nice products but the price is truly eye watering , i appreciated quality and r and d ect but its been a long time since i been so shocked with the price of a product , wow these are expensive
You get the best product in the market, money wise, well, think about it as a long term investment, it is the only one you will ever need, simply becouse you can mount them on almost any rack that exist in the market
@@yair1956 900EU for some plastic bags that'll likely tear the first time you get in any sort of crash offroad... thanks guy but that's a ton of cash. also keep in mind that the rubber/plastic on all these bags dry rots in the sun, in 5 years they will have to be replaced so there goes your 'investment'. just like 'investing' in cars that rust away this is an iffy proposition.

My next "suitcase" for the 1250 GSA will probably be MotoBags! The original BMW cases, made by Touratech, on the 1200 GSA were leaking from the beginning, both! The best thing about the MotoBags is that you don't have to take them off when you don't need them, just fold them up. And when you need them quickly, they're there! Félicitations pour cet ingénieux travail ! Cheers, Chrigi
The final product looks amazing Fred. I'd like to think all riders that gave you their feedback, ideas and criticism are recognised for their contribution to your truly excellent product. I know I certainly spent some time thinking about your questions. These are the soft bag unicorn from what I have seen, but are they affordable? Let's hope you have considered the wider market and not the weekend Starbucks ADV crowd.
I really like these and would love to have them. Although, I would prefer a system that I can totally remove the cases when not needed. I don't want to have to unbolt the bags every time or keep the collapsed bags on the bike when not in use.
The designers want you to pull out the inner liner with your contents when u arrive or are finished with the bag and flatten the bag. Thats the intended use case. If you want quick release bags i suggest to look at giant loop.
Looks like you've really spent alot of time making sure these work like they are supposed to. I'm fairly impressed. I haven't looked at the price, but given the quality I'm sure they are at the higher end of the price range for this type of bag. Are there applications for bikes other than ADV bikes? But I guess if you have some kind of rack on already, they should fit, regardless of what kind of bike it is?
900 euros for the pair, without racks... yikes... :o Would love a pair but that is just not justifiable for my wallet. But they are a very nice product!
I've just mounted mine and couldn't figure out how to collapse them with the stiff top sections. It looks like they just fold inside, is that right? So, if it rains while collapsed, does the bag fill up with water? If so, not a useful design feature at all. If not, how do you make sure the top remains sealed to water? thanks!
Graham Neale Good question. Gen2 you could exit the outside strap lower down to allow the top to fold outside and over the opening. Less elegant, but would reduce debris and liquid inside.
Really wish my lady wouldn’t leave me for spending our future wedding money on a set of your bags. I’d love the around the world kit but dang…gotta sell a kidney :)
The intended use case is to take out the inner liner with your contents and leave the bag on the bike. Many manufacuters do this instead of quick release.
Would love a set of these for my Harley for day to day use, I don’t drive a car, but the role top and pad lock just wouldn’t be practical. Do you have any plans for an easier opening day to day version.?
The Mounting for the bags is universal. On my bike, I happen to have old swmotec bars. Works just perfect. Any 3rd party Rig will be great. Thanks and all the best.

You reach your hose sprayer in under the fender and spray from the back? Or you can just spray at an angle from the other side. I'm not sure I understand your question because the answer seems pretty obvious.
@@LONERIDERMoto Touratech has them, a collaboration with Ortlieb, in fact. I discovered them yesterday. They seem to too similar to the bicycle models, maybe too fragile for a small "accident"
Very nice bags but I think the price is really out of proportion. For the Yamaha T7 for example you would have to spend 900€ on the bags and another 250€ on the rack. In my opinion that's just not okay for soft bags. I really think everybody would be riding around with these if you priced them at 500-600€ max. for the bags.
May I suggest you commission a fabric company to weave in a stainless wire like a rip-stop design to the fabric. My two-month-old soft bags would not have been slit open and all my content is stolen on my trip. 10 years with hard cases never had anything stolen.

The ideal bag would be easy to detach from the regular rack (something like the Ortlieb bicycle models). This one is screwed...

It has liners and collapses so that seems unnecessary since you have to have the racks there still anyway.
