each mile is hit but not only my display. When i check garmin connect it does show me my pace but shows my route in blue as opposed to yelliw orange red for faster paces. My Strava is showing pace. It seems to just be the display on the actual watch. ANY IDEAS?!
There are multiple display faces that could be shown with different configurations with different metrics on them that could be customized, your default one may just be one that is not showing pace as you run so you may need to cycle through the watch faces to get to one that shows pace.

Currently it pops up every now and again but recently its only displaying the word "Pace" and below it where the time should be is only displaying 2 hyphens - -. Its like the "pair phone" option has disappeared under the menu, is this even possible? very frusutrating. When I click menu there is no "phone" option either??
I have a. new F965 Everytime I go into the connect app on my mobile and go to the data screens for run, it shuts my watch off. It only does this for "run", no other activities ..... I've done everything in this video and it still doesn't work. any ideas?
First time hearing this issue, software update would be my guess, but you probably tried that. Contact Garmin would be my next bit of advice if you have tried everything. Factory reset may be another
When I try to sync, the white loading circle that goes around the watch goes almost 360 around, but then it turns green and disappears when it’s 90% done loading. And won’t load my exercise to my iPhone, connect app.. please help, so frustrating
Did it get worked out yet? Sometimes its multiple restarts that could help or running an update again.

FB page also doesn't respond...suspicious.. It starts to get annoying these problems with Garmin. Suunto and Polar, even Casio doesn't seem to have issues so often.

Removing / re-adding watch worked for me.
It was not pushing scheduled activities from Connect to watch, this fixed immediately.

Go to your phone > Bluetooth > find your device and press "Ignore" > try to pair it again. This worked for me.

The os has seemed to get more stable of the 2.5 years of owning the 945, haven't had a ton of issues like at the beginning.

Make sure you switch on the LOCATION in phone settings, that's the simple thing why mine wouldn't pair (android).

Have you updated and or restarted your watches? The map showing up should be a function of Strava, but I have not heard of this issue before.
