The resources available for new musicians these days are amazing. What a difference a decade or two makes! I taught myself and had to find my own jam partners organically, I would’ve probably become a FAR better player if I’d had access to this kind of community. I LOVE that this exists, gives me a smidgeon more hope for humanity on the whole.
@@face2face78 While it’s true that Paul is a FANTASTIC dude, literally anyone moderately skilled could do this (myself included). They don’t, he does, and that’s just one of many things that make him as great a dude as he is.
@@The_sinner_Jim_Whitney indeed. He has his well earned status as a musician and a guitar player. And he still plays and enjoys like a kid, he is incredibly open minded and he jams like he's another student. A truly wonderful man
Paul has always been pure class. Talented player. Super nice, humble guy. Excellent teacher. This had to be such a highlight and thrill for all of these kids on here.
Agreed. Personally, seems like he has feel and technique down pretty good, a whole guitarist, in a sense. And the Paisley Tele is a really cool guitar. But the whole video was great fun :)
I love that man, such a legend and so humble at it, there are not very many high level guitar players that are as chill and aproachable as PG. If im having a bad day watching him play and how much joy it brings to him always cheers me up, it inspires me to play more. keep being aweosme Paul. I got a kazoo today based on your suggestion, and oddly enough it does make harmonizing ideas easier. :)
Paul should win an award for the best Shredder, improvisor, fun loving, Friendly, cheerful, funny , badass, dedicated and etc etc etc .... He was and is my favourite player and i tried to love other guitarist and learn from their styles but I never seemed to feel them as much as to Paul's... I keep coming back to his playing technique and style . . He makes me a better guitarist more than others... I am forever thankful to Paul the Legend Gilbert for what he has done in terms of bettering my playing style and improvising things.... Thank you Master.!!!!!
I wish more great guitarist care enough to help others achieve the goal of being a guitarist. I met Paul once in Chicago at a G3 event and it mad my year!! Been a fan since you first started keep up the good work Paul!
Never watched this video just clicked on it to make this comment. This video was one of the first videos on my yt homepage consistently for over two months now. Just clicked on it for the chance that it would go away from the suggested videos. Thanks RUclips.
Wow. Knocked completely out of the park!! Dude, you're gonna raise up so many awesome guitarists the rest of us schmoes will end up having to work for a living.
This online guitar lesson is so cool! Great video and surely, will show this to our publishers office. We are planning to teach our kids the guitar lesson, just in time!
This is awesome! I can't think of many things that could motivate a player who feels they're stagnating better than this! Great idea and great execution well done guys! Not to say any of these players might feel they're stagnating, however, just I know when I'm on a lull this kinda thing would brighten me up.
FANTASTIC!!!!! Great job guys!!!! Paul is the greatest guitarist on earth, haven't enjoyed someone's playing that much since 1977 when I heard Page for the first time, hehehehe, a lot of fun to watch as well!
FAN-BLOODY-TASTIC!! I really enjoyed that 👍 They can _all_ play lead/solos better than I can, so I'm in no position to throw stones. I *so* want one of those signature guitars that Paul is playing - they're SO PURRRRDY! 😍🎸😍🎸😍🎸
I had a big silly grin the whole time watching this! So fantastic! Thanks Paul for making this happen and congrats to all those in the video. So positive!!!
While jamming with PG, students are asked to remain seated. This will minimize injuries should they literally be blown away. A number of the students have elected to wear flame retardant pajamas as well. This is wise.
Man I love this wish they had this years ago where I could jam with Paul and have him just shred and blow my solo out of the water and he's not even really trying I think a couple of hours with him when I was starting out before I developed all my bad habits would have changed my life so pay attention that s guys one if the great innovators and the new hell of a teacher

nice jamming... love the vibe too (Edit) the teacher looks crazy but that is also a plus in my book (Edit2) my face is melting with the teacher's solos... most likely there won't be a 3rd edit (efit4= mu eues are toichimg mi lags
this is awesome... exactly what the internet should be used for... Those students all did great - I'd be all sweat and clams.
I already liked your comment, so here's a written like in addition.
sweat and clams.....that's either a porn reference or you worked for Buddy Rich......
2:38 I love how it looks like he's actually doing that first note with his mouth hahah
+and then i said I know right, his guitar faces are almost as good as Paul's!
hahaha omg thats bad
***** haha if by bad you mean amazing! haha I clicked that timestamp on my comment a couple of times and it makes me smile every time.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH LOL
I thought he was gonna eat me :(
Man, I how much Paul enjoys playing :)

I was impressed by the quality of Paul's listening to the others. Big ears, big heart.

Wonder where you can find the backing track to try my own riffs?

I Love Paul playing tribute to each other players lead ideas with his own version not showy but grooving right along with them. Love it!
How you could you not like Paul Gilbert? He's awesome and really funny too.
Well, how awesome is this, to jam with Paul. Now every student has a cool story to tell, "I jammed with Paul". Awesome.
The students are good...but Paul's facial expressions are priceless!
"...but your kids are gonna love it"
Paul..... you're the man. Thanks for keeping things fun and down to earth. You're like the Bob Ross of guitar.
Such a great variety of players each with their distinct idiosyncrasies, each a master of their own style.
2:07 My favorite musician out of all of them.
Absolutely! Not overplaying, great creativity, melody and expression. His style of playing has balls and is not predictable. Very professional like.
The bold dude at around 7:00 with the pink guitar is the one that "got it" the best to me :). This was fun to watch
He had the best sound :D....pink guitar is Brad Paisley Telecaster :)
Agreed. Personally, seems like he has feel and technique down pretty good, a whole guitarist, in a sense. And the Paisley Tele is a really cool guitar. But the whole video was great fun :)
that was awesome. i love paul gilbert's faces as well as his insane leads

Paul responded on student's saying, but most students were busying to say their licks. NOT all students, some students tried to talk with, too. Good!
