Adventure to Ruby Falls

- In this episode, we have an Adventure to Ruby Falls. We start our adventure camping out on the North Saskatchewan River, We then travel out to Drayton Valley to meet up with some other fellow adventurers. Once we reach the trailhead to Ruby Falls we travel into a beautiful mountain valley. We break a wheel stud along the way and also visit the old "Jeep Eater" hole. Once at the falls we are amazed at how beautiful the area is.

This looked like a fun trip. Loved that drone shot of the mountains and that mud puddle looked deep. Also, the falls looked amazing. Adding that to the bucket list. Great video Jason 👍🏽

That jeep eater hole was way deeper before. They filled it in a lot. I remember 42's going under. Ruby it's not a very hard run. But it's one of favorites. Just beautiful country

I love that trail. Great video. I've done that trail about 20 times, but with ATV's only and the Jeep eater hole, yea, eats quads too. A buddy swamped his quad in that one and took out the motor. I've had to jump off my quad at chest deep and walk/float my quad through that hole. We've done that trail when it was under 1' to 2' of snow and the falls we're frozen.

Legit trail and driving skills. Reminds of a little of Whipsaw in BC. That mud hole was some amazing footage!
Thanks!! The whipsaw is on my list for next year.......flood and fire pending of course. I used to live in the Caribou, also planning an epic trip through the Caribou to Bella Coola next year as well

It may be the most beautiful spot in Alberta that you can drive back country using a Jeep. Possibly. But it’s likely not even in the top-100 most beautiful spots in Alberta! 😉

I am in Kamloops BC but go to Alberta frequently. Spring breaks early here so an Easter trail run could be arranged.

Roughly 3 hours from the trailhead with coffee stops.
Great video! Do you think a stock Tacoma TRD Sport (with good tires) could handle it in regular conditions?
Some I'm sure have, but you will likely enjoy it more with a bit more clearance stock might be hard on your truck
Yes...it is possible to make it with a stock Tacoma. You just have to pick your lines in some areas.
I am just thinking of doing this trail in my Ram Rebel, would you say the trail is wide enough to get a 1/2 ton through? or is the trail pretty narrow.
Depends on the time of the year and the weather. Summer and low water levels I have seen Rams on 35's do the trail.
There were tight spots in some sections where the Ram had to squeeze through.
A lot of it also comes down to the line you take.

Question, how would an off-road teardrop do on the trail pulled by a '21 JLUR?
There are some real tight spots in a couple of sections. There was another group out there with a full size ram. He made the right sections with mirrors pulled in. The length may play a factor but for the most part yes an off-road trailer should make it.
Can you do this on a stick sport wrangler?
Or need lockers? And 35s
In the summer can do it in a stock wrangler. Winter time is much more challenging
