That’s Cardinal River coal mine. Use to haul diesel into there until they shut down mining operations in June of 2020
Looks like a good time! Ya where you went straight after that second river crossing is an area called South Esk named after The Earl of South Esk and he was Alberta's first tourist. He rode up through there in around 1859 on horses.
Anyway ya if you would have went right it would have taken you to Ruby Falls.
Nice video but because of facebook and all these you tube video's our hidden gems are starting to get much more people showing up and that is never a good thing. To many people means to many problems. Last some that area was very busy. Abraham Lake is the same. Everybody trying to make money off you tube vids telling everyone else where to go camping and jeeping.
Well hopefully people will just pick up their garbage and it won't be to bad I guess but it's nice to go camping without hundreds of people buzzing all around you like flies lol.
That is a cool area for sure.

eburn71 I use mainly Maps.me but I also use Gaia Backroads Mapbook on my main screen of the jeep with CarPlay to always know on what kind of land I’m!

how do you get internet on your tablet? you have like starlink?
I don’t have internet on my tablet, I use Offline maps on GAIA GPS or Maps.me. But I can link my IPhone to my Ipad if I want to share my internet with my Ipad
When are you getting your winch replaced
What brand is it?
And are you getting the same brand?
After inspection, we found that it was only the pin that hold the rope inside that broke probably because I didn’t left enough rope inside the winch for the work but I had no choice because the closest big tree was pretty far away! My winch is a Warn VR EVO 10S !
