@@TheManWithTwoWatches i have garminpay and works good (europe) and this year zeppay (amazfit) is available in two banks in my country. It's advantage over coros that doesn't have working payment option.

The auto-detect workouts functions very nicely on the T-Rex 3 smartwatch. I would like to see Amazfit do something more with their readiness score and naps. I feel that the human "ready" score should fluctuate during the day based upon: 1. activity 2. workouts 3. heart rate, stress 4. naps I am not that impressed with Apple Watches over the years. Apple still lacks a sleep score and they don't have recovery time either. I prefer the sleep tracking of my rings, Amazfit, COROS, and Garmin.

Yes, the T-Rex 2, the Balance, the Cheetah Pro, the Falcon, and several other models. For one reason or another the new Amazfit Active Edge, nope, it did not ship with "Driving" workout/mode :(

Thank you for your comment and thoughts about watches. I do like the look of the Galaxy Watch Ultra and truly have just the following complaints: 1. no lap button 2. no rotating bezel or digital dial 3. battery life should be five days

I'll think about it... but as of today, most likely not. Apple Watches ruin the following: 1. too many touch controls 2. lame battery life 3. no recovery time 4. no sleep score 5. only a one-year warranty 6. expensive...

Interesting... I am now testing the Enduro 3 and its solar charging capabilities. Yes, it charges quickly and the battery life is truly amazing for everything it does. In way, yep, the Enduro 3 took the best of the Fenix 7 and from the EPIX 2 watches.

I feel the heart rate tracking is about 85 to 91% accurate during sleep, workouts, and daily wear.

Great news about the Suunto 9, and thank you for sharing. I decided to give Suunto another test during Q1-2025.

@@TheManWithTwoWatches it’s an old watch but I like it cuz it does what I need it to do also it’s very cheap nowadays so seems like a great entry level watch. I plan to use it also for long trail runs and it’s definitely gonna last me a lot with that battery life. Yes it lacks some functions other watches have but it’s good in what it does

And that is all that most folks need, an entry level watch that simply works, keeps the time, tracks workouts, onboard GPS navigation, heart rate, and more. Glad you are happy with the Suunto.

Yep, it is quite amazing. I am going on Day Seven with my T-Rex 3 and have collected more than 10 hours of GPS workouts, sleep tracking, SP02 status, heart-rate every five minutes, raise-to-wake enabled, and much, much, much more. It should make the remainder of today, tonight, and into DAY 8, awesome battery life and a fun to wear.

What color of band did you order for your T-Rex 3? I am just finishing an eight-day battery test with my T-Rex 3... oh yeah! Over nine hours of GPS workouts, raise-to-wake enabled, airplane mode used while sleeping 8 hrs per night, SP02 tracking during sleep, a few naps, and over 600 notifications over the past 8 days, dang! I don't know how Amazfit is able to get such awesome battery life. Why are Samsung and Apple so lame with their watch batteries?

The build quality of the Garmin Fenix is better than the T-Rex 3. However, the T-Rex 3 has more smart features. I sold my Fenix 6X sapphire solar and kept my EPIX 2.

You are... most welcome. The Wi-Fi on the T-Rex 3 does not stay enabled for very long, so that should not be an issue for you when wanting to save battery life.

@@TheManWithTwoWatches It's not actually about energy saving but I try to limit exposure to electromagnetic pollution. I'm passionate about mechanical watches but I still need a quartz watch or smartwatch for work. What bothers me most is that usually in these watches the battery doesn't last long but this T-rex 3 is starting to be decent. I also considered getting a Tissot T touch which is a hybrid between mechanical and smartwatch but I think using it for work would be a waste of money

Yes, the same for me too. Electronic signal are all around me at home, work, Taco Bell, you name it. If I can reduce electromagnetic pollution, yes, please count me in. All gadgets should have "Airplane Mode" if they were made since the year 2020 (according to me). Now, if you're wanting an amazing watch with Airplane Mode and superb battery life, oh yeah, the Garmin Instinct 2X Solar is one of my favorites. Unsure if there will be an Instinct 3X solar series released before Christmas 2024. And yet, I am very happy with my 2X solar and the fact it lasted me nearly 90 days utilizing free sunlight power...

