You two guys get to do some of the most amazing stuff. You both totally rocked this one. And, thanks for the tip on spraying the base color over masked parts before doing the accent color. That'll fix so many of the problems I've had in the past with bleed.
I love this lamp build! You guys made such different pieces but both so very cool. I'm going to have to experiment with the truck liner paint. That might just be a genius technique for that rough texture.
This is great! Came out great! 😊 I like that you used "ageing" instead of weathering....that's the term i tend to use...since i work in film industry....i use weathering once in a while, because most people use that term.
Love this.. I have to say that I had a feeing you would do more planning and CAD it up based on the way you and Brian typed your names in the video call. You had capital letters in your name and Brian didn't. It kind of matched your builds a little where I felt Brian's was more fluid and relaxed and yours was more structured/planned. Both Great builds though.
Van oak prop time
Awesome! Thanks for the painting tip of the same color to seal the tape! My paint game needs help… 😜
Any time!
This turned out so great my friend. Thanks for letting come along for the ride!

I've never seen that technique either and I can tell it's going to up my spray game!!
This turned out really nice. I particularly liked the coil greeblies 2/3 of the way up the lamp.

Fantastic Derek!!! This turned out amazing!!
This is a tremendous lamp. You never cease to amaze!!
Thanks so much!
This is what you do with droids that have a bad motivator. ;)
(I love it! And I love that you did this project together-separately with Brian.) :)
That's right! haha
This one must had a bad motivator because it wasn't even lit up at the end
That turned out awesome!!!
Oh my god. This is so COOL. Wish I had this sort of talent
Awesome job Derek. Love the paint job and weathering
Thank you!
Love this, fabulous project
What a cool build! I love the paint!!!
Now I know what I need for Christmas... You and Brian both make the coolest stuff!

Thats awesome.
Looks awesome 👏👏
Thank you!
Did I miss the shot of the lamp actually on and working as a lamp?
It feels crazy to say this, but it's the one part of the build that I didn't get decent footage of.
Thank you, I was like... did I just miss it?! 20 minutes building a lamp and it never got lit up?!!?!?
Goshdangit that texture looks great!
Thanks, Britt!
Your work never fails to amaze us, now... you need to make a moisture vaporator using a water tank so your friends can get a drink from one. :D
@thesmugglersroom actually did that, although it was a margarita machine.

👍👍‼️
I like it!
Glad you like it
Looks great Derek! I especially love the coils at the top of the stand. Was the alumaluster worth the money even tho you were weathering? Great job!
It’s really amazing what a difference it makes.
Screen-worthy! Do you have a still or video of it lit up?
I did but my camera always suffers at low light video/photo so I didn’t include it in the video
Need to ask what glue you used. Been hard trying to find a heavy duty plastic glue. thank you
5 minute epoxy & CA glue
Very awesome lamp. Have made a few Star Wars inspired table lamps and other themed table lamps. Have videos of them on my channel
I'm gonna go check those out now!
@@VanOaksProps Thank you. Would love some critique or tips from you
Do a outside project inspired by the Ghostbusters movies

I totally agree! I knew that we'd both do something completely different and that's what I love about this kind of project.
