Jimmi is adding so much to the channel, I suppose there's no reason to have him forcibly removed after all.
Love that at 0:46 Lucy waves to a cyclist travelling in the opposite direction. There's not enough of that, we should do it more often. I do it often and it is nice to receive a wave back. And we all love Jimmi by the way too.
If I'd do that where I live I'd never have my hands on the handle bars. Then again, I'm not a "cyclist" I just ride a bike.

I have been to Neptune's Net! The PCH definitely is busy through Malibu and even with the wide shoulder on the Northbound side and the beautiful view of the ocean it does feel uncomfortable because of all the cars going by so fast. So good to have a doctor on call for you!

Very nice! I moved from Southern California 12 years ago and desperately miss riding in the Santa Monica Mountains, but I do not miss riding on PCH. It's safer starting in north Malibu but south of downtown Malibu, you take your life in your own hands.
I've enjoyed the bikepacking trip to LA.

@Cade_Media sadly my parents have died only a few weeks apart Francis, so there have been many visits to hospitals and end of life palliative care at family home in Dunston......so my RUclips watches just took a back seat while caring for mam and dad. May they both rest in peace. Your vlogs over the weekend have cheered me up no end. Thanks Francis & Jimmi.

Another great cycling adventure! 👏👏👏 For what it's worth, I have done a fair amount of research regarding how best to reduce the annoying echo chamber created by a room with all hard surfaces. Tests have revealed that carpeting is outstanding at improving sound quality. Essentially, it provides the best sound quality improvement for the buck/pound/euro. Maybe your new microphones will do the trick. But if not, do with this information what you will. P.S. Hello Lucy! Awesome job on your first cycling trip. Bravo!!! 🙌🙌🙌 P.S.S. I'm back Lucy. Please wax your chain so that you won't have to get your absolutely lovely hands dirty in the future. 👍

PCH 'Cool bit of road'!? pretty busy IMO and not a place to get stuck in the dark with no lights (my fault). Great riding to be had in the Canyons heading inland from Malibu!

About riding bike without luggage, I do remember that from cycling vacations I did in the '80s, it felt like a 'power-up'. Especially in mountainous areas. Nowadays I witness it from switching from my 14.8 kg commute bike, with added 9kg pannier bag with laptop, power supply, 2 chain locks, office clothes on commute day - to a 8.5 kg (including pedals, computer, saddle bag, multi tool and water bottle) Carbon race bike in the weekend... Feels like a feather (well, OK with a 89kg cyclist attached 🙂)

It's always a good idea to bring some simple medical gloves to a trip, you don't want to make your handlebar dirty after some minor repairs/adjustments
Loved watching the ride down the coast. New camera seems like an upgrade in the short comparison I did.
Skin tones look slightly less red, and more natural. Imagine sharpness appears a tiny bit crisper.
You said you're testing out the microphones next episode, but the Sony appeared to knock down the studio echo a small amount with the whatever mic it was using.

0:36 Lucy rubbing her hands on grass. This is why I have a tiny bottle of hand washing soap in my tool kit all the time. Flats and mechanicals are not exactly clean business. I certainly don't want gunk on my bike on my bars and my bartape, especially since I run white tapes all the time. It's quite handy as well for when you want to sanitise your hands for you want to eat or maybe just clean a wound in the event of a crash. It's got plenty of uses for when you're actually out there riding. It's nice to be riding with clean hands. I got this 3ml bottle from a cosmetic product from years and years ago and it still serves me well as far as keeping my hands soapy clean. I reckon a bottle of that size is inconsequential as far as weight penalties go and for the utility you will get out of it.

Love showing the reality of not properly adjusting the upper limit screw but that could have ended much worse with broken spokes/wheel and a spill onto the roadway.

As a photographer myself, I’m very interested in how the new Sony works compared to the Canon. 😂
Not sure if you’re shooting LOG but you can definitely tell the difference in the colour science between the two and the image is a little sharper on the Sony.
I shoot my videos with a Canon R6 and DJI Wireless Go mics. Works pretty well for now but May change it up when I hit 234k subs! 😉

You should ride down the coast from Canada Down to the Mexican border, I rode it last year and the views are amazing and definitely the best trip I’ve done

Is cycling on the ocean side of a coastal road also generally safer as you're more visible? If you're on the mountain side, vehicles may not be able to see you around a hilly corner?