Garmin has a track-me feature, but I like the Driving Workouts better via Amazfit.

Dude u being serious? do you know how much weight riders lose during Nascar and F1? the heart rate, sheer physics and temperature has a significant impact on their bodies during a race. They lose about 5 to 10 pounds of sweat on average. Not to mention just for navigation.

Nope, I was driving a 2,500 pound vehicle on the freeway and I often mute the watch by placing it in "theatre mode" to avoid distractions. When a $300.00 timepiece tells me my average speed, distance with 95% accuracy, and the amount of time I wasted waiting at traffic lights, yep, that is good enough for me. I can see your point though for I have tracked car trips as a passenger. I have noticed the same errors when using "Track Me' with an expensive Garmin Fenix 7.

@@TheManWithTwoWatches yeah it's nice more than need, still it's hard to unsee. The Venu 2 I had with me lagged much less and is what you would consider normal from a GPS watch given the constraints. You have "auto-pause" on to track the time "wasted"?

Yep, I enabled auto-pause for my next drive to work in a few days. I'll be comparing the Drive Mode on the T-Rex 3 versus the T-Rex 3 to verify the new GPS accuracy Amazfit has told us about.

Yes, I already wore the T-Rex 3 and the Active Edge for 72 hours to gather the data... Just need to make the three hours to edit the footage 🤓

The PowerLife app is not compatible with all watches. I was able to install on the following: 1. T-Rex 3 2. T-Rex 2 3. Balance 4. Cheetah Pro And yes, the Amazfit app store needs a "Search" function yesterday ;)

I started watching the Apple Event and then lost interest with their cheesy line, "... our best iPhone yet..." Shinier, a wee bit faster, another button to use up my LTE Internet, and A.I. that will constantly craze hi-speed data to wear out my battery. I don't know about the iPhone 16 :( As for the Galaxy Watch Ultra, Galaxy Watch7, and even the Galaxy Watch6 Classic, oh yeah, all three of those are marvelous with auto-tracking workouts. It just tracks it sans confirmation. Sorry about the AWU disappointment. Apple Health needs the following: 1. ability to give Users a sleep score 2. better reports 3. ability to use my iPhone for workouts, steps, etc. when my Apple Watch is charging 11% of my 18-hour day ;) 4. tracking naps is feckless unless my 20 to 38 min. power naps augments my sleep score and effects my readiness 5. readiness score and or recovery data post workouts The folks over at Ultrahuman are way ahead of Apple when it comes to readiness, recovery, and integration with glucose tracking.

Ah yes... the Samsung Watch FE (Fan Edition), an excellent choice of timepiece. I am unsure if I will test the GWFE (Galaxy Watch FE) later this year or not. I just order a DJI drone for outdoor adventures. I hope you enjoy your new Galaxy Watch :)

Nope, you are incorrect, sir... Many Garmin watches have "auto-detect" workouts and it is a free feature. The Garmin EPIX 2 from 2022 that is around my left ankle right now, yes, that automatically tracks workouts, but the data is lame. The Garmin Venu 2 Plus (collect dust in a drawer), yeah, that tracks walking, running, cycling, and more using nice, useful data. I would say that my Amazfit Cheetah Pro auto-detects workouts just as smoothly as my new Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra.

I would recommend to... pass on buying the TicWatch Pro 3, too buggy of a watch. I recommend the new T-Rex 3 or the Amazfit Cheetah Pro, or their Balance smartwatch. All three of those watches are more fun to wear and provide more consistently accurate workout, sleep, heart rate, and 30 other health metrics about your body for less money than Mobvoi charges.
