I really love all your builds and you are very skilled and talented. I just have one minor comment.... WHERE IS PART TWO OF THE GONK BUILD?! PLLLEEEEEAAASSSEEE!
Speaking as an R2-D2 builder, droid builders are going to go nuts. This is by far one of my favorite channels and now you are crossing streams into one of my favorite hobbies. This is a great day!
Just had the idea of making a Gonk Droid mini fridge so I typed it into search to see if someone had already done it and I find this masterpiece in progress! Looks great and an excellent video! Looking forward to the next one
Lifting a sheet of OSB the way you did at the beginning is how I tore a ligament in my shoulder. The wind caught it like a sail and I went with it. Lessons learned, 1: don’t lift full sheets like that and 2: don’t do it outside in windy conditions. Eight years later I still can’t throw a baseball with any considerable effort. Not that I was much good at it before 😂
Well, trying to put on a 2nd pair of goggles over a first pair is far better than frustratingly looking for a pair of goggles you already have on, specially when everyone i looking. Awesome build, just awesome. This is also reminiscent of the robots, 'Huey, Louie and Dewey' robots of the 1972 film, Silent Running, starring Bruce Dern.
This would be interesting (well its more then interesting already lol) with a cold plate like they have in sailboats, as its stationary it would be no big deal to run power to it, and no ice needed, just excessive insulation, would work well as a top loader.
Started binging your videos and got to this and, WHAT??? No part two? Then I remembered your stair video and that he's collecting dust in the loft. LOL I have far too many of those projects myself. Started and now getting dusty. LOL
Love it. Looking forward to the final product. Quick question, though.... Would it not have made sense to get hold of a couple of Osmaflow 25g tanks and use them? Would the shipping have been too much? Not that your wooden version is anything other than cool, of course, it's just the very first thing that ran through my brain when I read the title was that these things are still available and it's what they used in '76, so, it'd be hard to get more genuine. But, just a question, nothing whatever wrong with what you're doing, no need for anyone to flip a wing-nut.
At least according to this, they were really only available in the UK and haven't been made for years: www.therpf.com/forums/threads/gonk-droid.290924/.
Gonk gonk gonk gonk gonk gonk gonk gonk gonk gonk gonk gonk gonk gonk Translated to english: if this doesnt look beautiful when finished you will see why im called general gonk droid

I HAVE WAITED THREE YEARS… Now I get to watch parts 1 & 2 in a row!!! WOOT!
Speaking as an R2-D2 builder, droid builders are going to go nuts. This is by far one of my favorite channels and now you are crossing streams into one of my favorite hobbies. This is a great day!
Don't cross the streams.
Awesomeness!!! Still miss the Jetson's car sounds.

Any chance for a part two? Love it so far!
I hit "like" before watching, because I already know I'm gonna.
I like the fact you changed the name of your planer to "Dethicknesser".
🐺waiting for gonk update
I can't stop smiling. Can't wait to see it finished. Let me know if you get stuck on any electronics! I'm happy to try to help!
Life size GNK power droid. Impressive. Most impressive. Obi Wan has taught you well.
It's been so long, that I had to come back to rewatch part 1 🤣👍🏾🇬🇧💙
Hi Wesley, I’m looking forward to part two, can’t seem to find it on your channel
Just had the idea of making a Gonk Droid mini fridge so I typed it into search to see if someone had already done it and I find this masterpiece in progress! Looks great and an excellent video! Looking forward to the next one

What I really need is a droid that
understands the binary language of
moisture vaporators. And one that cools Beer!
This is an awesome build and I can see why you're excited to finish it. Can't wait to see how it turns out.
Gonk!! I can't wait for the rest of this build. It is already looking amazing!
I could definitely use a Gonk droid.

Huge fun! You are by far the most fun channel out there! Thanks for the great tips as well as the chuckles.
Where is part two?? I hope it comes out eventually.
8:20 The DeThickener makes me wish I could subscribe again. 😂
I enjoy your projects, the quality of your items and the presentation. Thank you.
Glad to see a new video. Liking the shaggy look.
Nice, reminds me of SILENT RUNNING movie circa 1972 with Bruce Dern and the droids.
Love the Gonk Droid!
Will we ever get a part 2?
I was also wondering if there was a part 2
Nice work! Congratulations on 100k subs man!
Wow, them’s big chunks-O-wood! Always enjoy your projects, and this multi-part is gonna be no exception. Plus, I’m a huge Star Wars fan!
Tossed out Bed Slats are my new lumberyard! Cheers! Palletwood be damned.
That's going to be a proper "Santa Beard" one of these days. It suits you :D

When you realize that you need to revisit this one & make it walk across the shop to bring the beer to you...
I'll definitely be watching.
MUST. BUILD.THIS....
That little guy is so much fun! If you add a bottle opener, I think I can feature it on @jokecutlery!
Love the project. Also liking the beard and longer hair. Keep on keeping on!
Just as I suspected, Awesome! 🍺👍

Better late than never!
I need more of this in my life!!!
Always love your stuff and your Shop Smiths! I have one my Dad gave and he said the same thing. Dangerous machine.
One of mine was my dad's, also. He defended its usefulness to his death. 😆
@@WesleyTreat Mine was convince it would kill him at any second. Still he made some great stuff with it.
Any chance of a part 2?
At some point 👍
hey nice project. I would like to see the rest of your project
So fantastic! Looking forward to the next one!
Any plans to finish the Gonk droid project?
This is great. Looking forward to part 2!

I can’t find part two
It lies in the future
Seeing a new video from you in my feed is like bumping in to an old friend every time. Love your work sir.

Very cool - 👍👍😎👍👍
This looks so great, didnt realize how large itd be! Nice work
GONK droids were based on old McDonald's trash can, supposedly.
Started binging your videos and got to this and, WHAT??? No part two? Then I remembered your stair video and that he's collecting dust in the loft. LOL I have far too many of those projects myself. Started and now getting dusty. LOL
Where can I find part 2?
Somewhere in the undetermined future. Stay tuned.

Remember , when working in the shop , there is no more important piece of equipment than these saftey glasses glasses .
This already looks epic!😂
Love it. Looking forward to the final product. Quick question, though....

Your "other robot" now needs a blue paint job
Hey Wes, it has been 13 months and no part 2/completion....
I wonder what could have been going on for the last year that might disrupt one's schedule. 🤷♂️
